I haven't tested it in a rain storm but it seems like a nice weight to keep me dry. I like that it is not bulky and stuffs in a pocket. I plan to carry it in my backpack for hiking as well as my suitcase for regular travel.

Perfect just what I was looking for. I sized up a size and it is perfect. The material moves with you and it is washable. I love the zippered pockets. I ordered yellow so I can be seen on my mobility scooter. I love the sunshine but I look forward to using it in the rain.

I've been looking for a rain jacket for over a year, and am now wondering why I didn't try this one sooner. I love it! I usually wear a petite medium, and changed this one up to a petite large. It fits over heavy sweaters and sweatshirts without making me look like a sausage. The hood is really well designed, with several ways to adjust it. The zippers are great and I don't mind the velcro. I haven't worn it in the rain yet, but tried sprinkling water on it. It beaded up and ran off the fabric, so I'm confident it will keep me dry. The stitching is well done and the overall quality seems great. In addition to being highly functional, it looks cute! I like it so much that I may need to buy another color. I have the navy, but the green is very tempting. Rarely have I liked a utilitarian product so much.

This jacket passed the test! We need waterproof, not water repellent around here. I stayed dry in the downpour today, and the hood kept my face and glasses dry. You can tighten the hood and cuffs when it's windy, which it was. My phone stayed dry in the pocket as well. Good quality and construction.

Chose medium to give room to layer in cooler temps. Other reviewers commented about not liking the Velcro closer beside the zipper. I didn't like it either but had no removing them. Very satisfied with the result. Protects well from showers and downpours. Also provides some protection from wind. Navy goes with everything.

I love the Clover color, the style, workmanship and the fact that it fits me well as I like to wear my jackets loose.

Really love this rain coat, from the color to the fit. As it's winter here in Michigan, I've yet to take it for a spin but I'm confident it'll do the job!

I bought 2 of these. One for my daughter and one for me to wear during our summer vacation to the UK. I size up jackets as a matter of routine so no issues with sizing. The cut of the jacket lays nice and flatters a large range of body shapes. It has a sense of simple elegance for both my petite daughter and myself. It is a very light weight and kept us dry in the rainy weather. After 1 1/2 years of regular use, it still looks new. I bought a different brand rain coat at the same time but is looks ready for goodwill. The longer I have the jacket the more I like it. This coat is worth the higher price. The only negative was that it is not made in the USA.

I've had this coat now since 2018, when I bought it for a rainy trip. I am still impressed by how well it's held up and how well it blocks water (impenetrable to this day). There are plenty of pockets. In particular I love how lightweight it is so I can wear it with a light t-shirt in summer rainstorms or later it over a fleece for wet, windy hiking. Highly recommend!

I got this in the navy blue. I got it a size too big because I will need to layer in order to wear this is the winter. It's just right so far. I haven't been out in a downpour yet, but in the little rain showers, the jacket seems water-proof! LOVE all the pockets on this jacket. Basically don't need to bring a purse with me when I wear this for quick trips to the store - makes Covid-19 a little more manageable.

This jacket kept me completely dry on a 5 hour hike in the rain! It was breathable and my phone in the pocket stayed dry too. I went with the XL for layering, but there is room and feel a L would be adequate if you don't want to layer. I usually wear a L in Bean clothes. I have not found the velcro to be an issue as others have, though agree snaps would be nicer.

As usual, LL Bean has thought of everything in this jacket. Pockets are exactly where you need them & are the right size for your stuff. The color is great, but not as bright as it looked in the catalog.

Yesterday was the first day we've had wetness since my rain jacket arrived and it did everything exactly right particularly my t-shirt didn't get wet nor did the Dress Gordon flannel work shirt, both of which I wore to keep warmer in the snow. On the whole it was my best snow or rain day since I moved to SoCal in 1989. Y'all do nice work! Thank you.
FYI - Because of my occupation, it is my habit not to recommend or comment on professional or personal services to others.
Also FYI, I haven't worn or used either the white dress shirt or the yellow flannel sheets you asked me to comment on but as soon as I have used or worn them I will comment.

I bought this in the clover color and it is very pretty. I have worn in for two weeks while hiking in the rain. I stayed completely dry. The pockets are well placed and zip closed. The chest pocket is very useful and fits my phone. I wore this over a fleece and a primaloft jacket and it was still very comfortable. The hood fit well. I am a bit particular about jackets, as I prefer to keep them as long as possible, and this is a winner.

Love thos raincoat! I am 5'1" and have trouble finding a raincoat with short enough sleeves. The petite size fit perfectly and I love the bright blue color.

Great raincoat but I would not pay $100. For it. Not enough real rainy day that I would use it,eg for drizzle. This is for a real steady rain or downpours at that price. I got it on sale,,

This is a most satisfactory jacket in every way - trim but roomy enough for sweater underneath, great pockets and shapely hood. A little small but still a solid medium for me. Alas, it has a very perceptible weird odor that has not gone away after hanging for a week, that increases with body warmth, and clings to whatever you were wearing underneath! However, LLBean's excellent customer service has come through again - a replacement is already on the way so I can have the jacket in time for an upcoming trip. We are all assuming the odor is an anomaly since no one else has mentioned it - if not, I will post and downgrade this review within the week.

I need a rain jacket for walking the dogs. This really fit the bill -- it's light enough to be comfortable wearing in steamy Richmond VA in the summer, totally waterproof, and I got the large so I could wear a heavy sweater under it in chillier weather. Looks good. I particularly like that I can snug up the sleeves, as they are a little long without that heavy sweater underneath...
