This cardigan is indeed soft and cozy. Fits great too (I'm 5"4'' and 115 lbs, and ordered a M). As I needed this as part of my layering scheme to keep the house's temperature down without freezing, it fits well over a base layer plus a long sleeved running shirt. That said, I had hoped for a bit more heft to the material, as it is still winter. I would recommend it to a friend as long as she understands it's not a true sweatshirt material. The description did warn me, but I was hoping anyway.

I love this cardigan! I have it in three colors and they are my go-to cover-up when I run errands. They are soft and wash well. Only two drawbacks..offer more colors and take the Llbean logo off. I am 70 and really hate wearing clothing with logos, although, the logo is small and discreetly located at the bottom of the cardigan.

I really do like this sporty cardigan. I read the reviews and sized up, I normally purchase a small in llbean. I ordered both the small and the petite medium (I was worried the medium would look too long). I kept the petite medium and returned the small. The sleeves are definitely tighter than normal smalls and since it is a layering piece I wanted room to have clothing under it. Even going up a size it would just fit a tee under it.

This is very comfortable and I love the pockets. It's a bit long - it hangs below my jackets. I don't like the plastic LL Bean sticker that is not easily removed. I would like a less relaxed version of this in black for traveling

Extremely soft and very warm. But needs a button. What good is all that warmth if it blows away with the first step you take.

So comfy! So cozy! I've worn it nearly every day since I got it. The only criticism I have is that while I'm a tall human at 6', the grading of pattern sizes has gone a bit too far lengthwise, in that the moment you put anything in the pockets, they're all the way down at my knees and require a bit of maneuvering to retrieve.

Perfect for a teacher. It can go on and come off easy during the day as the temperature changes in the building.

It's really long. Super lightweight. Definitely cozy and soft. Easy layer in winter months

I purchased 2 of the original version of these cardigans & FELL IN LOVE! I noticed they are back & in new colors, so I had to have a few more. They are still great, however not as wonderful as the original version. They seem not as soft and I had to send one back because there was a huge hole along the seam of the side. I always wonder why companies change things when the original was spot on perfect?

I sized up as had read that some reviews had written it was tight in the arms and on the small side. I was literally swimming in this cardigan. Back it goes. Fabric is nice, not too thin or thick but the pockets are ridiculous and not very flattering.

Was very disappointed with the color, not at all as shown in the catalog. Returned this item.

I was prepared to love this cardigan--classy, well made, and with all the features I was looking for. Sadly for me, the fabric was too warm, although lightweight as I wanted. The combination of fibers didn't allow my skin to breathe.

Love the fabric and the pockets. It runs small, seems like I'm constantly pulling it around me, ordered a large even though I'm barely a medium because I wanted it to be roomy. Wish it had thumbholes....

The softflex cardigan is soft and cozy. Good neutral color. Unfortunately it doesn't overlap in the front. With no coverage in the front, I won't wear it often. So I only gave it 3 stars.

I have been in search of a quality navy cardigan and this one almost fit the bill. It's thick but still lightweight, has good stretch, and the color is as expected. But at 5'5" it hit closer to knee length than mid-thigh.

Comfortable but I've noticed the inside has begun to look worn already and there is an odd LLBean sticker on the lower part that is meant to be permanent (logo tag).

Disappointed, it washed horribly in cold water and didn't put in dryer. Inside has what looks like pulling. Not what I'd expect from LLBean. It was also a flimsy thin material. Just overall-not a good purchase. I hate returning things it's a hassle and I have no time.

Decent but runs large. Didn't think it was worth the price overall.

The blue color is so pretty, and the fabric is wonderfully soft and comfortable. But I just couldn't get past the enormous gaping pockets (even without anything in them) and the "petite" length coming down to my knees. For me, only halfway-wonderful, and I am returning it.

I purchased this and it's really comfortable. But there is a sticker or label on the outside pocket that does not come off. It's annoying!!!! How do I remove it?

Runs a bit small and felt too long. I returned it. Material and wuality were good.

I purchased this little jacket in 3x so I could wear it over sweaters or a sweat jacket which is impossible to do its runs so small. I do like the softness of the material I just don't understand why everything has to be form fitting especially jackets/ Cardigans the majority of people like layering. So if you like feeling like a sausage in a nice soft cardigan jacket then this one is for you I gave 3 stars for the nice material!

This was very nice but did not look good on me! I think I am too short.

Extremely comfortable, love the length but after 3-4 wearings the front is pilling. I would mot expect this with a $70.00 sweater!

Heavier weight than expected. Feels too warm for inside use. Pockets are floppy.
