This jacket is a lot lighter then what you would expect in a 3 season jacket. The warm-up jacket is a much better choice for a 3 season jacket. The arms in this jacket are not insulated at all. And the core insulation is minimally thin at best. It's a nice looking jacket for a cooler summer evening, but not for chilly early spring or for fall.

I received this as a Christmas gift, because I love flight jackets. And I loved this one, the design, the material, very nice....but I'm returning it. I loved it until I saw that TACKEY, ANNOYING "LL Bean" tag right on the front, left breast of the jacket. Flight jackets don't have brand logo's so prominent, on the front of such an iconic jacket. They should have put it in the center/back, behind the neck, because this completely ruins the appearance, style and aesthetics of the jacket. I already shipped it back...lose the tag, and I'll order another one...but I'm not a walking billboard....

Poorly styled even as a bomber jacket. Thin, cheap lining making this at best a single season garment. Returned to UPS pickup within approx 3 hours. Very disappointed at what appears to be a continued departure from LLBEAN's former quality.

For a XL Tall it was closer to a regular large, not even close. Returns are also a problem, over 2 weeks since the item was sent back and no communication or refund. My how far LL Bean has fallen, last order from a once loyal customer.

The jacket is very thin and not well insulated. The picture makes the jacket appear fuller than it is. Not worth the money!

Disappointed in sizing. It is supposed to be a casual, quick grab jacket. It was snug, short in the back and sleeves. I couldn't wear any layers in chilly weather. Love LLBEAN and returned the XL for a XXL. Waiting to try it on. And...my size is a true XL. My other XL clothes fit just fine.

My husband has a jacket from LL Bean he has been wearing for 25 years. I ordered him another and the fit is completely off. He couldn't even get it on. Not sure what's changed within this company but it's not the same quality or reliability it used to be. It's not just this jacket ..he's purchased other items that have had similar issues.

Wish I read other reviews before buying. Most of my husbands xxl from llbean are very roomy. This looked perfect, as the sleeves were nylon lined and body cozy lighter for spring or fall. (Flannel lined sleeves don't work with long sleeves, too hard to get on and off) But this jacket was too small even with just a t-shirt.

I have both styles of warm up jackets, size XL. I was looking for a jacket for cool weather and this would have been perfect except the XL fit like a Medium. Excellent quality, but I cannot believe LL Bean would be this far off with the sizing. I am not confident that the XXL will fit either so instead of exchanging for the larger size, I am going to return it. Dissappointed.

Nice jacket, very well made as usual for LL Bean, however the fit was terrible for 2XLT. Fit was probably like an XL and definitely not tall.

I hate that you have to put your name on all your clothing. May still return items.

I love a jacket that can be worn in 3 seasons and I have one that I purchased from LL Bean a few years ago. Unfortunately, this 3 season jacket is too tight and it doesn't allow room for a light sweater. While I love the look, I have to return it.

Having had a previous bean's jacket for yeas and totally satisfied with it, I was "shocked" at the poor. quality of the new jacket. The fit was fine, the color was fine, but the quality of the material was way below my expectations. The new jacket weighted about half of the old one with cheap material and badly made.A major disappointment, I found a similar problem with slippers I bought some time ago to replace ones I had previously. The company known for its footwear is no longer there. Too bad.
Disappointed,

The size XL jacket received was ridiculously small it might be a Boys XL not for a man. The material felt and smelt weird. Won't buy it again?

Quality is fantastic, however this jacket is made for a younger slimmer person. A very athletic fitted jacket. No extra room to move or twist.

The jacket was attractive and styling and color was very goodbut the sizing was way off. I take a L-Tall in most everything Bean's sells, but this jacket was, at best, equivalent to a medium. I was extremely disappointed. I waited a long time for delivery. I sent it back.

Nice, but not true to the usual LL Bean size I normally wear. Seems to be actually cut a size smaller.

I was surprised, the jacket is cut slimmer than I like. Also, the jacket is not very warm either.

Way too tight in the chest. I ordered an XL but it was still too tight.

Weird. This jacket ran way too small and not just through the midsection. I've owned several Bean jackets and haven't had this problem. Returned and disappointed.

For whatever reason LLBean decided to downsize their sizes - it is not cool. I already returned this jacket as too small. But I have the fleece lined insulated version in same size from several years ago and it fits fine. Don't get it.

I had high expectations for this new product. I was impressed with the styling, but although I ordered in my usual size, I found the jacket much too snug. Unfortunately, I will be returning it for a refund.

I wanted to give this Bomber jacket 3 stars but it's really not justified. I say 'Bomber' but it's (not really) without the typical arm pocket, which it doesn't have.
It's actually just a wind-breaker.
At 5'11 220llbs I'm satisfied with the overall fit of this jacket ... not elated, but satisfied. Probably, because I have longer arms, so that works out with llbean products and me, and this jacket is no different. At the same time, the slight fitting in the middle I could do without.
The quality is noticeably low for llBean, even at the this jacket's price-point. It isn't just "thin" but it's wafer-thin.
Also, the collar is extremely stiff, so if you're looking for the same comfort as I was in the "warmup" jacket, or (at least similar) forget it.
This one also sports very loud llbean logos, on all of it's pocket pull-tabs; as it is with it's chest emblem, which is a bit too much.
It would've been far better to improve the quality of the jacket's materials, and ease-up on the logos as it is with the llBean warmup jacket.
