This is perfect for college students walking between classes. It is warm but not too hot or bulky in class.

While I often wait for deals on clothing before buying, my enthusiasm over Bean's Sweater Fleece Vest led me to an immediate purchase after I tried it on at a local 'Beanery'. In the ensuing weeks I've been wearing it (almost daily as a dependable staple of my retirement ensemble), I've been impressed with how well-made the vest is. What first drew me to it was the outer shell's 'sweater' weave, which feels rugged and looks attractive and original. The inner side is lined with a more traditional fleece that has not shed nor pilled, and which has kept me toasty on those cool Vermont mornings. The seams are expertly stitched and attractively integrated into the vest's design. An inner flap runs the length of the rugged zipper, whose purpose might be to increase wind-proofing. It's a very classy addition, and is hemmed with a spandex-type material that runs both the length of this flap and the collar. When I zip up the vest, the high, stiff collar provides ample protection from the wind. The hem on the bottom of the vest has some elastic in it, which helps retain warmth. The back of the vest curves low and doesn't ride up when I sit or squat as other tops might. The zippered side pockets are 'handily' located and felt-lined for added warmth. I have appreciated how each one forms an additional inner pocket against the inner fleece shella great place for tissues or anything else you don't want to risk pulling out of the outer pockets when you remove your hands from them. The vest also sports a zippered, felt-lined chest pocket. A final note on fit: I am 6'-2" and very slim. I felt the Tall hung too low, and the medium (the size I normally wear in shirts and jackets) was a bit baggy. The Regular Small fits me perfectly.

Love this vest! It is warm and comfortable. I use it everyday since receiving it. The vest keeps the chill off of my shoulders and neck. It is well made witj plenty of pockets for eyeglasses, keys and cellphone.

My husband loves the new Sweater Fleece Vest. The collar is a nice height and doesn't poke his chin. It looks great with his new Bean Shirt too! It can be worn with jeans or Dressier pants. It is cozy and warm. Really works to dress up an outfit or to keep you comfortably warm.

This is my husband's second fleece vest from LL Bean. He likes them both and wears one every day with flannel shirts in the winter. They wash and wear well. The new color shadow green is nice.

The vest is a perfect M fit , warm plus the overall look permits me to wear it going out for a dinner, not just in the backyard raking leaves

Last month LL Bean opened up a store in Mechanicsburg, PA - as a result I went on a shopping spree. The Men's Sweater Fleece Vest is one of the items that I purchased. Excellent quality and with the fleece lining it is really warm on these early Fall days. I have worn it to some casual get togethers with friends and received a number of compliments on the quality of the garment and the addition of the fleece ling.

the sweater vest is very nice quality and the fit is just right however it did take 2 times to get the right product. I did return the original vest to the store and the sales clerk was very helpful and his customer service skills were exceptional
