Insect shield hoodie bought on sale at end of season. I have worn it only once so far. Looking forward to trying it come next spring. I like the weight and hope the insect shield works come spring.

I purchased this shirt for my trip to Alaska. We spent some time on the Katmai Peninsula and the mosquitoes were bad. I put my insect repellant shirt on and it kept the pesky insects away! They still flew around but not landing on me. The shirt was a lifesaver! As some others have commented, it's a little stiff, but not bothersome. It was great purchase that I will get a lot of usage from.

absolutely love this top, the material is so comfortable, perfect weight.

What can I say? I love wearing well made clothes. Great for hiking in Europe and exploring the Cape Cod coast.

I wear this hoodie all the time. I do miss no pockets.

I love to spend time in the garden in the early morning, but this year the bugs and particularly the mosquitos have been awful. Rather than dousing myself in insect repellent, I decided to try this hoodie. It is amazing. Rarely get bitten and usually where the hoodie does not cover. The sleeves are long enough and with the thumb loops to cover most of my hands, and the hoodie protects my head and neck. It is lightweight but warm enough or the cool morning air. Bugs love me so very impressed this hoodie does the trick!

I don't like mosquitoes and this shirt keeps me safe from them.

Surprised how well this worked. Wore it to the family ranch that is notorious for mosquitos and didn't have a bite all night. Not real shapely and blue color is kind of weird, but for what it was intended, worked great.

Nice hoodie for hiking in cooler weather. I didn't have trouble getting this over my head, but I did purchase a size up because other people mentioned that issue. I'm glad I did, because it fits nicely!

The fabric is a great weight. Love the hood that keeps bugs away from your face.

Warm, comfortable. My pink shirt runs smaller in size than my blue shirt of the same type. I am not sure about the insect shield working.

Honestly I'm the one that mosquitoes and gnats seek out. When I wear thisand my LLBean NoFlyZone leggings, I can garden/sit by the fire/hang out on the deck in peace. I've put the hood up when the little #&$@%s are flying around my face and it keeps them away. Survival gear for me.

I haven't worn this hoodie yet. I'm taking it on a safari in September. Seems to fit well.

Mosquitoes have been scarce this summer, but I'm anticipating vacation. Because of the Permethrin you have to wash it separately. Quality is up to LL Bean standards.

We've had a terrible mosquito problem that has kept me out of the garden. This shirt really keeps them away! Excellent coverage with the hood and long sleeves, plus it's comfortable too wear.

Buy these shirts for Alaska! The mosquitoes are very challenging. This shirt provided so much protection. Definitely made for a better Alaska experience

I am so glad that you have these clothing items with the insect shield. I bought the hoodie plus the pants. Love the hoodie, I would wear this a lot even without the bug protection. Comfortable, lightweight perfect for morning or evenings when the heat is not crazy. I wish you had more colors that aren't so pastel.

Great addition to my outdoor attire. The hood helps keep bugs away from my face. The hand loops are added protection. An easy wear.

These are really cute and comfortable- definitely casual looking, but they look great with leggings or shorts. Peak mosquito season isn't here yet in Colorado (we have really bad mosquitos in the summer), but I'll update once we've used these when they get really bad. I brought these with me to Hawaii in early May and I wore one when we walked through the botanical gardens on the Big Island. We really only saw 2 mosquitos the whole trip, but my boyfriend noticed that his elbows had been bitten by something after the gardens, even though he had used the insect repellant wipes that the gardens provided. I wore this shirt with a pair of shorts and no other repellant and had no issues. I wish they would put out more colors, as the washed out colors make me look a little washed out with my fair skin, but the pink and blue are doable for me.

It fit perfectly. I am 5'2" and weigh 129lbs. I bought size medium/regular after reading reviews which complained of a tight fit (I usually order petite). The material works well for digging in the garden in the spring and fall--a tad heavy for hot summer work. No ticks, mosquitoes or other insects bothered me. When some gnats appeared, I simply flipped on the hood! It is great. (please make some in darker colors or prints for messy gardeners)

It fits as expected, feels comfortable. I will say, the bugs haven't come out yet enough to test the repellant effect though. I was worried that there would be an odor due to the impregnated fabric but there is none that I can tell.
