The fit is good for petites but the coat is not warm at all. Our winters are usually in the 30s, and I would consider this more a spring/early fall light jacket.

Love this coat. My husband got one last year and I wanted one after that. We ordered the gunmetal gray and it's definitely more of a navy than any kind of gray. Definitely upset about that part.

The coat is nice quality, color is lovely, and stylish BUT the name of the coat is deceiving. Being a "puffer" jacket you'd think this coat would have some puff to it. It's VERY lightweight. Definitely could not be used as a winter coat. More of a fall/spring jacket.

I love the look of the jacket, but i don't think it keeps you warm any more than a regular lightweight quilted jacket. I wore it twice in upper 40s to lower 50s and I was cold both times.

I quite liked the look, weight, and quality of this jacket, but the upper arms were bizarrely tight. I'm a curvy 5'9" and struggle to find women's clothes at LL Bean that work for me (their target height seems to be women around 5'4"), and this jacket would have been *perfect* if not for the sleeves. It would benefit from a two-way zipper and an inside pocket, so one star off for that, and another for the tight sleeves.

It is more like a man's jacket. It runs big. More like a fall jacket, not winter.

Comfortable but overpriced. Probably good for cool spring days but not so much for chilly fall weather.
Outer nylon shell is very thin. I wore with a turtleneck underneath. Pretty color and size was fine.

Loved this online, loved the colors available. But when I received it I felt for the size I ordered the sleeves and coat were very narrow. So I had to return it.

My main problem with this jacket is that the sleeves are just way too long. Petite sizing should include the understanding that we petite sized folks have shorter legs and arms than regular sized folks. So, I don't want to return it because I like it, but I will have to figure out how to shorten the sleeves in a way to looks ok.

This jacket was way too large on me. I returned it immediately. I got the petite xxs instead. Even that was still a little loose but I took it anyway because of color and quality. But definitely not a form fitting jacket for petite people like me!

I liked this jacket for so many reasons. I especially loved the snaps instead of velcro on the pockets. Gave the jacket a more stylish look! The drawback for me was no hem drawstring. Jacket flared out around hem which I do not like the look of. Having a hem drawstring keeps the cold out and allows for adjustment for people of different hip widths. Not sure why LLB left the drawstring out as it is present on the other primaloft style jackets. Unfortunately, the jacket went back.

Received jacket ok. Shoes were to be shipped first week of January. Not here by Jan 20.
Why?

I would not consider this a winter coat, it is very light weight and not very warm. I actually sent it back because it wasn't what I expected.
Althought, it was a well made, light weight spring or fall jacket.

Originally ordered a medium based on the size chart. it was WAY to big in the waist. Exchanged it for a small which was still too large in the waist/stomach area. Almost looks like a maternity jacket. The shoulders and sleeves fit well, but still boxy in the torso. Also a very thin jacket. THough It may have been warm, but I didn't get a chance to try it out. I returned it.

I am very disappointed in the jacket
Mainly because I thought it would be puffier??
It's paper thin and cannot believe it's doable for 30 degrees
For the price, I would shop further for a heavier/thicker puff jacket
AlsoNo cuffs, just a binding on the sleeves

This was a PETITE medium. That option wasn't given when I started this review. Pros: Zipper works, easy on and off, not too long, (hits at my waist), sleeves are the right length for me. Cons; It is a much lighter weight than I expected, definitely not a winter coat, the color is very off from the computer picture. I was expecting a dark pumpkin like color and this is a dusty maroon-ish. Hard to describe. Think of the maroon you see on fall leaves. I just wore it on a 2 mile walk and it is about 50 degrees out. If it was colder than that, it wouldn't be warm enough. When I lose 5 more pounds I make be able to put a fleece under it, but it would be tight to layer with anything else right now. The other con is the finish on the sleeve cuff doesn't look substantial. I will see how it holds up if I decide to keep it but for $105.- I was expected a bit more.

Order a size up. This item definitely runs small & not as thick and warm as it appears, a Spring & Fall jacket at best.

Just meh. Coat was much lighter than I'd expected and quality is not great. Fit was true to size. Will likely return it.

I wanted this jacket but the very prominent logo on the chest is a deal breaker for me. A much smaller logo down at the hem is just right, but the large one on the chest of this jacket is too much like a billboard imo. Some of the other LLB jackets don't have the billboard logo and I wish this one didn't.

This is a nice coat, the lighter weight and bulk I was hoping for. It is, however, cut smaller than I anticipated, making it impractical for layering. The real problem is quality - I've had the coat for a couple of months, and the stitching on the cuffs is fraying and coming undone. For what I paid, I'm not putting up with that - it's going back.

nice coat but zipper doesn't open at bottom. not convenient when getting in and out of car in cold weather. LL Bean should know better.

the jacket is not as warm as one might expect. the fill is too light and the wind does penetrate. need to layer for extra warmth on cooler or windy days. I am a bit disappointed, expected better quality.

The fit around the mid-section is terrible, (XS).
It would fit my 5'8", 130lbs. wife if she was eight months pregnant. Too much extra material for the cost of this jacket. It also looks a lot more blue than gunmetal gray. Considering returning.

I was really excited to order this and bought a size larger according to my measurements and the size chart so it would fit over lots of layers. What arrived is not a high quality piece - the material is thin and doesn't feel substantial. The body, sleeves and shoulders are very tight, so either the measurement chart or sizing is off, and for some ridiculous reason the size is printed in half-inch letters in white on the inside neck, which is just weird, useless, and goofy. This is one of the few misses I've ordered from LL Bean over the years - ill-fitting, ridiculous labeling, and bad quality. I am truly disappointed. I'll be returning it.

Too tight in the shoulders and too wide in the waist. Had to return. I liked the color and the warmth, but the fit was all off. (Purchased size small, 125 lbs, 5'4")
