Purchased this as a base layer for skiing. I haven't tested them in the snow or on the mountain yet. I tried it on and it fits snug, feels great and love the design and sporty hi-tech look. I can't wait to try them on my first ski trip for this season, at the end of December. I'm 5' 10"; 165 lbs., ordered a women's large and it fits perfect. Very snug and form fitting which is what I wanted for a ski base layer. #sweepstakes

I have several of these. They are warm layered under ski/snowboard pants even in cold conditions.
I like the fit better than the other not intraknit base layers.
I am short 5'0" so the length is long, but I roll them up. I also like the higher, wider waist band.

These base layers are fantastic! Great compression, super soft fabric, really warm, breathable and quick-drying. I live in the mountains and work at a ski resort so I wear base layers at least half the week. I tend to run warm so these are the bottoms I go to when the temps drop but I'm skiing hard or when I'll be outside all day but not actually moving around a lot (like standing on the side of a racecourse or terrain park event on a mild temp day). I have skinny legs but not much of a waist so I was pleasantly surprised at the stretch in the waistband that keeps them comfortable on top, while the legs are nice and snug so they provide good compression and don't bunch up. Plus, they look cute under an insulated skirt when it's time to shed the ski pants!

I'm a ski instructor and wear this one of these everyday! It helps me stay warm and dry, even on the sweatier days. It's the first wool product I've owned that fits athletically and doesn't stretch out by the end of the day. No saggy butt here. #sweepstakes

I bought these base layer bottoms for my fiance likes to go outside in the winter time but has a hard time staying warm. The garment is well made, is true to size, and is warm but breathable. She likes it and fits well under snow pants and jeans and absolutely loves them.

They fit great and were warm under ski pants for many activities in minus degree temperatures.

I absolutely love these and plan to order 2 more pairs. They are the most comfortable and least constrictive thermals I've ever worn! #sweepstakes

This is a great base layer that is also attractive when all the top layers come off. Very comfortable & perfectly warm, I'm only sorry it took me this long to buy them!
My only warning is that the sizing runs a bit small. I'm 5'4, 117 lbs. Using the fit guide, I ordered an XS and it was too tight under the arms and I couldn't even get the pants over my hips! The small fits perfectly.

I absolutely love the Intraknit leggings -- the only caveat is that it does tend to rip easily. I ripped my first pair while pulling them on in a rush -- something my other leggings can survive. It seems if I apply acute pressure with one or two fingers to hook the leggings and pull them up, there's a good chance of ripping. I have so far ripped two pairs the same way; I'm treating the next ones very delicately.

I like the design. Thickness for Antarctica but not bulky to wear under snow pants. Comfortable without compressing me. I think it will work for me.

I'm reviewing these for sizing alone. I am 98 lbs, 5'2" and size 23/0-00/XS-XXS jeans/pants/leggings. I'm baffled by others' comments on the sizing as I found these to run EXTREMELY small - I couldn't even pull the size XS over my thighs! They looked comfy and warm, so hopefully the S will work out for me and won't be too long, but I would definitely size up.

I am a medium through and through and this medium was wonky. The waistband has very little elasticity so I had to return. The rest fit fine. Just too tight. May order a size up?

I live in western NY between several lakes where it gets very cold. All my life I've used wool u til I discovered smartwool. Now my days of cold winters are warm winters and I'm 52. Get your smartwool and forget cold exists. Yay me!!

I bought these for a backpacking trip to Haleakala crater in Maui, where temps could range from 30-70F with high sun exposure. I wanted something light, breathable, warm, comfortable, sunburn proof, and ...also cool? It was an almost impossible list of demands on a single item of clothing but somehow these delivered. When temps were cold, these were warm. When it was warm, these let in air and helped keep me cool. They felt a little itchy when I first put them on but aftera few minutes that went away and it was only, nice, comfortable warmth. I'm 5'2" so they bunch some at the bottom like all do, but not so much that it caused a problem with my socks. The waist is smaller than some leggings I have and might dig in for some women, but worked great for me, and helped keep these babies up. I love these things. I only wish Smartwool had the matching top in navy. Maybe that's coming or just temporarily sold out.

I ordered the same size that fit great in the classic thermal and the waist line was too tight and uncomfortable with these. I liked them but had to send them back to get a size larger. If your border line I would definitely size up on the Intraknit.

Fantastic fit and comfort. Soft, stretchy, nice waistband and just the right thickness. Still feel warm and comfortable even when my ski pants leak! I'm 5'6", 138 pounds and purchased the medium.

too tight. I have bought one pair online and one pair in the store for my daughter in our regular sizes. Both were too small- felt like a girdle everywhere it touched our bodies.
