I bought this 3 weeks ago because I fell in love with the Emerald Green color. I ordered up a size from review recommendations and it was still snug across the back of my shoulders. I don't have broad shoulders so . Anyway I decided to send it back because of the fit. All my other LL Bean coats have been excellent.

Beautiful jacket! Loved the color! But shoulders skimpy and sleeves too long. Unfortunately I returned jacket.

The fleece was beautiful but it was so fluffy that I looked like I'd gained another 100 pounds. I returned it.

I had high hopes for this jacket. After shopping around I thought this jacket was the best quality and price. I liked it was lined and looks very thick. Both are true. What I wasn't expecting was the stiffness of the trim along the edge of the snap closure. It doesn't seem like that would be a deal breaker but since the neck is high on the coat the stiff, itchy trim rubs against my chin and neck irritating the skin. I had to return it, unfortunately.

As other reviewers have noted, this jacket isn't as cozy as I had expected. I hadn't realized (my fault for not reading the specifications more closely) that the sleeves are lined on the inside - this makes the jacket warmer I suppose, but the sleeves are cold when you put on the jacket and this isn't a jacket I would want to wear over bare arms since it's not soft and snuggly. The taffeta lining also makes sounds when you bend or move your arms. The fleece fabric on the outside is not as soft as I had expected either. I got a size Petite XS (my usual LL Bean size is Petite XXS) after reading reviews that it runs small. I'm 5'3" and 115 lbs with a large chest (30GG bra size). The jacket fits well with ample room for my chest but I agree with other reviewers that the sleeves are relatively tight in relation to the looser, boxier cut of the body. I love the Sea Green color, which I got for a great deal on sale ($54). I'm still debating keeping it, exchanging it for the next size down to see if it's less boxy, or simply returning it. I think if I had paid full price for the jacket I would return it. I had wanted something super soft and cozy to wear while I'm working from home/running errands, and something I could wear over short sleeve or long sleeve shirts - this doesn't quite fit the bill for me. I would say this is more of a utilitarian outdoor/active jacket than a loungewear/snuggly jacket if that makes sense.

I really wanted to love this jacket! It looks great on the models in the pics. I was looking for a cozy fleece/Sherpa jacket and liked the fun, muted sea green color. When it came in the mail, I was disappointed to see and feel the texture which feels much like an old, scratchy high pile rug, not soft and cozy like the pics made it seem IMO. Also not a fan of the taffeta nylon sleeve lining. I'm 5'5', ordered M and it just covered my bum.

Considering that I ordered a size 3+ women's jacket, the sleeves are very tight. My arms are not overly large and this has been a problem with L.L. Bean jackets in the past as long as you don't want to wear any extra clothing under the jacket, it might be fine. I was sorry to have to return it.

I love the color and it fits me well but I was expecting it to be much softer. I have other LL Bean fleece that is so soft. I am going to keep the jacket and hope I get used to it.

Ordered a size larger for loose fit. Still tight around the hips.

I am tall and athletic built. The sleeves are just right, but the trunk is huge. I didn't return for a smaller size because the sleeves would then be too short. It is very warm and great for soccer games in the Midwest fall weather. Just wish the sizing was more proportional.

The lining is thin flimsy cotton. It could have been nylon to help it fit over sweaters and make it smoother to put on/take off. It also would have been warmer. It's a pity because it comes in gorgeous colors.

Boxy shape and not that warm. I liked the blue color. Also the fur was not the best quality.

Disappointed, but I should have read the description carefully. I purchased this for style after enjoying the fleece shirt. I was not warmed by the 'taffeta' lined sleeve. It was too cold. Also, the stability of the sleeve lining fabric allowed no give for the XL arm girth, which often accompanies the XL hip girth.

The picture of this sherpa jacket online is alluring but the color of the green jacket is just underwhelming. The color looks like it has been washed and it isn't soft... It's a rough fleece. It's also pretty short jacket for a fleece. Defintely not a keeper. This will be returned this weekend. Plus it is expensive for this type of quality. I'm more so shocked about that.

The trim on the cream colored jacket looks like a lovely blue online. I received the jacket after a long wait and the trim looked gray. I returned it and ordered a different color.

This jacket looks so cute on, but the sleeves are very uncomfortable. The sleeves were very stiff/tight, even with just a long sleeve shirt on. Like other reviewers, I did not like the nylon lining in the sleeves. Gives the jacket a cold feeling unlike other fleeces.

I am trying to decide if I want to exchange it for an x-small. I like how the sleeves fit but am worried if I downsize the sleeves might be shorter than I'd like. The chest/stomach area is where the largeness comes into play. It is very baggy with more than enough room for layers. For reference, I am approximately 135lbs and 5'4. The color is not as white/cream as the picture shows, more of a muted cream color. It is very warm and cozy and doesn't feel like a bulky sherpa which is nice.

Boxy fit, leaves a space for cold air. Sleeves were not lined for extra warmth. Loved the indigo color but not worth the price. Returned it. Had to pay for shipping.

Antique Gold color is a dirty brown in person. Online it's a more vibrant mustardy yellow. I'm returning.

I've dearly wanted a cozy Sherpa and this looked as if it would fit the bill. I'm afraid I have to agree that the cotton lining in the body and the satin lining in the sleeves left me cold, wishing I could turn the jacket "wrong side out" to wear. Another problem was that the sleeves are loose at the wrist. Also not a cozy feel. The style is great, the fit was good, and I loved the indigo color. It doesn't serve my purpose, however, which was to have a warm and soft Sherpa.

I am not sure that I love this jacket. I feel like I am wearing a sesame street character's outfit. The color is brassy, in a bad way.
