I ask my daughter what she wanted for her birthday and she picked this jacket. I looked at it on the web site and didn't like it. But that's what she wanted. When it came in and she tried it on, wow I changed my mind. The difference colors of the jacket somehow works. She loves it and that's what matters the most.

Fits a litle more snug than the traditional LL Bean sizing so I recommend using your normal size, love the insultaed anorak! Great for adventures or being in town!

I have this same jacket in the quilted version size L. I ordered this in L as well and it is huge! I am returning it for a M hopefully it'll fit. I wear the heck out of the quilted one, the style is cute, the colors are great, just found that the size compared to the other one was a little inconsistent.

This jacket is very warm and comfortable. I like that it has both the zipper pocket and open pocket in the front. I sized up to make it extra easy to get off and I am glad I did. My usual size would fit, but i appreciate the extra room, especially if I have a chunky sweater on. I know others mentioned the filling coming out through the coat - I have only worm mine a habdful of times and already see this happening a bit too.

I really do love this jacket. My problem is it has just started pilling. The white fibers are coming up through the material. This is just the 3rd season I have worn it. I just noticed it last week which was the first time i have put it on this fall. That is why I would be hesitant to recommend. Such a shame.

It seems to be okay. I haven't worn it yet since it's now hot here in Florida.

Great pullover, Love the weight!
You cannot zip it all the way up the neck without the hood on. It is a very weird design. I love to zip it up when it is cold to cover my mouth and nose but can't without the hood up. I would definitely change this design. I am not going to send back because I like it but it is just a bummer.
I am an athletic size 18 and 5'3" and it is a great fit!

This is a good looking jacket with light insulation that is perfect for keeping dry in early spring. I've worn it on a couple of rainy days and it keeps me dry. I got a medium so I could wear a sweater underneath and there is plenty of room. So far it is keeping me dry and warm in March when the weather can change quickly.

Loved the colors and the huge pockets. Was actually too warm for what I needed going into spring, so exchanging for the non-insulated version. For this one, only complaint would be it barely covers my rear--so wouldn't work on crazy cold days for me (for dog walks). But really really love the pockets and the deep hood. (Might buy it for next winter anyhow...)

Great insulated one ! Took off a star for not exactly many color choices.

This holds heat in well and is light enough to not overheat when playing outside with my young children. I do wish it was slightly more fitted in the waist area. I love the colors and am very happy with the purchase.

I like this jacket for snowshoeing and fat biking. It is a little boxy to wear as an everyday jacket. I like having the storage pouch for extra gloves and things

I love this jacket ~ warm , great for wearing while doing errands ~ in and out of the store/car etc.
Many compliments! One star off because it has started to pill significantly ~ the insulating material in "leaking " through the outer fabric.

Not very easy to take off or put on over your head. Disappointing.

I ordered a petite, small and I was still swimming in this jacket. If I ordered xsmall it would be too small. So, beautiful style, but it needs to be more form fitting for women and not boxy. Jack Wolfskin coats are form fitting and attractive - go that route on this jacket

The design should have more room through the armpit since it is an anorak. The medium fits me fine length and arms, but difficult to get on and off. Large is easier to get off but much too big.

The Jacket fits well I just don't like the concept that I have to pull over my head instead of zippering it down.

I loved how this looked on line but once I got it, it was HUGE and certainly bigger than what a "normal" XL that I've been use to. It was also like a windbreaker - much lighter than I had anticipated. When it said insulated, I expected a heavy winter-type jacket, which is what I was looking for. The overall appearance upon opening the package was pretty much a very large square jacket. Nothing slim looking about it as depicted - and it looked horrible on. I love the colors and hope maybe a winter type jacket from LL Bean will eventually be created. Had to send back.

I, like many others, don't buy animal products or products. LLBean does not list leather as a component of this jacket, but the tabs on the drawcord of this and many of their other jackets are made of leather. I found this out by contacting customer service, who then told me to buy it anyway and remove the leather tabs myself. Wow! I hope LLBean will seriously reconsider their use of leather, especially in products like this one that is otherwise vegan friendly. They've lost a customer in me.

I love this jacket for medium weather. It fits me perfectly and looks great. That being said I do wish I had gotten it a size larger so I could put a bigger sweater under it and make it easier to get on and off as I have a bad shoulder.

This jacket fit perfectly and was very comfortable and I loved it. Unfortunately, like others have reported, the fill started coming through the outer fabric of the jacket in many places. I have returned it. We love LL Bean and all their products and in 20 years this is the first time we have ever had any item that was defective.

Poor quality shell fabric! Fuzz balls keep appearing on the exterior of the jacket. It is the insulation coming right thru the exterior fabric! Much cheaper quality from previous jackets I have purchased of this type. Very Disappointing!!!

I was so happy to find this jacket. I love this look and it's a great in-between weight - for late fall, early spring and good for layering. However, I cannot recommend it. After about 10 wearings the fill started coming through the outer fabric. I started seeing white fuzz where my arms rub against my sides. I initially pulled the fuzz off, and after doing this multiple times I realized I was pulling the fill out of the jacket. It keeps getting worse I'm so disappointed and will return it.

Bought this thinking I'd be able to use it in the Sierra Nevada. Not insulated at all. It wasn't even warm enough for a 65F afternoon in the Smoky Mountains. Very disappointed. The only reason why I didn't return is because I used it already on the trip.
