Ordered a Med, had to exchange. Tried for Sm, but all out so chose XS. Surprisingly, XS is right size. I never wear XS. SIZE DOWN! Fold lines were really pressed in and did not come out with washing--had to iron. Not very warm, as described--just an average, long-sleeve shirt. But I'm fairly satisfied, after figuring out the right size.

I think if I had the right size I would have maybe given it a 4 star instead of a 3 star. This top is great as an "over shirt" or "jacket/sweater". Don't plan to wear it as a sweater without something underneath. It has a habit of "static electricity" and sticking to my back. It does best with a cotton t-shirt/turtleneck underneath. I also think it tends to run a little big. I should have ordered a small, it's quite roomy. It's also a little "pouchy" in the front with the pouch, however, that's very nice if it's cool!

This is a nice pullover, however I am not a fan of kangaroo pockets. If you put your phone in it the lining hangs down below the hem and I'm always afraid my phone is going to fall out of kangaroo pockets, so this is a no go for me.

this shirt fit good true to size, but the neck was a little bit higher than what I needed it and you really can't fold it down.
it is not as soft as what I thought it should be. I was thinking that it would be a fleece and it's not

The fit this year is NOT the same as last year. They needed to lengthen the sleeves and torso which they did, but they also widened the torso and sleeves, and this year it looks plain sloppy. The arms are baggy and so is the midsection and it is not flattering. I am never a small in anything and I returned for a small. Hoping it fits. For reference the aqua color is the new fit compared to the purples from last season, all are medium regulars.

I am never sure which size I am. So I ordered 2 of these in petite, a small and medium. The small is ok but tight in the shoulders. But the medium is about 2 inches longer in One sleeve and in the length, and 3-4 inches wider in the width, 1 inch wider at the shoulder and looks huge on me. It's not often that a small and medium BOTH don't fit. Maybe I got a defective version? The detached pocket lining is bothersome as well. I looked at the men's version, and the pocket is completely attached to the horizontal seam that is at the bottom of the placket and looks better tailored. Why doesn't women's clothing get the same quality construction?

The fit is great (for tall medium/size 12). It's light in weight and makes a good layer, for example in a cool house or in moderate outside temps. The front pocket is nice too. However, I'm not happy with it. It came with fold creases, front and back, from the packaging which haven't disappeared, even after several washings. That makes me suspicious about the fabric and its origins/handling. And then the baffling on the sleeves seems to be stretching and is less crisp then it should be. I might keep it if I'd gotten it on sale, but it hasn't lived up to the expectations for best quality. Back it goes, and back to fleeces and puffs for me.

I like this material, but the fit wasn't quite right. I typically buy mediums for sweatshirts, even though I can fit into a small. Mediums are just generally more comfortable. I got a medium in this and it was just too baggy. The color was great, the material was great, it just wasn't that flattering. Possibly a small would have been more appropriate. I returned it.

I had bought this same pullover about 2 years ago in a different color and love it. Fits great, good weight, love the color (orange). So I decided to buy another one in the charcoal color. But the fit is not the same. The new one is about 2 inches longer than the other one and looks very dumpy and slouchy. So sadly I will have to return it. Too bad sizing can't be consistent among all the colors. I said I would recommend this product to a friend because I love my first purchase. But not this second one.

This is a loose fitting top. My bust measures 40" and the underarm measurements of this top are 49". The fullness at the bottom, then the tight band is not very attractive - way too much excess fabric. The fabric is quite light weight, even though it looks heavy weight - this maybe because of the ridges in the fabric. I am not happy with this top and its fit, so I am returning it.

Beautiful color, turquoise, soft and comfortable. It fit me well with no layering. But that's the problem. Surely this type of garment should be loose enough to layer. It's too warm to wear inside alone, and not warm enough to wear outside alone except in very limited temperatures. This makes it useless. So I sent it back, paying return postage. (A larger size would just have looked sloppy.). I'm disappointed and annoyed.

I was looking for something to layer under my winter coat and this top seemed to fit the bill. It's roomy, I think I should have sized down (I am usually a Medium). Sleeves are perfect lenght though, it's just not as fitted and flattering as I would have liked. Overall this shirt is functional as advertised but I am not sure if I am in love enough to keep it, espc considering the steep price tag.

