Ordered both short sleeve tee and long sleeve henley. After first wearing, both the collars stretched. Condition gets worse after washing. While the shirt fits and is comfortable, the stretched collars are unsatisfactory. Won't buy these again.

I usually love these Ts. The ones purchased from 2 years ago good except for the collars starting to go - getting stretched out, so in September I ordered new ones. But the new ones arrived with badly wrinkled - very disappointed.

Have been buying these as dependable T shirts for the last 10 years.
Now someone decided to change the fabric and sized. The M is now about 2 1/2 inches longer than older style and slightly wider. Cotton does not feel as comfortable. Unfortunately I will have to now look elsewhere.

These t-shirts are pretty rotten and will never buy again. Whatever cotton or whatever treatment the cotton is given to keep them from shrinking is horrible, The old t-shirts were made from Peruvian cotton, a fine long stranded cotton that weaves well and feels great on the skin. These shirts are thicker, heavier, and feel and ware like a polyester. Avoid these. And, hey, LL Bean bring back the original Peruvian T's.

Normally buy a large tee shirt from others. LLB tee shirt was too large. Not worth paying $6.50 to exchange it. Stuck with it.

Very disappointing product. Fits great and feels good if you do not perspire. However, if you wear this during any kind of strenuous activity, it feels as if you are wearing polyester. Not what I would expect from 100% cotton. Worn and washed several times thinking that there was a coating on the fabric that would come out. No such luck. Would not recommend.

Two years ago, I purchased Cotton T-s from LL Bean and was very happy.
This August, I purchased 3 more T-shirts, and because of back-ordering, got the 3rd one two weeks later. I had stored the first two for fall. When it arrived, I wore it and was very disappointed. Summer time means sweat, and the previous one from 2 years did a great job of 'wicking' the sweat. This new T-shirt didn't. Awful feeling.
So, in checking the details, both T-s were 100-percent cotton. But this one, which I didn't like, was made in Viet Nam. The previous ones were made in China. That apparently was the key.
Who knew we'd applaud "Made in China," but there ya go. I've returned the first 2 T-shirt for a refund.

Whatever treatment makes these shirts carefree and un-shrinkable also makes these shirts impermeable to water vapor. These shirts do not breath. Your sweat will not evaporate and instead will run in rivulets down your body. Indeed, the shirt will remain dry and water repellent while you are about to pass out from profuse water loss. These are the most uncomfortable shirts I have ever worn on a warm day, which ironically is when you might want to wear a T-shirt.

Very good T-shirt with respect to fit, appearance, and wrinkle resistance, but one huge flaw in fabric. Both gray shirts had many knots in the yarn that turned into holes in the shirts after a couple of washes. Obviously some problem with the yarn knitting.
L L Bean should specify no more than one knot per 10 yards if they expect the great product they advertise. My shirts had 10+ knots each.
Not planing to ask for refund, but will probably not order from L L Bean again.

These shirts are amazing for a few months then start to shrink and the neck gets super baggy and the color fades. I really wish this did not happen. When I first got it, I loved it so much I bought 6 of them. Now I regret my purchase. There called unshrinkable but after about 6months my Mediums turned to smalls. I had to starch them out after every wash to even wear them, and the dryer is out of the question. I decided to quit wearing them today, no reason to buy a t-shirt that you have to baby so much. I love LLBean quality on most everything but this t-shirt is a bust. Also I tried for about 20 minutes to upload a few photos but your website will not allow them to load. :(

Do not buy these Tee shirts. They will not absorb any perspiration and you will feel like you are wearing a plastic bag. Usually happy with Bean merchandise, but these items should say in the description they will not absorb water Terrible shirts and absolutely useless in the South or for any physical activity Gave them a 1 star because there is nothing lower

LL Bean treat these cotton T-shirt with something...they are not just plain cotton material. I'm assuming it's to repel dirt , liquids etc so they will stay looking good; but it traps any sweat between your skin & the T-shirt like your wearing a plastic bag. Sure the T-shirt looks good; but it not comfortable & they don't breath. Useless for their intended use...something cool to wear on hot , humid days.

