Calling this jacket slim fitting is accurate. I typically wear an XL, occasionally if I want to wear a heavy sweater or hoodie underneath, I'll go up to an XXL, this one I bought an XXXL Tall and it fits like an XXL usually does. I've been an XL since 11th grade, and I'm now 46. 6'3" and 225 pounds. The other short falls are: the nylon sleeves. So annoying. The top end jackets all have fully flannel lined sleeves. Also, no inner pocket. Basically it's a cheaply built jacket commanding a premium price. LLBean has clearly gone down in quality, which is disappointing.

Great lightweight jacket. Really like the outer layer, rugged feel. Jacket is constructed very well.

This is my husband's jacket and he loves it and has worn it a lot since we bought. It's light weight and not as heavy as a winter coat.

Got this jacket as a gift and wore it for the first time today. It fit well, was comfortable and looked good. My only complaint is the lack of an interior breast pocket on the left side.

Solid jacket, has a quality feel. It could be warmer but overall keeps you warm and I get a lot of compliments on in it.

Utility Shirt fits and looks great. As always size is dead on as is quality.

Great construction, sturdy. Great with a flannel, sweater or hoodie underneath. Cut is relaxed without being baggy. Great dressed up or down.

I prefer this style of jacket because I don't need a thick layer of protection in cold weather. I found the flannel body lining to be somewhat grabby when I wore a flannel shirt underneath but not so much when I was wearing a dress shirt.Perhaps my initial difficulties had something to do with my 76 YO frame.I am very happy with my purchase.

Well made jacket, great material, easy to layer with fleece and base layer. Good wind shield. Good work jacket.

This was a gift and the recipient is pleased with the fit as well as the flannel lining. Sometimes difficult to get all the boxes checked (fit, fabric, color, style) with one purchase.

I am 78 years old, 5' 10'' and 165 pounds and am not a fan of "modern fit". Size large is an excellent fit for me.The sleeves are too long of course but they always are. This jacket is just what I was looking for and a great value.

I returned the Trucker Jacket because of arthritis in my left thump making it difficult to close the coat. I exchanged for the utility Jacket which has a zipper and the setup up of the snaps is much better for me. The service folks (Stephen, Marganida, and others) who assisted me with sizing and were EXCELLANT to work with and they made the process of exchanging very easy. The coat is comfortable and warm and as always with Bean products excellent quality. My closet is full of bean cloths and footwear. My Grandfather helped me up and down the "creaky" stairs and often told me if I didn't behave, he would put me in the rope controlled wooden box and send me upstairs and I would have to walk down the "creaky" stairs alone, yikes - I always behaved !

I am very pleased with how warm this is. For me, its comfort range is about 45 degrees to 65 degrees, so its a great jacket for early Spring. It's very good at blocking the wind. It fits nicely, looks good, and appears to be quite rugged, (though only time will tell.) I washed it once when I got it and it came out fine.
