I am a big Bean fan, but these T-shirts are not comfortable because the neck is too tight.
I also have experienced mystery staining on the shirts that others have mentioned.
For the price, I demand better.

used your tees for 20 yrs. and were great. out of stock in my colors last year and this year but ordered four anyway. Wore them for a month and cant believe how hot and unbreathable they are even after ten washings. Wont be buying any more.

I have been a bean customer for many years and I regret that I am leaving due to the change in quality that bean is undergoing. My t's neck turns to "bacon" in 2 washings - the 2x tall fits like an xl regular, the shirt does not breathe. For the pennies that a good neck tape would cost, that the full cut pattern was ... I do not understand bean giving up their quality! Most of us would, and do, pay a few more dollars for quality. So, regretfully, I will no longer be doing business with you...lots of years and loyal customer gone so that a few pennies can be made.

I bought several of these, and the necks always fray and wear out before the shirt does. If they had improved materials and collars, they would be wonderful. I now purchase another brand, and do not have trouble with the collars wearing prematurely.

I'm not buying any more tshirts. I don't like any of them any more. They are all too thin and stretch material. I bought one of each to see if I could find the kind I used to like. The XLs no longer fit. XL is not XL any more. One washing and they are too tight. I just want the plain old heavy cotton fitting tshirts LL Bean used to make. I see a lot of people writing the same thing and nothing gets done. I speak through my wallet. Sorry.

I can't believe LL Bean stopped making their line of pocket t's that I loved, and replaced it with these "unshrinkable" (read: unbreathable) line.
Poor decision.

These pocket T's don't breath; they can't be 100% cotton. While wearing one, I went into my pool and when I came out the pocket held water for several minutes.
Please investigate the fiber content of these T's.

I put the shirt on and it was like I was in a bag. I placed it up against my older LL Bean tees and found that it had two more inches across the shoulders and four more inches across the chest. I don't know if the old ones shrunk or these were just cut larger, but I returned the items.

"It looks like a Moo-moo," is what my husband said after I washed this t-shirt, hoping it would shrink a little. But it just got tight around the neck, and stayed huge everywhere else. I don't know what has happened to LL Bean sizing, but the larges used to fit my husband perfectly and now they are super wide. Everything seems to be sized wider. We used to love these t-shirts. Not any more. :(

Collars really sag and wear out quickly!
All my collars fray. They used to fit better.
I'm looking for another brand but this material is the best.

As a photographer, I love T-shirts that have pockets to stash filters, notes, etc. This shirt fits great, and the sizing was the most consistent of any shirt I've purchased -- but it DOES NOT BREATHE.
I cannot stress that enough: on a hot summer day, these are miserable shirts. The anti-wrinkle / stain treatment works well only in those capacities, but I find that t-shirts aren't the type of clothing I worry so much about wrinkling: after all, they're not dress shirts.
Because of the excellent fit, I tried the Mountain Town shirt, but be warned, the fit was inconsistent - different on each of my 3 shirts. I did not have that problem with the carefree shirt. The lack of pocket also made the Mountain Town shirt a less than ideal option, plus they are more expensive.
Overall, this shirt was a disappointing. IF it could be purchased without the anti-wrinkle / stain treatment, it would be the best t-shirt in the world; alas, a great shirt they are not. I gave mine to Goodwill, as they are unwearable in the summer, even in the low-humidity of eastern Washington.

I've bought many different items of clothing from LL Bean for years -- including probably more than a dozen of their pocket T's. Unfortunately, the quality of these, and some of their other products, has gone downhill. The last 2 I ordered last week felt like cheap polyester. And the fabric was extremely thin.

Have been buying the pocket t shirt for years. In the past, they have alwyas been very good. Recently you have changed manufacturers. The new pocket t shirts are of very poor quality. They are no better than $4.00 department store t shirts.

Unfortunately, this was sort of a lemon to me because of wrinkles around the neck made by the sewing machine. So I decided to put it on only for home use. A little disappointment, while I've learned I could not expect much out of such rather cheap item even though it's a LLB's product..

The quality of these t-shirts has declined considerably since I first bought them several years ago. The material is thinner, the fit is lousy, and they don't keep their shape like the earlier model. I won't be buying these again.

Fades quickly at most seams; collar separates from rest of shirt. Only option if you want a T-shirt with a pocket.

After one washing the shirt was at least a size LARGER -- and after the third washing it was possibly two sizes LARGER. I have now thrown it away !
