The only thing I'm sad about is that the Grey coat was back ordered! I've had versions of this coat from other outdoor clothing companies, but I like this one the best! Light, good fit, solid Fall, Spring, light Winter jacket! It's just a bit tight in the arms when wearing a sweatshirt, but that's the "worst" thing I can say!

I bought the Petite XL, having a 40" bust. I wanted this jacket to fit me as a layer over long sleeved tees and sweatshirts. It does that perfectly. It is just right for spring weather in MN. I wear it for errand running, dog walking and hikes when the temperature is still in the upper 30's through 40's. It is even comfortable when it is a bit warmer, if I wear only one layer under it. The sleeve length is perfect and I love the higher zip-up collar to keep cool breezes out. I purchased the gunmetal grey, which has a slight bluish hue to it. I think is a great shade of the color grey. In the pictures it looks like it might have a metal zipper, but the zipper itself is nylon, with a metal pull. This jacket feels very light weight to wear and isn't bulky at all. It is well made and a good investment.

Bought two : 1 beige, 1 black. Toasty but light weight over sweaters. Does not soil. Easy to hang/pack, and waterproof . The design impressed me first....sleek but not bulky. One Snap on pockets secures items. Both colors work with all my wardrobe! thank you

This jacket is lighweight, lightweight and warm. Another great coat from LLB!! My only regret is that I wasn't able to get the coat in the Light Hickory. Hopefully you will bring back this jacket next year so I can get another one in the LIght Hickory.

Got this in the Shore Sand. Great color for all year round. Was worried about fit, but can even wear a sweatshirt under it fairly comfortably. Have had to return the last few items I have ordered, but this is definitely a winner!!

I bought this jacket because it was not puffy and difficult to move in. I do not like driving with heavy coats they are uncomfortable and cumbersome regardless of the weather. This jacket is very warm and it has a great fit. I find alot of people are misled by these type of coats but they would be wrong llbean has a great product in this jacket and I would recommend it

LLBean jeans have the best fit! Never tug to pull them up. All their outdoor clothing is so great at keeping warm & dry.

This jacket is lightweight and very warm. It is exceptionally good at retaining your body heat. I have worn it in temperatures ranging from 30 degrees down to 10 degrees and it stays warm. I have worn it in the rain and watch the water bead up on the fabric while I stayed dry. I have used it as a liner with other jackets on exceptionally cold and windy days, but usually I wear as a jacket by itself. I bought it in black, but liked it so much that I bought a second one in the Shore Sand color, which is a nice champagne shade. Great addition to my winter wardrobe!

I purchase a petite medium because of my shorter arms and the fit is perfect. Jacket is a nice weight for the cooler fall and winter days.

I am nurse and needed to find a non bulky jacket to wear over my scrubs. This jacket is perfect! It keeps me warm without all the extra bulkiness. I use a scarf on really cold days and never feel chilled. Our winters are mild..lows in the 30s usually. If you live somewhere alot colder, it may not be enough. I ordered it in black since I tend to wear black or grey scubs then add a bright scarf. I think it looks great.

This is a very comfortable light weight jacket. I ordered a large as I like to layer for walking and snowshoeing - and this was perfect. Comes down mid hip - excellent fit.

I love this jacket! It's very lightweight, but plenty warm. I've had it for a month. It washes easy and is the best jacket I've purchased! i bought the Petite XL and love that it fits like a normal XL and is just shorter, not narrower!

I was hesitant to order this, as I really didn't want a black jacket; but after reading reviews, ordered anyway. It's a great water resistant coat and warm, fits true to size, and looks good on. It isn't tapered, if you're wanting a tapered look. It's more relaxed. Just wasn't what I was personally looking for in outer wear for myself, so it had to go back. I'd recommend this coat, especially if looking for a black water resistant winter jacket.

So happy L.L. Bean has been putting out better color options for women's jackets that aren't bright pink or blue! Love the "fatigue green" color. I am a medium in basically anything and everything and this is a teeny bit big, but that works well for layering.

I love the way this jacket fits. It's not boxy or too fitted, I can comfortably wear a sweatshirt underneath if it's particularly cold out. The quality feels great. It's my new go-to jacket before I head out the door.

Bought for my granddaughter who rides the bus to school. She says it's great for waiting outside, and not too warm for riding inside the bus!

I really loved this jacket, it fits so nice, keeps me warm and makes me look great. i can also wear a nice fitting LL bean sweater underneath, just a little snug , but still is comfortable. Would order another color if it goes on sale.

I ordered this because I liked the retro vibe it had, because it doesn't have a hood, & is lightweight. I wore it out today to a couple of stores for shopping (drove, parked, & into store) for the first time in 40 degree weather with a flannel button up shirt from Target under it & I was surprisingly warm (I'm cold natured & thought it would be cold because of how thin it is). When I was inside with it on, I had to unzip it because I got too warm. I contemplated exchanging it for a medium because it seems a smidge big (I'm 40" bust, 32 waist, 41 hips), 5'5" & 160 & I'd say it's about 2" too big in chest/stomach and sleeves are 1" too long, but when I did the 'hug test' to myself, I felt the pull in the shoulders so I'm afraid medium will be too small. It is slightly fitted in the waist which is great. I'm going to keep it for layering and may go ahead and give medium a try in another color next year. Overall I love it, especially how lightweight and comfortable it is for driving and not having a hood.

I absolutely love this jacket. I do wish I had ordered a petite large instead of the petite xl. I have broader shoulders and find some petite jackets have narrower shoulders. This one does not. It is a perfect jacket to keep with you for colder weather days in the South and for leaving in your car to take into restaurants and offices where is may be a bit cold. It is lightweight and warm enough for milder winters.

Very comfortable, good fit and warm enough with a cotton knit shirt under for NW Illinois temps (30-40's).

I was afraid it would not be warm enough when I opened the package and felt it was so lightweight. However, it has been perfect in colder weather (20-30 degrees) and even wind. It has also held up to lots of washing so far. Love it!
