I love LLBean. Flannel or fleece is generally of good quality and substantial! I am 5'3, approximately 125-127 lbs, and wear a women's size 8. In Bean, I buy a Small and did so with this fleece jacket, and the fit is fine. I agree with a couple of other reviews, that the inside lining is a comfortable knit, but the lining in the sleeves is different than the bodice; lining is nylon (like a parka jacket) and cold when you put your arms in. Other than that oddity, I love it!

I bought the Soapstone, which to me looked like a creamy white online. In reality, it is a light beige that looks like a white that has been worn a lot and now looks dirty. I plan to exchange for another color. Aside from the color, I LOVE this fleece. It's warm but not heavy in terms of weight/bulk. Easy to throw on over other layers. Fits me comfortably in terms of size and cut. The neck is extra cozy in the wind. I love that the style is on-trend but classic. This is going to be one of my most-worn clothing items. Equally good for outdoor wear and wearing indoors on a chilly evening. Feels well-made.

I bought the jacket in black in a size large, my regular size in all LL Bean jackets and tops. It fits nicely. I read a few criticisms of the lining in the reviews. I have worn the jacket for a couple of weeks and I hadn't even noticed that the sleeves are lined with a different fabric from the body. I think I understand why they did that. My guess is the sleeves are lined with a slippery fabric for easy on and off over layers and the body is lined with a knit for coziness. So here is where the black version falls short. They edged the sleeves and front edges with navy blue trim. I am guessing that was a money saving choice as they offer the jacket in a dark blue color too. It's always more economical for the manufacturer to buy a larger quantity of materials in the same color rather than smaller quantities in different colors. I think for $99 I can expect the trim to match the fleece. Now whenever I look at my jacket I can't stop noticing how cheap it looks. Too bad. It was so close to perfect. The sherpa fleece has held up well so far and shows no signs of matting or pilling. I haven't decided if I'll keep it. I guess it will depend on whether or not I can get used to the black and navy combo. As you can see in the photo, the sleeves are cuffed about an inch. I am 5'4" and the sleeves are a little bit long for me. That is almost always the case with my fleece jackets so I'm used to it.

This is exactly the fleece jacket I was looking for! I am normally a Medium Petite in LLBEAN, however the Medium Regular fit perfectly. It is long and loose enough to wear a layer underneath, and I love the color.

A fun replacement to an older fleece that had seen better days. The button front is a nice alternative

Fit is just right for my petite size. Length flattering. Fabric thickness warm without too much bulk. Back seam nice feature.

I purchased both the Antique Gold and the Neutral color. I love both. The material seems to adapt to temperature in that I stay warm down to zero, but I don't overheat in them. I love that the sleeves are lined with a slick material so I can get sweaters and tee-shirts underneath without the sleeve riding up. The pockets are large enough for a cell phone in a case. They wash great--look new after washing. And importantly, they do not shed. I am 5'2" and purchased a regular medium (instead of my usual Petite Medium)--excellent fit.

Love this Sherpa fleece. Is warm and lined so it does not stick to sweaters or fleece. It fits pretty much perfect, I got a medium, but a large might have been better over layers. I was afraid the sleeves would be too long on a large.

A shorter version of the sherpa fleece coat. I did return it as it was shorter than I expected.

The picture doesn't look like my jacket which has no zippers--just heavy duty snaps. Most LL Bean outdoor clothing strongly reeks of being in the woods or the equivalent. This doesn't. It could easily be work in a business casual environment or even slightly dressier. The jacket is warm and attractive. The lining helps keep the warmth inside. It's easy care and attractive enough that it can be worn in an urban setting. I'd save it for settings where it wouldn't be expected to be abused (like hiking) because it's too nice for that. But it isn't delicate at all--just good looking. I haven't had it long enough to tell if it will last a long time but I sure hope it will.

I ordered this jacket after purchasing the pull over version a year or two ago. Definitely the warmest fleece I've ever had. Well made and designed. With a windbreaker or unlined shell, definitely more warm than most puffy jackets

I was smitten with the cute style of this jacket and determined to order, even though I questioned its warmth and quality but I took a chance and ordered anyway. Both reservations were resolved when the jacket arrived. Quality was better than expected. The lining was of a better quality fabric than expected with the entire interior lined, including sleeves. I'm also enjoying the snaps for a change from the usual zipper. This jacket is warmer than I thought making it even more wearable than originally expected, too. Needless to say, I am well pleased. I'm 128 lbs. 5'1 so ordered a Petite small to insure sleeves would not be too long. Color is blue.

True to size, yet bulky enough for extra warmth. I purchased this as a mid layer for downhill skiing on extra cold days. It is bulky, but cozy.

Very comfortable, soft and warm. Loved it so much we bought a second in another color. Normally wear a small which did fit but wanted the option to layer up so we exchanged the first one for a medium and stayed with that size on the second one. Highly recommend this jacket!
