Used to walk around during cold days and snowboarding over 6 hours a day. I was warm all the time! The bottom doesn't seems to be as soft as base crew, I experienced some itching during wear. I'm 5.6 athletic hourglass and M fits great. I really like seeing and fit: no worn out knee area at all. Bravo. I give 4 star just because knee area doesn't fit properly ( loot at the pic) and I'm only 5'6. If tall version will be released I'll be the first customer. Another huge minis for me is the match of white inside layer, white wool hair break through black and looks like I didn't clean cats hair off. Looks dirty. Probably I should pick other colour and over all amazing fit/quality/price. Can compare to x bionic. Highly recommend!

I bought these for a trip to Iceland in February. They are comfortable and warm, being the most important two things. I thought since these were intraknit they would fit better to your legs so they would be smooth underneath my other layer but they are kind of loose. I wore them under a horseback riding winter jumpsuit, under fleece lined hiking pants and sometimes around the property under a puffy skirt. I would recommend them with the caveat that if you are looking for a fitted layer, I wouldn't, but just for warmth yes. These are not like the previous smartwool pants I purchased which were more like activewear leggings

I am a medium through and through and this medium was wonky. The waistband has very little elasticity so I had to return. The rest fit fine. Just too tight. May order a size up?

I won't spend the extra money again. The "articulated knee" sits above the knee. And it's not just me, review photos and photos on resale sites all show this.

The fit is phenomenal for anyone outside of an"off the shelf" size. The stretch allows a fit you'd forget you're wearing. However they're so delicate anything causing friction leaves them battered. (boots, velcro or zips)

The mid rise was quite low. They are totally see through, so I had to wear pants over them. Also did not find them any warmer than regular leggings. Really disappointed and now can't return.

too tight. I have bought one pair online and one pair in the store for my daughter in our regular sizes. Both were too small- felt like a girdle everywhere it touched our bodies.

I wore them once skiing and the next time I put them on there was a hole in the fabric. Not in th seem. Return policy has to have the original packaging and since they fit perfect I threw it away. I will have to patch them myself but I won't be buying any more from Smartwool.

I rarely write reviews, but this is the most disappointing purchase I've ever made. Tons of holes after only a few wears. Completely unusable after less than 20 wears, I took meticulous care and followed all the washing instructions.
I saved up for awhile to buy good base layers for snowboarding, and I wish I Could go back in time a buy a different brand.
I did submit a request for a refund, but they only gave me store credit. Better than nothing, but if the next pair is as bad as my first, they will only last a few wears.

Very disappointed. A hole occurred the first time I wore these. I sewed it up but the material is very thin and airy in the area it occurred so the hike keeps getting bigger .
