I have a whole drawer full of LL Bean pocket Tee's both long and short sleeve. I really like them except for the collar. Really awful. Check it out. You have other complaints also. PLEASE fix. collar is very poor but I like every other thing about LL Bean pocket Tees. I would recommend to a friend but with a collar warning.

The quality seems lower now than in the past. For example, the neck collar got discolored after ust a couple of washings.

Had purchased these t shirts before and the material on this order seemed a little different in quality. There a little heavier and not as soft as others that I purchased. They also fell a bit larger then the large size I bought previously.

Not a big deal but these tees are not stain resistant. They are comfortable but run a bit big. They also are not wrinkle free after a wash and dry. I wouldn't get another one.

The fabric and manufacturing detail is very good, sizing is at least one size too big. I purchased 3 of these shirts, upon receipt, I threw them in the washing machine and later found them to be way too large. My mistake. Be careful when you order.. Great shirt, sizing is off, will be giving these shirts to co-workers.

These are nice t-shirts, but the cotton doesn't breathe. On a hot day I sweat, and the perspiration is all trapped inside, under the shirt. Things get pretty clammy in there after a short time. My older Bean t-shirts don't have this problem. I washed both the new shirts a couple of times, but the same thing happens. So, bottom line is, I can't recommend buying them, at least not if you perspire.

I have bought other LL Bean tee shirts before, but they were long sleeve, and the fit was perfect. So I bought the short sleeve version, and the fit was extremely big for a medium sized shirt, it was more like an EXLarge, returned ,quality of material was great but sizing was way off.

The shirt overall fits ok. I either received an odd one or design is off. The neck cut out on the tall shirts are no bigger than the standard shirt and makes it uncomfortable to wear.

Originally I purchased size large for my husband because in the past the large fit fine, but now the large runs too large so had to return for medium. Medium is better but still a little large.

Great reviews on this product hide how they actually perform. As another reviewer stated, they are like wearing a plastic bag. They don't breathe, which is not the true nature of cotton. Either the weave or additive on the threads make these shirts insufferable. They feel great to the touch and for the first few minutes you wear them but after that be prepared to sweat sweat sweat.

The quality of materials and comfort of these shirts is unmatched. I have been wearing them for years and they hold up well until I do something stupid and destroy them. And destroying them isn't easy. I was a bit surprised at the three I recently ordered however, because they are significantly larger than the size large in traditional fit that I have gotten in the past. Something is different here. I am still wearing them, as they are not large to the point of comical, but I think if I had it to do over, I would go with a medium in the traditional fit, or maybe get a large in the slim-fit style.

Perfect fit, definitely stain resistant, no fade, no shrink. Good shirt except must be careful when wearing belt buckles, seat belts, etc. anything that could cause friction as tiny holes develop in the shirt. Maybe not the best cotton. Past colors were more to my liking than the newer ones.

This is a well made shirt, probably among the best available. Claims about being carefree are true. However, whatever LL Bean does to the fabric prevents the material from breathing. It is literally like wearing a plastic bag, no kidding. The shirt may be fine for casual wear and cooler temperatures but it is not suitable for exercising or warmer climates where you need the material to breathe for cooling.

I ordered two of these t-shirts in Large Tall. Everything was fine except the difference in length between the two was an incredible 2.75 inches!! Where is the quality control?

Garment is made of nice material, but the fit is all wrong for me. I am a 33" waist, 45" chest and round the biceps, 17". I wear large T shirts from every major brand, and sometimes even XL or XXL from some European brands, but this large T shirt was like wearing a tent. The sleeves were far too long, passing my elbow, the length hit mid thigh, and it was far too wide through the torso. Sending it back.

This t-shirt fits like the old style decades ago. Large fits me fine. With newer ones made I actually take an X-Large. Very unusual. It seems newer t-shirts are "metro" sized. Narrow and skinny like putting on a tube sock over your torso. I return all those. Not this one. Wide, slightly loose, comfortable "working" fit. The only thing I don't like is the material. New "velvet" like cotton that does not breathe. Slightly warm weather or a little work and you are drenched in perspiration. Worse, it starts sticking to your skin all over. Older t-shirts of mine never did this and I tested it in the same conditions. They breathe and actually hold their form and fit better being the "non-velvet" type cotton. LL Bean, please return to the older style cotton used decades ago. I consider t-shirts to be working clothes. You can use these for casual wear or to the bar. Just hope you don't have a flat tire on the way otherwise you'll show up like you took a swim in it. If this were made with the older type cotton used, I would look nowhere else for a t-shirt. The weight or ounce material of it is perfect.

First off, I really like(d) LLBean t-shirts because of cloth quality, and they are not yet those real thin, cotton stretchy t-shirts being sold by many stores today. However, I found that the Tall size t-shirts are a couple of inches too long for my 6 foot frame, and I am thinking about going back to Regular size in the future (but those can get to be too short after about 50 washings which is why I switched to Tall size). The t-shirts do last a long time and keep shape and color. One other minus is that the cloth on the latest t-shirts I bought (and the ones being reviewed now) really holds the sweat so don't expect a good wicking if you sweat a lot. I live in Florida heat and humidity. Other than these 2 minuses, the t shirt colors are true and the fit about the shoulders and neck is good. I will most likely buy again in the future.

Looks good in heather gray, but neck surround is thicker/wider than competition...slimmer is more appealing to me. Fit is not what I wanted...it is a stretch t-shirt. No advertising description describes this as a stretch tee which misleads the purchaser. It is not loose around the waist, it is tight which highlights the belly. For a youth, this is optimum, not for majority of adults in my opinion.