The first order for 3 (White) T-Shirts came in time for Christmas. They hung in the closet until spring. When I washed they looked very very yellow so I called and reordered 3(White) and was going to return the first ones. When the second batch arrived they were as dingy as the first so I sent them all back. I am very disappointed because in the past I had ordered white and they were very very white. Hopefully you can correct this problem I would love to order them again.

If you bought this shirt before and liked it, be forewarned that the cut of the shirt has apparently been changed to make the shirt less roomy.
I bought 2 of these t-shirts in a size Medium Regular a little over a year ago. I love them.
I just bought two more in the same size and the new shirts are slightly smaller through the chest and tummy area. If you lay one of the new t-shirts on top of the old t-shirts there is about an inch less room (i.e. the old shirt sticks out about 1/2" on either side of the new shirt).
The fit of the new shirt is uncomfortably tight. I will wind up paying return postage for the privilege of trying them on and finding out L.L. Bean has changed the shirt in a way that doesn't work for me. That is disappointing.
This is how L.L. Bean teaches me not to buy clothes online.

I've purchased several of these Tees. I am very disappointed in the durability of these shirts.
All of them have soon started to "pleat" around the collar and the fabric starts to fray and have holes.
They wear out much quicker than cheap Tees I buy elsewhere. For the Bean price I'd have expected the opposite.
I will not be buying any more of these.

LL Bean's sizing continues to get more inconsistent. I ordered this in a size M and it fits my friend who is an XL. It is unfortunate because the quality of the fabric was wonderful and soft.

I purchased two of the unshrinkable tee shirts. Both are very uncomfortable around the neck opening. They are too tight in this area. I could not wait to get home and and take them off. Disappointed in this product!

I loved Bean T-Shirts, they were thick, well made, and lasted thru many washing's.
The last batch I ordered were not the same. They were so thin you could see thru thru them even before they were washed the first time. They are now the quality of T-Shirts selling for $10 everywhere.
Bring back the quality shirts!

I used to love these shirts. Then Ll Bean changed the sizing (and I'm guessing the manufacturer). Now the regular sized t-shirts fit like a dress. I'm 5' 8" and both the large and the medium go down to mid-thigh or lower. They fit more like a poncho than a t-shirt. Perhaps more importantly, two of the shirts had holes in the neck along the seams when they arrived, so quality control is lacking. I'm worried the old Ll Bean (that I used to love so much) has gone the way of this t-shirt.

Here's what's great about these shirts: good material, not heavyweight, but not H&M disposable as is so common in most stores now.
Here's what's terrible about these shirts: apparently the no-shrink or moisture wicking treatment results in constriction around the neckline after the first wash. And I don't mean a mere tightening of the fabric. I mean the shirts LOOK THEY HAVE PLEATED NECKLINES.
I bought three of these in the spring. I didn't notice at first on the black and blue shirts. The dark color actually helped hide the pleated lines. But the heather gray shirt looked like a skirt around the collar after the first wash. I tried ironing to no avail.
I finally bought ANOTHER shirt and hoped I had a bum batch with the first. This time, I looked closely when taking it out of the mail wrapper. It looked great. Flat and normal. I washed it, and I have another pleated neck t-shirt.
I love LL Bean products, generally, but these shirts just look silly after being washed. And a quick scan of comments shows it has apparently been a problem for years.

Even repeated washings--which I expected to resolve the problem--has not helped. These shirts do not breathe the way you expect cotton to breathe. It's like wearing a Hefty bag on a hot day. I purchased seven with the expectation they would perform like past L.L. Be a t-shirts I have purchased. But no.

I've shopped at LL Bean since before 1985. I put my arms in the "T" didn't feel wide like other Ts it wasn't wide for a Traditional cut & and IT WASN'T. THE NECK WAS SO TIGHT I FELT LIKE I WAS IN A SHIRT & tie that was TO SMALL. The neck was chocking me, it can't be attracted out. In hot weather I like my Ts loose enough to blow in the wind. Never got out of the house wicking???? I didn't open other one. Their going back. Sorry LL Bean has always fit perfect, even shoes

I am very disappointed with the quality of the clothing I have purchased recently. I purchased two of these expecting a great looking tee for casual wear and working outdoors. I really like the look but they feel like synthetic instead of "100% cotton". Worst of all is coating or fabric which doesn't wick any moisture. I wear tees while workout no outdoors in SC. Feels like I'm in a sauna suit instead of a tee shirt.
