The shirts feel nice, but the sizing is off. The larges are too big, and previously purchased mediums are way too small. I did the sizing protocol, but obviously that wasn't accurate.

I was very disappointed with the fit of this Waffle Crew Shirt. The collar opening is huge. It fits terribly around the neck. It being called a "Crew" I was thinking crew neck collar. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with this "Waffle Crew". I would expect more from LL BEAN.

Two years ago, I bought this shirt in black. This shirt is much bigger in the body; when I laid one on top of the other, the new shirt was over 1 inch wider in the body than the old. I'm returning this one, will try the size small

Nice long sleeves, but torso length much too long. I needed to have seamstress cut 6" off bottom and re-hem.

Nice all-cotton fabric. Overall size a good fit (medium for 6' x 172 lbs).
However, the cut and design of the upper arms did not fit. Arm holes are very large, resulting in too much fabric in the upper arms. This also restricts of upper arm upward motion, meaning lifting the arm uncomfortably pulls up the shirt up too much. This is a not minor change from an earlier version of the same shirt. Disappointed, and returned.

Unshrinkable Tees size L has been my Fall and Winter shirt of choice for years. I've lost weight and ordered size M which is a perfect fit .... except the sleeve length is a little two short. The sleeve lenght for size M needs to be about about one half inch longer.

T-shirt length is much too long for current style. Fabric quality and softness are excellent

Wanted a shirt for cooler weather and this shirt was of good quality and would have liked to keep it but it was too long so had to return it.

The shirt was very large, on a very tall, thin fellow. Even at a height of 6'4", The shirt seemed too long and wide. However, that could also be preference.

I ordered my usual size (Large). The shoulders were a good fit, but from there downward the shirt was built for someone with a capacious beer belly. I liked the fabric, so I considered ordering a medium size, but I was afraid I'd get a shirt built for a guy with medium shoulders but still sporting a beer belly. I'll only wear this shirt for gardening in low light.

These shirts feel great, but be warned that "Soft Spruce," which looks like teal in the photo, is much closer to hunter green.

I downgraded the stars because the color of shirts i received were quite a bit darker than what was shown on the website. I bought these shirts for my husband, who is very particular about the colors he wears. The rating reflects only the disappointment as to the colors, not the quality of materials or the fit.

I purchased several long sleeve tees in black and white. They are well made and do not shrink. But the colors do not last and the collars on the white shirts are all wrinkly.
The black has faded over time and the white is not a true white even after bleaching. I am not planning on buying these t-shirts again.

Overall, this is a comfortable shirt. It is a very loose fit, especially in the upper arm and chest. I suppose if you have Popeye biceps and a giant chest, you'll be fine, just be sure to pair that with average to small forearms and a beer belly.

I have purchased a number of these long sleeve t-shirts over the years and I love the shirt although the "unshrinkable" part is not exactly accurate. If sizing is important and you are concerned about the sleeve length, wash it but DO NOT put it in the dryer. Just hang it up to dry. Overall I love these and will continue to buy them, just need to be cautious about the care of the shirt.

I have a half-dozen of these. I love the quality of the material. They're comfortable and last a long time. The trouble is with the collars, which become misshapen after not very long. So although they're durable, they become unsightly and have to be replaced. In my view, they're not up to LL Bean's regular standard of quality. I expect more from $30 t-shirts.

I have dozens of these shirts acquired over many years. Both long and short sleeve. This current model has changed. The material used is of a lesser gauge. It is not as heavy and thick as previous iterations. I have enough older examples with which to compare. It is still a good shirt for casual use. Nevertheless it is no longer the sturdy shirt that had caused me to purchase so many for numerous uses...biking, hiking, climbing and cool weather layering. Until now they were long lasting. Now that is questionable.

It's a nice shirt. I like the color and fabric. But it is significantly over-sized. Traditional fit seems to mean relaxed fit or baggy in modern parlance. However, they are correct in saying it doesn't shrink in the wash (unfortunately, in this case).

Nice but expensive. A lot of their products are over priced and I can find similar products locally for less.

I've always been satisfied with past purchases of Bean's long sleeve T's; about 10 of them. The recent warm gold color T, however, wears huge on me (medium side). It's an over-size box cut. I'm wondering if it was sourced by a different manufacturer. Since it's 100% cotton, I'm washing and drying it several times expecting shrinkage. The material and color are fine.

Nice fabric, but significantly too big, especially too long and sleeves too long. The ad says no shrinking and that made the sale for me.

I have purchased these shirts for a long time. I noticed what I thought was a food spot and was going to put a stain release on it before washing. When I looked closer it was a thin area of fabric not a stain. It looked like a mesh screen. Have never seen this before. I will stop buying these if I see this on other shirts. Also, will post a photo next time.
LL Bean has the fabric weight or material thickness been reduced?
