Over the years I have purchased many of these shirts and love them. I currently own 10 shirts in the short sleeve version and the same number in the long sleeve version. I wear these shirts everyday. Just recently I ordered 2 short sleeve and 1 long sleeve replacement shirts. I have to say I am disappointed in these new shirts. The fabric of the new shirts is much lighter weight than the others that I have purchased in the past. Due to the lighter weight fabric the long sleeve shirt is no where near as warm as my old ones. LL Bean needs to go back the original heavier weight fabric.

In my opinion, the Henley Fit Tee Shirt is a few steps above the fashion tee shirt one would find in department stores. The shirt sleeve shirt is "nothing to write home about." I ordered a long sleeve and shirt sleeve. The shirt sleeve's fabric seems thinner. I thought they might have a similar fabric to the Polo Shirts. I am going to keep it because it seems like a good shirt to wear when the temperature is up in the mid-80's to 100's with humidity. Don't forget to wash them in cold water as with most LL Bean shirts.

I bought two henleys in size large, which I usually get in other brands, and they were too big. I'll try ordering them in size medium and see how they work out.

I had been gifted an L.L. Bean Henley shirt a number of years ago and loved it - after too many washes (and wears) it was time to retire it and get a replacement. I ordered what I believe was the same shirt recently - a short sleeve Henley in the same medium size and white color, at least - but had to return it. Not only was it noticeably longer than my older one - I would have to always tuck it in to avoid looking ridiculous - but it was also thinner. The fact that it was lighter weight didn't bother me too much, but the fact that you could see through the white fabric, and would need to always wear an undershirt, was the clincher. Disappointed.

I wear mediums, but this medium was far too large, small just right but it had faint splotches below shoulder that looked slighted faded, as if something acidic was splashed on it.

Really love the Henley style for a T, but the material on this shirt is just too thin for my liking. I returned the shirt.

This isn't about the Henley, because I love the Bean's tees. Rather, this is about the overall purchase. Admittedly, I hit the wrong button when I ordered two of the shirts and I began the return process using Bean's return label and paperwork. That was several weeks ago, and I haven't heard a thing regarding the exchange I requested.

Have bought many of their t shirts, short and long sleeved. They have gone to using a lighter weight fabric, they feel cheaper and not worth the premium price Bean charges. Too bad. I loved the heavyweight t shirts they used to sell

I was expecting a nice, thick, well-stitched shirt, nothing special. I found the same quality for $10. I paid $23.

These shirts seem to get thinner and thinner each year. Not impressed with how the quality has changed with LL Bean. Honestly, I've bought a couple nice mens shirts at a local big box store that are much better- and much less.

I usually wear XL shorts but this was much larger than a usual XL. Both longer and wider. Tried to return this and another color I bought and was surprised to see a charge for return shipping. Will donate instead.

The top button came off as soon as the shirt was removed from the package. Not the quality I expect from LL Bean.

I just gave my decade old Henley to GoodWill this afternoon. I hope the new owner appreciates it more than I did.

I bought these in the past and they fit as described for my size. This time they were too long and slightly too broad in the shoulders. It's as though they are actually mislabeled long, tall or whatever fit.

While the construction is sturdy and the color looks good, this shirt fits like when people wear a Hefty bag in a rainstorm. Did anyone from the Design Team or Research and Development even bother to try one on and see how it looks on the human body?

No longer 100% cotton which is why I originally came here. It is discouraging to see L.L. Bean is putting synthetic materials in their clothing. Mainly, I discovered and shopped L.L. Bean because of the selection of cotton, wool, and all natural fiber clothing. It is a sad day and pushes me away from my trusted clothing company.

I've been a customer of LLB for forty years. I love the clothes I have purchased from them over all these years.
The three Henley short sleeve shirts I bought looked very nice and fit me fine when I first got them (about a month ago) I washed them in cold water and dried them on low before wearing them the first time. They looked OK and so I wore them. The second time I washed and dried them their color faded a bit and my shirt was suddenly tight across my shoulders. Disappointing to say the least . John

llbean has diminished the quality of this product. Not the same. I have been purchasing Henley's from llbean for years.

Disappointed that LL now seems to be using the same high density cotton for more of their t-shirt offerings. Seems like 3-4 years ago the Unshrinkable line cotton stopped breathing. With the least amount of exertion, body heat is held in and the sweat accumulates on the INSIDE without wicking to the outside. The outside of the shirt shows no sign of sweat!. After taking the shirt off, bead of sweat are clinging to the inside! This happens on all of the "Carefree Unshrinkable" branded shirts I've purchased in the last two years.

Great fit, comfortable and ok value
Waterproof from sweat, will not absorb sweat or water.
Wind proof, cooling wind does not pass through to cool your body.
I would have returned them except for the return shipping cost.
