First time wearing this and I was extremely disappointed with the 'water resistance'.
While I understand its not meant as a rain jacket, even a drizzle was breaking through the shell.
Great look as an outershell, but DO NOT expect to use in any type of rainy environment. Besides that, fits well and is true to images.

I loved it when I first received it, It fit perfectly. I washed it in cold water and hung it up to dry and the sleeve length shrunk.

I was expecting a full on, somewhat full body jacket. This is not what I was needing. It looks like a jacket but the material and thickness is extremely thin.

I bought this last year and have had few occasions to wear it. I wore it the first time and each time there after it leaked after minimal drizzle. I walk a dog and today in the last 10 minutes of the walk. It rained a bit in my arms, back and head got wet within less than 10 minutes. It is lightweight and not hot in rain in summer, but it is useless to repel rain. Or really even sprinkles.

This is the size I have used for years, and it was too small in every way. I should add that my own dimensions haven't changed.

Please bring back the original anorak. This version is very thin and runs small (at least 2 sizes). Not Bean quality, in my opinion. It was returned

I hoped to replace my aging Kelty that is nearly identical in style. My genuine and classic Kelty (XL) is roomy as an outer layer must be. Sadly the designer who made this "slightly fitted" not-classic knockoff does not understand layering. Unlike my Kelty, this anorak, even when a full size larger (XXL), does not fit over normal winter layers (pile and down sweater). I continue to use the old Kelty that was designed by outdoors people for outdoors people. The trend at Bean's seems to be to design for urban fashion not outdoor function.

I returned my order because the stomach area pocket/pouch was was crooked (manufacturing defect). Was not the quality I expected from LLBean.

Decent enough design, sleeve cuffs a little on the cheap side but the basic design was exactly what I wanted. That said, the anorak was WAY TOO SMALL. I have worn XXL Tall outerwear from LL Bean for years. Even considering the tailored fit, it still needs to fit across my shoulders and this doesn't. Probably no better than a Large in the LL Bean classic sizing. I'll need to look to another company.

I bought this for my son to use on a trip, and I used the online chat feature specifically to ask about the chest measurements to figure out which size to get so he could layer it over a fleece. The customer service rep insisted that the medium would be plenty big based on his size and layering needs, which we talked about in detail. It wasn't! Not even close. With a fleece underneath, the size medium anorak was super restricting, even on a really lean body. It was also quite short, especially in the back for some reason, so I guess a medium height person should buy a Tall. We didn't have time to exchange it before the trip, unfortunately, but it will be returned. This is otherwise a really nice item, but LL Bean needs to seriously adjust the sizing description of it.

I loved the look of this anorak as soon as I saw it. I ended up driving back to LLBean just to buy this jacket after buying some rain boots earlier in the day. When I tried to wear it, it just felt so flimsy and weak I knew it wouldn't last at all so I took it back the next day. The strings are super thin, the elastic waist sinch wouldn't last a season and the "leather" hood pulls were awful material. Glad its out of my closet.

While the jacket looks ok, it is paper thin. It will not keep you warm. . . at all. On top of that, it does not keep the rain out. . . at all. So what is the purpose of this jacket? Like most of L.L. Bean product nowadays, it's just cheap and not worth the money.

This garment is nothing close to the original. The cloth is very thin and flimsy. I wore this on a hike yesterday and it barely kept out the wind, the sleeves are too short and ride up while wearing a backpack, the elastic waist and cuffs are cheaply made and cannot be tightened to keep out the wind. I was expecting a technical fabric replacement of the original rugged canvas style top, this is at best a spring/summer weight "Breeze" stopper that doesn't justify the space it takes in a backpack, don't waste your cash.

was hoping this product was like the one I had about 10 years ago which was actually lined and had some substance to it. this is very light and practically see through I will be returning immediately and advise others that this is a very cheaply made item.

Cheaply made copy of past anoraks from Beans at the same price as the real McCoy! I would not recommend buying this particular version if you have had one in the past. You will be disappointed with it. No inside waist pull so the anorak will just hang off of you. Material is so thin and doesn't look as though it will stand up to the outdoors. Glad I still have my older models to wear, just wanted a Black one.
