I will use this product as a base layer when downhill skiing and as a base layer when out snowmobiling.

I was thrilled when I received my new Women's Intraknit Merino Thermal Leggings. The quality and comfort are unbelievably wonderful. They fit perfectly, true to size and look great!!!

These are such a great base layer for cold winter runs and skiing. Thus is the second generation of these pants that I bought and the newer ones are even more upgraded for extra durability and comfort.

These leggings are amazing. And so warm! I spend a ton of time outdoors in the winter in all weather conditions. These are definitely the warmest base layer that I own. They are nice and thick and look more leggings than a base layer. I wish they had one thigh pocket for a phone though! The wide waist band does give me some muffin top and also rolls on me , but not enough that it annoys me under my ski gear. They are super stretchy, dominate between sizes, you probably want to size down. Love these and will probably order a second pair!

Great leggings! I was looking for thermals that could be worn after skiing on their own without risk of sheerness. I am 5'6'', 135-140lb and I got a M, however I'm thinking a S would fit better as these are quite stretchy! The sizing tool using other brands spit out both M and S and I opted for M. Next time I would get a S!

Got these for my wife to use while we go skiing. She loves the warmth and the feel of the material. These are her new favorite leggings.

I purchased these leggings for a December trip to NYC. Will be outdoors a lot, day and night. They are heavy and definitely suited as outerwear. However, I purchased a M based on other reviews, and really could have used a small. I am 5' 5", 118 lbs, and these are not even close to being snug. I am keeping them because shipping was pretty slow, and I don't have time to replace.

Ordered these for the cooler biking months (above -10 degrees Celcius). Ordered a size up so that mt cycling shorts fit underneath - glad I did.
These are lightweight, soft and long. Love that they are just the perfect thickness to keep my legs warm while I bike to work and back. Will probably use this winter for nature walks.

I use these for walking the dog daily regardless of weather. They are great. Warm in near zero weather. I also sprint at times and they provide a decent amount of support.

At last, a heavier weight will legging that can be worn for any occasion. These will be my go to for all cold weather, either on the street alone or under pants in frigid weather. Thank you Smartwool, please keep making these!

These are THE base layer leggings. They have the stink proof + water wicking properties of wool, without the itch or lack of stretch common with almost all other wool base layers. I hope they never stop making them!!

These stay put during my runs, keep me warm, but are also breathable. I'll be buying a second pair next winter to have in rotation.

These are the most versatile pants and the only ones I want to wear most days in the winter. They are heavy enough and wide enough at the ankle that they can pass for skinny pants rather than leggings, and I dress them up for work travel. The bandless high waist is comfortable and flattering (I have a big belly and it stays sleek). They never get smelly, they don't hold routine sweaty dampness, they repel spills quite well, and they are just the perfect black pants for comfort during all occasions. I find them too thick to work as a layer under other regular pants, so these are outerwear not a base layer for me. I have hand washed them in hotels and while they're not super quick to dry, they can manage to dry overnight in a well ventilated space. My first pair lasted through about 1.5 winters of heavy use before the thighs wore through. I think the price point is high for something that's only 36% merino, but they are just such uniquely perfect pants that I will keep buying them. About to order pair #3.

I just got to use my WOMEN'S INTRAKNIT MERINO THERMAL LEGGINGS for a weekend ski trip and I can say without a doubt I'm happy with my purchase. These fit like a glove, but we're still relaxed enough for my two other layers underneath.I was warm in one degree weather and I had no problem washing in cold water on the delicate cycle and hanging to dry.

Wow, I bought these thinking they would be great as a base layer for snowboarding, but after putting them on it, it turns out they're the long missing piece of my wardrobe. These are the perfect daily leggings, they're warm thanks to the thickness of the fabric and the cut is SO flattering. If you're looking for warm everyday winter leggings, try these out.

Absolutely love these leggings! Wore them under my jeans to a late night football game in negative degree weather and my legs never once got cold. They're super soft and the waistband has a little tummy control also for a smooth fit highly recommended

This is easily one of my new favorite leggings for winter. They are thick enough to keep the chill at bay without added bulk like most winter or fleece lined leggings. The high waist is both flattering and comfortable, with just enough compression to smooth the area without being uncomfortably tight. As a bigger girl I appreciate waistbands that stay put and don't fold, fall down, or bunch, I had none of these issues with this legging. In fact, the only issue I found is, as a pet owner, the material snags very easily, especially with dog/cat claws. This aside, I highly recommend these for daily cold weather and athletic use! #SmartwoolLove

I have never fallen in love with a pair of pants until I put these on. I couldn't believe how soft and comfortable the were from the moment I stepped into them. The high waist with the thick band was not tight or binding and held the leggings in place. I ended up wearing them the entire weekend. These work with just about anything you pair them with and can go a little dressy to casual. The only complaint I have is that they snag very easily (had 2 after the first day). I do have cats so that's probably how it happened. I was able to use a needle and pull the treads to the inside so you can't even tell they were ever snagged. #Smartwoollove

I received these and immediately put them on! They are thicker than other leggings I own, but I have worn them around the house with a long top or sweater dress. They are very cozy, not too hot and super comfortable! I love them. I have not seen any pulling as others have, but will watch for it after washing. I do love these and hope other colors are coming! #SmartwoolLove

If you're looking for a versatile legging this is it! I've worn it out at night during a Christkindlmarket and didn't feel cold at all. It's soft, not too thick or thin, and has a nice fit. I especially like the high waist band on this legging. I've also been using this for my trail runs, and they work great as well! The lowest temperature I've been running in so far is 19F/7.2C. During this run I didn't feel cold and or hot. Awesome product smartwool! #SmartwoolLove

Super comfy and warm, and doesn't show panty lines!! Also feel thicker and more durable. Does have a tendency to attract pet hair. #SMARTWOOLLOVE
