I remember growing up my grandfather would always dress with a collared shirt to get work done. I thought he was powerful outside, while also humble and dressed well. When I found the utility truck shirt so instantly thought of him. It took me a few years to find this kind of shirt jacket and now that I have it I love it ! It was created for brush removal work with scratchy plants, raking, log chopping, hiking and I can't wait to rock the green color inside come the Christmas season.

Great jacket- not too heavy, not too light. Med Tall was perfect for me (slim 6'3). Been getting a lot of complements ( bought the green color).

Very nice quality. Sleeve and body length good. Agree with another reviewer, fit is snug. Tee-shirt under jacket will work, sweater or sweatshirt will be too tight. Order size larger.

Exactly as I expected, nice flannel chest area, smooth interior arms. Outside is durable and I love the tan color.

It was between this and the Flint & Tinder flannel lined trucker jacket, and after seeing the F&T in person on a friend, I was not a fan of the stiff/waxed outer shell. I found the LLBean version at our local store and after trying it on fell in love, this thing is great! I'm 5'7" about 175(dad bod :) and opted for a M, but could have fit in a small, but with less room for any layering underneath. With Fall and Winter approaching in New England this will be my new go to daily jacket.

I was contemplating on adding a trucker jacket to my wardrobe this fall. I did a bunch of research and narrowed down to this one and the Flint and Tinder waxed trucker jacket. The Flint and Tinder jacket is extremely popular and highly rated, but it comes at a higher price point at $268. I actually ordered both to check them out. Turns out that I like this one better, for the following reasons: 1. Both jackets are lined so they keep me warm and cozy, but the material of this jacket is softer, probably because it's not waxed. I don't know what's the use of the wax other than making the jacket water repellant, but I don't really care for that feature per-se. 2. Both jackets are a bit long on the sleeves for me. The F&T jacket actually is a more tailored fit but it also feels a bit tighter at the armpits for me. 3. Because the F&T jacket is waxed, the merchant recommends that we don't wash the jacket but only do spot cleanings. The ll bean jacket is not waxed so it can be washed and dried by machines. I prefer washing my jacket once in a while. Overall this is a great jacket that's comfortable, warm and stylish. And the price is very reasonable. I've made a few number of other purchases of clothings from llbean, and I'd have to say every time I'm satisfied. Their products are true to the images they present online, are comfortable and durable. Just love them. Keep it up, llbean!

Excellent, well made utility jacket. Fabric is the same long wearing, tough as nails construction as on the signature barn coat. Indestructable. I'm 5'9"", 175 lbs and the size large,regular fits very comfortably. Perfect 3 season jacket here along the coastal mid Atlantic. Layers well and pockets are deep. The only enhancements I can think of would be a bi-swing back, an inner pocket and maybe mole skin lining for the hand pockets, otherwise, a great jacket.

fits perfectly and like an old-time favorite jacket right out of the box. like the best denim jacket you've ever had with just a bit of stretch to the material making it that much more comfortable. lining is nice and warm. doesn't feel bulky at all.

Great jacket. Runs small in the arms. I ordered up a size to account for arms.

Hubby has tried these on in the store, i bought it for a Christmas gift so it is still in the bag till the holiday comes, but when he tried it on at the store he loved it
