Well designed socks- really like the ankle height and wide band for comfort!

Disappointed in size. Fits rather sloppy, like a tube sock.

I wear a size 7, ordered the medium according to the size chart and they were an inch too long on my foot. Otherwise, it is a lovely sock and beautiful color.

I ordered my size. I wear a woman's size 7 shoe. They were huge. I double checked the size on the label. I gave them to my brother. They fit his size 13 feet perfectly. The quality was okay. I expected much better at that price. I'll stick with Smartwool brand.

Quality of socks material and Mfg. is great, what needs to be improved is your sizing they run small.

Socks are OK but I don't know that I will order them again. Very snug around the ankle at the top of the sock.

Good cushioning but a loose fit around the ankle. I ordered the same size (Large) I've been ordering for socks for 40 years, other brands are not this loose around the ankles. The fit for the foot itself is fine, but bags around the ankle even brand new.

Bought by mistake. Really wanted medium weight. Little if any padding or compression around instep. Felt like my foot was swimming in the sock. Purchased M.

I wear a size 7.5 dress shoe. I bought a medium, which is supposed to fit women's size 6-10. These socks are huge. If you buy, I recommend you go a size smaller that what they indicate.

Unfortunately, these socks are way too big for me. I have already washed and worn them so won't be able to return them. The quality is good though.

Not what I thought is was according to the description. Very thin light weigh sock. Would not recommend

The size chart says they fit size 6-9 ladies (med). I wear 7 1/2 - 8 size shoe. They were too large. The heel comes up to my ankle if I pull them up snugly. If not, then there is bulkiness in the shoe. The small size would probably have fit better. Washed one pair they didn't shrink enough. LLBean took them back with their 100% guarantee policy.

Bought several pair some time ago and just bought two more pair. 1st purchase (L) were too small and then the (XL) purchased were too small so returned both purchases

I'm a women's size 8 and the medium unisex sock was way too big for my foot. Otherwise, good quality.

Socks are very comfortable and just the right weight. However, after only wearing them a few times I noticed several locations where the stitching has started to pull and unravel.

Owned for 9 months and they wore out with a hole. Not like I wore them every day. Just not great quality.

I bought these back in Dec 2025-actually bought 4 different pairs/all different colors. Already returned 2 pair due to the heels breaking down/holes in the them. Now this pair-and other pair I have same thing-holes in the heels/no small holes/larger ones. Didnt last-wore maybe twice weekly. (less when I had all I had all 4 pair)

I purchased these for Christmas which was 2 weeks ago. One pair was for my husband who has small ankles and the band seems stretched out. The socks are fuzzy after being washed and look like they are several years old. I am embarrassed that I had also purchased a pair for a nephew that had frostbite on both feet.

these are not great, very loose fit and not soft. Even after being washed they are not form fitting socks and move around too much when worn, I could see these giving me blisters because they don't stay in place. I wear a medium in other socks (Fits, Stance, Balega) and they fit me snugly, these do not. I also find that they are not as soft as other socks I've worn. I would not get these again, and I would return but it costs me half the price in return shipping.

I bought a number of lilac color, wore out too soon. The grey color ordered several years prior, just keep going and going.

they may be sized correctly for the Chinese but even the xlarge did not fit my size 11 foot...

These were not up to LL Bean standards. Even though I purchased my size (small) they were big & baggy. Would not recommend

I ordered three pairs of these lightweight quarter socks in XL sizing. LL Bean characterizes XL (extra large) as fitting sizes 13-15. I wear a size 13 shoe and these "extra large" socks were far too short straight out of the bag. I washed one pair inside-out, in cold water, and dried on ultra low heat. The result is a sock short to the point of being entirely unwearable. These socks might honestly qualify as Large but never as Extra Large. Adding insult to injury, LL Bean expects me to pay for the return shipping of their incorrectly sized product!

I have purchased these Cresta lightweight hiking socks for years. At one time, they were one of the best hiking socks made. This new version is very disappointing. Previously, these socks had a nice bottom cushion. The new version is both thin and too small (even the XL). I do not know if Bean has changed vendors or specifications, but these socks are not "Bean quality."