I loved everything about this except for it's length. It needs about two more inches at the bottom to prevent it from falling right below belt loops. Sadly, I am returning this item.

I ordered a petite medium...my usual size. The Royal Plum Heather is a pretty and bright color and contrasting trim is complimentary. I am returning, however, because the fit was small if you wanted even a light layer under it. Also, the material is odd. It seems to me it would pick easily as even the bits of rough skin on my hands seemed to catch it. The band at the bottom snugged up too much and created a slight blouson look. My advice would be to size up unless you like things snug and plan to wear by itself. Too expensive to settle.

I ordered this pullover in the raw indigo color and it was lovely. The fit was perfect and I would have gotten lots of wear out of it in our New England weather. When I looked in the mirror however, all I could see was the LLBean label on the left breast area. It just stood out like a sore thumb. I kept trying it on hoping I'd change my mind and even considered removing the sewn on label, but was afraid that would leave holes. If it had been placed down at the lower edge like some of beans products I have it would have been fine, but I just couldn't live with it. I wish the designers would reconsider this placement. I know others have made the same comment. Sadly, I returned it. The three stars are solely for this issue as otherwise I would have given it five stars.

The color is cute, weight is nice. I think it runs small to typical sizing, I routinely wear a medium, bought the large to allow for layering, and it fits pretty snug. It is also pretty short. I definitely wouldn't reach up without having something on under it, longer or tucked in, lol, it would expose my whole midsection.

I have never had anything from LL Bean before so I ordered a medium, which is the size I typically wear. This shirt ended up being huge on me. The sleeves were so long, they almost completely covered my hands. When I first opened it, I thought they had accidentally sent me the wrong size. Unfortunately I will be returning.

I really wanted to love this top. In fact, I ordered it twice and returned it twice in the past year. Sigh. I have to order and XL to accommodate my 40C bust, however I found the hemline to be too large for me so it wasn't as warm as some reviewers. I also saw that it melts if you get too close to a campfire and for that reason I had to return it. It is lightweight though!

I originally purchased this in an XL and the sleeves were too tight so I scaled "up" by purchasing online a size 1x -- hoping that would fix my issue. Unfortunately the torso part of the pullover just got wider (this was not my issue) and the sleeves were still too tight. I must have fat arms or too broad shoulders LOL. This same problem affects with me with other LL Bean Signature items... I 'make do' for the items that I really love (eg, Fisherman Sweater) but for this more sporty item, I decided to return it.

Loved the weight, fit, and the fabric, but the kangaroo pockets are not and cannot be attached at the top to hold in place so any heavier item, keys etc, are going to hang down. If this can be reworked, the garment would be ideal. Unfortunately, because of this design flaw, I returned.

i really wanted to like this. the quality seemed poor. the ribbed patterns seemed very thin -- i could see through the material when trying it on. this didn't seem like it would be very cozy.

It's lightweight, breathes well, and has been very comfortable in both cool and warmer weather. BUT, micro strands of the fiber pull out at times and it's developing some pilling along the binding of the pocket edges. I'm not wearing it out in the woods or pricker-bushes, just ordinary use around the house and town. And I don't use the pockets, so that's just from abrasion, perhaps from the sleeves brushing against those edges.
I was quite taken aback when I found the washing instructions - cold machine wash, no fabric softeners, dry on low setting. I'm used to Bean clothing that can take regular care, not pampering. Perhaps care instructions should be on the web site for every item?

I love the roomier fit of this pullover. I ordered it in three colors as I wear some sort of quarter zip or snap most days of the year. Sadly, I wore it multiple days with a cross body purse and it has started to pill in the area where the purse sits. The purse doesn't have any zippers or trim or anything to snag on. I am so sad, because I love these and was really excited to make them my new go-to.

I was looking for something lighter than my llbean sweater fleece to use for summer nights while tent camping. While this was fine, it was much thicker and warmer than I needed. Not much lighter than the llbean sweater fleeces I own.
