Great jacket but bad zipper pull it would have been perfect but that was a big mistake what ever country put that main zipper pull on.. also sleeves were a little long.

The sleeves are too narrow. You cannot fit a sweater under the jacket. I also tried the extra large and had the same issue. Loved the look but the fit was not good.

The jacket was well made and has nice details that I like. It fits on the whole and I can wear a base layer inside without problem. I gave it 3 stars for 3 reasons. First, the jacket was kind of stiff and boxy, thus not as flattering as I had hoped. Hopefully, it will soften after a few washes. Second, although the jacket feels roomy as a whole, it is a little tight across the chest even on a skinny frame. The last annoyance has to do with the style. If you wear it unzipped, it will not look symmetrical because of the flap.

It's okay. I considered returning it but kept it because it's useful. But the jacket is neither stylish nor very good looking.

I love this jacket but it just doesn't fit correctly. I'm an XL and it fits in most places except it is too tight in the arms and across the back. I am sooooo disappointed. Please consider making this jacket in a 1x

The zipper is extremely hard to start to zip up. I had two people try it and they found it difficult too thats why I rated it average and and would hesitate to recommend it to someone otherwise I do like it even if I dont unzip it all the way down and I have step out of it.

It's too bad this didn't fit because the construction and materials were really nice! The stitching looked great. The color was perfect. But the size didn't work - too small in the hips and the arms were way too long. The shoulders were fitted and likely would have been constricting.

This is a nice jacket, if expensive for how light it is. I ordered a Medium, my usual size, and there's no way I could wear it over a sweater or anything other than a light layer. It was tight across the back and uncomfortable. I sent it back for a Large, which I hope is a better fit. If you plan to wear it with typical fall clothing, I'd order up a size.

I so wanted this jacket that I re-ordered it in the X-small petite because the sleeves would be about an inch shorter. The small petite is what I always order, but the sleeves on this particular jacket in that size were 1 1/2 inches too long. The X-small fit just perfect in the sleeve length; but alas it pulled across the shoulders! So I'm having to return it. Of course, there was still the issue of the two-way zipper which I wrote about in my review of the small petite jacket. No way could I get it zipped back up to return; I had to just use the snaps. I would have been tempted to keep the second jacket if it had not been too small across the shoulder area, and just by-pass the zipper! I wish that LL Bean would bring back the Quilted Puff Jacket they offered about 4 years ago. It was nylon, shorter, more for warmer weather with color-matched snaps. No Zipper! I still need a cream jacket!!!!!! Elaine

I find this jacket to not meet expectations. It should be nice and warm - at least according to the way I read the write-up, but it is not warm and wind blows right through. I am disappointed.

I wear a large at most all other companies so I assumed by buying a large here that it would be even bigger in order to layer, but boy was I wrong - this jacket pulled at my armpits more than any other jacket. I'm not even sure getting an XL would've allowed me to layer. The actual jacket itself felt nice, a little thin, but probably very very warm in cold weather so if the fit is right for you i would recommend it in that regard.

I am 5'3" and ordered size XL-Petite. I have to return this jacket because the sleeves are too long. The sleeves end at the tips of my thumbs and pinky fingers. The coat fits well and looks good otherwise. It is true to size, though not roomy. I am an apple-shape and although the jacket fits me, it seems better suited for a pear-shape figure. I like that the lining is not flannel as it makes it easier to put on and remove the jacket. If not for the sleeves I would have kept it.

I ordered the coat in size small- petite. The coat is really comfortable, lightweight, warm & weathers the fall season in New England very well. I use the snaps to keep it closed, the zipper is of terrible quality.

Loved this coat when I got it. Perfect length to upper thigh. Not too think or thin...lighter for above 40 temps. Neither I or my husband could zip it up. We tried for over 5 minutes than gave up. Who wants a coat that will not zip or takes such effort? The zipper is in 2 parts. At bottom where you enter the one side into the zipper it gets stuck and wouldn't move upward, as if there was fabric in its way. Think it's how the zipper was fashioned. Returning with much sadness. May try another attempt but this issue seems so common. I agree with others that an interior pocket would have make this coat better. LLBean, please fix this zipper issue! It's a fatal flaw. Coats must be able to close easily and quickly to be functional. There are snaps which will close the jacket, but who wants to buy a new coat that doesn't work correctly from the start?

I wear a size 12 and the Large fit great. It has adjustable tabs at the waist so I was able to bring it in a little for a nicer silhouette. The color says "Navy" but it is really a dark navy. it's funny because I ordered the "Deep Navy" rain hat thinking it would go with it and the "Deep Navy" hat is marine blue and this jacket is "Navy" and is really "Deep Navy almost black". LL Bean should get their story straight on describing colors. The plaid lining is predominately army green and navy. Not very attractive or feminine. They could do a better job of selecting colors.I'm thinking of returning it because the lining is really ugly. It's a lot of money for a jacket that doesn't bring me joy! (as Marie Kondo says) Nice jacket on the outside and I like the idea of Thinsulate but haven't tried it in cold weather yet.

The coat is attractive and just the right weight/thickness, but I had two major problems with it. First, the sleeves are too long. I have other LL Bean coats that fit me fine (medium), but never have experienced long sleeves before. You can roll them, but why should you have to? Second, the quality is poor. I wore it twice before the zipper got stuck and I had to lift the coat over my head to get it off. Is it me or does the quality of LL Bean products keep going down hill? It's not worth it, especially if they keep the prices high.

This jacket is pretty and a nice light weight but was too tight across the shoulders to allow for easy movement. I'll reorder in large when they get colors back in stock.

The jacket is beautiful but it fits very small over the chest and back area. I always buy size large for other L.L.Bean products without issues. The jacket is not for cooler weather. It is more for a late spring or fall day. The lining is thin of jersey-like fabric over the quilted outer fabric. It is light weight and not enough room to layer with thicker clothes under unless you size up. I had to return it.

The jacket is much more fitted and shorter than i expected - especially from some other comments - so it is unsuitable for wearing over a somewhat thick sweater. The style is dated too. I will be returning it.

Although I like the style of the jacket, the fit is too tight for an extra large. Also the sleeves are too long and are not finished in an attractive way. I have other extra large garments that are not that tight. I continue to wear it because it is warm and light weight, but I would prefer a better fit and finish on the sleeves.

I have always been satisfied with LL Bean's products, with their long history of exceptional products and service, however, this jacket was a disappointment as the zipper is very hard to zip. It takes me way too long to zip it up and is certainly a problem. I have a tendency not to wear it.

I was disappointed by the thinness of this jacket. I expected it to be more substantial so it could be worn in colder temperatures. The fit and style were satisfactory and the overall construction quality was good but it will need to be worn with layers underneath in winter.

Even though the description said it was warm to 35 degrees, I stepped outside in the mid 40's and it was not warm enough. I had on a medium weight sweater, as it ran a little too small to put anything heavier on underneath.

I wanted to love this jacket. I have been looking for a perfect quilted jacket but this also was not it. I ordered navy and the color was drab on me. Maybe someone with brighter complexion might work. Overall the fit was just blah. At this point in my life, I have to love it to keep it. The most astounding thing was that LL Bean did not refund me back, but sent me a store credit. I do not understand why and I am taken a back by this.
