It's perfect for rainy fall weather or chilly spring. There's enough pockets to carry any essentials and it can be packed into itself.

This is a perfect Anorak. I live in the PNW where it rains a lot so it has already been ops tested a number of times. The anorak is a perfect length to keep your torso dry and the insulation helps create a warmth barrier. The hood works extremely well whether using it solo or pairing it with a baseball cap to minimize the drizzle on your face/glasses. The tummy pocket allows for easy access to keys or phone. It is very roomy and fine to wear with either one layer or several.

My daughter wears size 6, had to exchange the medium petite for small petite because medium was too big. Great coat, nicely sewn.

Perfect jacket for chilly fall walks or mild winter day trips in out of car and perfect length. Love the front pockets, no need to carry a purse for wallet keys & phone!

First things first; the colors are fabulous. I'm not colorblind and I was 100% satisfied by how they appeared, in person, compared to how they looked online. Next, the interior lining is quilted and provides more warm than I anticipated which I'm so thrilled about. Lastly, this Anorak style is the perfect throwback to the Anorak I had in high school the one that could fold up into the front pocket and turn into a little easily transportable pouch. LOVE this item & highly recommend!

I have the solid black version of this item. It is terrific in design and function, and I wear it all the time in the cooler months. Since black is the only solid color available for me (that looks good on me), I decided to try the color block version. After waiting about 3 months for this combination to be available, I was SO disappointed when I opened the package. The gray upper section is really a blue-gray, and the lower khaki section is heavily tinted with green. With the turquoise sleeves, the whole jacket really takes on a blue/green coloring, which is not what I was hoping for (and it looks atrocious on me). The dark red pocket is the only part of the jacket that I like. I wish you'd make a solid dark red version of this anorak (the fabric is clearly available to do this!) Sadly, it was returned, and I'll wait for a version of this jacket in a WARM colorway (dark red, canyon coral, deep pink, khaki, neutral/warm grey)

I love this anorak. I've never had one before. The colors are great. The fit is good. It is a little long because I'm short, so even though I ordered petite, my personal preference would have been for it to be not quite so long. But, I liked everything else about it, so I'm keeping it and looking forward to getting a lot of wear out of it during the fall/winter/spring in the coastal areas of Northern California.

I got this for my sister in WA for Xmas. She's 4'11" tall, 120#, with a muscular upper body since she lifts weights regularly. I got XL (Petite) instead of just L, and thought for sure she'll end up exchanging it for a L. Surprise! XL was perfect since she likes to wear bulky sweaters underneath. I thought for sure she'd have to shorten the sleeves but she said they were perfect since at times she forgets her gloves and likes to tuck her hands in her sleeves. She was **NUTS** about the style, fit and colors, as well as the L.L. Bean quality!!!

I tried both L and XL but decided room for a fleece was worth having the jacket a bit roomy. It is quite pretty, get complements, nice pockets and can keep hands warm and dry in front pocket. Keeps me dry in modest rain but haven't had chance to test it in a downpour yet.

I ordered an xl because I wanted to be able to wear heavier layers under it. I found I did not need to wear a lot of layers to stay warm in the colder weather so a large would have fit fine. Wind and rain are not a problem. I love the kangaroo pouch as my hands are always cold even with gloves on so I put them in there and they stay warm. This is the best jacket I have owned for walking in colder weather.

Bought this Anorak without the liner and loved it on rainy days! But with the colder weather (snow and gusty winds on Lake Michigan), I decided to purchase the insulted one! It is ideal for walks along the shore! Keeps the cold and wind out! Could not be happier! Several people have approached me with questions about the parka and if it keeps me warm! Glad I bought both! The colors are awesome too!

This is exactly what I was looking for. The insulation isn't super thick but it's enough to make this feel very comfy. I was nervous about the sizing but the petite xs was perfect for me (5'2" 108lb). I don't like my clothes to be tight; this gives me room to wear a pretty hefty sweater under it and still be comfortable while not looking like a bag. The length was a little past my hips. I think anyone taller than 5'3" should go with the regular instead of petite though. I haven't worn it out yet, but so far I'm thrilled with the purchase.

This is super cute and the insulation feels great! I originally ordered a bigger size (XS regular I believe), but that was too boxy and the sleeves were much too long. I exchanged it for an XXS petite, which fits very well. I have a bad shoulder so I was a little worried about getting this anorak on and off, but it's actually very easy to do. It hasn't been chilly enough to wear this yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Happy for the insulated version of this jacket. Love the colors of the Tuscan Olive! I have another color version that is ok as a Small Petite so I ordered same size in this jacket... re-ordering XS Petite as previously suggested in reviews to try 1 size down than normal. Will then have both sizes to compare and return 1 of them. My suspicion is I'll get more use if it's a bit smaller, esp. since I have a larger Small Petite in a different color version if I need it. Love the pull over Anorak style with the kangaroo pocket for putting items in when hiking, and the roomy boxy shape gives room for wearing a couple layers underneath.

I love, love, love this! I bought matching ones for my husband and I. They look great, the zip pouch is excellent.... it's just a great piece. I wear mine in the house too because I'm cold. I wear it like a regular hoodie not just an outdoor jacket. It fits true to size for me and my husband.

Very pleased with the quality. The fit is a little more square than I would have like, but the quilting on the inside is warm, the exterior cloth is a nice jacket-like material, and the styling is adorable!

First of all, beautiful jacket. I love this retro style of anorak and have wanted one ever since I caught sight of something similar on the OA. I ordered this in the spruce green and olive. I liked the dull appearance of the gunmetal better, but i think my choice goes better with my skin tone.
Less lined than I would have preferred, but I also prefer to layer since i tend to run hot. The inside is very soft and satiny too. But the reason I have to exchange it is the size. It's MASSIVE. Bean tends to run large, I realize that. A lot of my bean clothing is XXS - XS. I ordered this anorak in an XS thinking I could use the extra layering room. I also happened to have a fisherman cable knit sweater in this order and even with that sweater on, and a base layer under that, this jacket was a total tent on me.
I'm going to exchange it for the XXS. I really hope it fits. I love this jacket otherwise. If it even remotely comes close, I'll keep the exchange jacket. I'm tempted to try the petite, but i like the length of this one, and the arms aren't too long.
If you're smaller than I am, you might try the petite, but if you're the same height but thinner, you may find this won't fit you in any size.

I thought this was a light weight, wind breaker type jacket, but it actually a mid weight snuggly warm lined jacket. I really like it

I like an anorak style jacket so I am pleased that LL Bean has a few options. I love the colors of these too. I ordered Large Petite and I am 5'2" and about 135 lbs. A medium would have worked but I like the extra room for layers, but others might think it is too baggy. I would worry smaller might be a bit constricting at the shoulder girth for active wear (for reaching etc). I wear this in cool temps (30's to low 50's) and have been on lots of hikes with it, then for errands after hikes, and it is the right weight for moderately coolstayed dry in a very light rain. I will say that pit zips would be a great addition for how I am using it as it could do with more ventilation during hikes.

This is a great jacket for outdoors and casual activities. It is very stylish and comfortable to wear and there is plenty of storage space in the pouch pocket! One thing to note: getting into it and out of it is like putting a shirt on or off. If you have any shoulder issues it could be a problem. As I was taking it off, I thought a side zipper would make getting it on and off easier. Overall I really like it.

Very good jacket because of the kangaroo pocket. It frees your hands and holds lots of stuff. My only suggestion is make this jacket in solid colors. Not a fan of the color blocking.
