They do not feel like what you think of when you hear "wool socks". They are soft and very lightweight. They are probably the most comfortable pair I own and I own a lot of other LLBean socks.

Have only worn & washed once. Wore inside bicycling shoes, so too soon to know how these socks will feel on a hike. Knit seems lose.

I have not worn them for hiking yet, but have gone walking around the neighborhood and worn them to a ballgame. They are thick and soft and will keep your feet warm (which I particularly noticed on a hot May afternoon, LOL). Also, they don't slide around or bunch up inside the shoe.

I don't know about these. I'm not sold on the ankle length relative to their thickness. I got them for hiking with my trail sneakers, and maybe I'll prefer them in colder weather (though then I prefer a taller sock), or with different footwear, but for now in the spring going into summer I'm not sure they're the right choice for me, and I returned a second pair. They seem like good quality though, so this is all just based on personal preference.

They are cozy and warm. Fits good with shoes. To lose by them self. Next time order smaller.

Quality has gone down since the last pair I bought in 2022. They are thinner now. Still a good sock, just not as good as they were.

They are not winter socks for I had to wear ankle socks as the 1st layer. They are comfortable in side a warm house. I am pleased with my purchase.

I needed another pair of quarter-crew socks to come just at/above my ankles. I wanted something comfortable, plush and warm and thankfully these are it. I can imagine hiking in these all day without any issues. They're warm and if paired with proper shoes should be able to get you through some significantly colder temps. They fit a little large/long which isn't enough to influence my like of them too much but I really would like to have tried a size down which I normally don't have to consider. On my second wearing of them I mulled over whether or not I need to send them back or if I could make due and decided to keep them. There's a part of me each time though that would have liked to have gotten the size down just to really see which is better. I wear a 10.5 or 11 in shoes which usually equates to a Large when it comes to socks.

Material thinner than expected. Not much cushion or instep support. I will keep them for everyday, but wouldn't carry them on a long hike.

I have purchased these socks for years for hiking, running and daily use. They offer excellent cushioning, breathability and warmth. The newer quarter crew socks seem a bit looser around the ankle but definitely have improved construction so as not to wear at the heel as the previous version did. They do tend to pill on the top after multiple uses but not a deal breaker. I've tried other socks for outdoor pursuits and keep coming back to the tried-and-true Cresta both in full and quarter length for my outdoor endeavors.

Got this for fall and spring weather hiking. Used it once and was comfortable. Will try it in warmer weather to see if it works. Quality is reasonable for the price.

Warm but way too big. I ordered correct size and were on back order, so using them around the house and for sleeping. I wear size 9 women and ordered medium.

Unisex sizing is a challenge. They are always to larger for women.

Medium size ordered and they were too large. Sizing not uniform. It's a gamble what you get.
