I bought this because I have a hoodie from LL Bean that I purchased several years ago that I just love. The one I have was not 100% cotton, which I think I like better. This new hoodie has pockets that are too shallow to carry much in them. I usually wear this around the house and carry my cell phone in the pocket, but it hangs out too far and could fall out. My original hoodie was perfect, so will be looking for another one (hopefully LLBean will have something like it soon).

It did shrink a little. It was some big on me and now fits better after washing. I'm taking off a star because I don't like the white trim and zig zag stitching on it, and the hoodie has no zippered pockets at all and no inside pockets for safekeeping items. I like the mid weight material, and it seems to be constructed well.

The color was lighter than I expected but still nice. And the fit was great--I'm 5'3, so just on the cusp of petite, but very short waisted. Sleeves are always too long, necks are always too deep. It's almost impossible to find PETITE CASUAL TOPS, and I am tired of rolling up the sleeves on everything. This fit just right, hitting at the hip and the sleeves are perfect. I went back for a second but the color choices were so limited. We need a red! A black! darker navy!

I live in Florida but still need a light summer jacket for indoor air-conditioning. This jacket works great for that purpose. My only complaint is that the zipper is difficult to get started and doesn't zip smoothly. But with a little extra effort, it works.

I was looking for a zippered sweatshirt that's 100% cotton, and this was one of the very few I found. So snap it up if you want the same thing--the colors seem to sell out quickly. It's sturdily made, and I like the contrasting piping. I've seen some reviews saying the material is lightweight, but to me in California, it seems medium-weight. Enough to be warm if it turns cool in the summer evening. I do think it runs large, and the fit is a bit boxy. I'm not super-small--my waist is about 28"--but the XS Petite was the only thing that fit; the Regular size was too long and baggy. LL Bean doesn't give much in the way of measurements, so for what it's worth, the XS Regular was (somewhat roughly) 25" center back (from collar under the hood to hem), 30.5" sleeve length, 40" around at the bust, and 36" around at the waist. The XS Petite was roughly 1 to 1.5 inches shorter in the length and sleeves. It seemed to fit me better in the waist, but I guess that was just a side effect of the better length (I am extremely short waisted), since it measures about the same in width.

This is my second organic cotton hooded jacket. I had purchased my first one at least 5 years ago and I am still wearing it. This jacket is better in that the hood now has a drawstring on it. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because the sleeves on this jacket are shorter than the original jacket. My wrists stick out when I raise my arms in this one. Otherwise, it is a nice, lightweight choice for summer.

Fits well bought oversized to wear over tops. Material heavier than anticipated. ( expected lighter wait for summer). But kept because will use a lot

I generally liked this but would have been happier with a smoother jersey-like cotton. I purchased 2 colors and the fabric has a ripple thru it. Also, I would have liked a better finish inside the hoodie instead of the facing covering the seams. The zipper pull could be improved with a leather-like pull.

All three hoodies are great, I love ordering a size up since I like the bigness of a hoodie. Only problem with the blue- from the picture I thought it would lean more towards navyit doesn't. I could wear hoodies every day of the year! All in all, a well made product.

I ordered this sweatshirt in a large. It fits ok but not roomy. It will work with a tee shirt. I would suggest going up a size unless that is the fit you want. I really like the green color. It goes with several tee shirts I already have.

This is a nice sweatshirt. Very sad that the majority of clothing we have purchased lately is made in China. I wish LL Bean would make an effort to sell clothing that is not made in China.

Wish it came in a 2xl

I bought two of these - one in white and one in coral. I love them. They were heavier than I expected, but I think they will still be a fine weight for Pacific Northwest summers. The color of the coral seems more pinkish to me, I don't see coral at all really, but it is a very pretty color regardless. The zipper is a good quality zipper, and everything about it seems very well-made. I'm really looking forward to wearing these for a long time, they seem quality and like they will last for many years. I do plan to wash in cool water and lay flat to dry, as even though I sized up and bought the XL I wouldn't want them to shrink at all. I wear a DD bra and have broad shoulders and the XL sizes I bought in these sweaters is just right, I wouldn't be happy if they were any smaller around the chest or shoulders. I also wish that the sleeves were a bit longer, but that is a common issue I have with just about everything I have ever ordered from L.L Bean. Other than that, these are great hoodies and I'm very happy with this purchase.

Size runs a little large. Material nice

quality fine, size just a little big, color OK, but would have preferred something darker. light weight, would have preferred something more like a traditional sweatshirt but wanted a hoodie that zipped up and you did not have anything in your sweats that zipped. Overall, I will keep it.

Had to finally admit that my older fabulous LL Bean indigo hoodie zippier sweatshirt was on its last legs (sleeve cuffs). The vintage indigo on this product was the closest match I have seen in a very long time. Was able to snag it with a 20% off sale, but still seemed a bit pricey for what it is.

Petite sizes are getting harder and harder to find, especially for very casual clothes. One should not have to take a hoodie to the tailor, nor should one have to live with rolled up sleeves and sagging armholes. This lightweight summer hoodie is perfect for a cool summer evening. Colors are faded and mild. And it looks casual without looking sloppy on shorter frames. Highly recommend.

The fit and weight of this is excellent and I can see myself wearing it a lot. My only complaint is that the sleeves are a bit short on me. I have long arms, but only a few things I own are significantly too short in the arms, and this is one of them.

Needed a size larger but there were none available.

Love the color (coral), which is reason I bought it. Fits well after washing and weight is just right for mid/high-50s and 60- and low 70s-degree temps. I also wear inside when AC on. Zipper can be tricky to get started and I would prefer not to have the white tie/string at the neck for the hoodie. Have not tied the string while wearing; only for washing.

I thought it would be a heavier sweatshirt but it is fine for spring/summer. I was pleased with the fit and fabric.

This sweatshirt fit the bill for me. I use it for the gym on cool and/or misty days, and it gets the job done. It has a locker loop, which I like. The colors are a bit drab, except perhaps for beach glass, which is a color I have had in other items before, and wasn't interested in getting for this sweatshirt. Nothing terribly exciting here, but definitely works for casual wear. As with most Bean jackets, I expect this will last a long time.

Although the catalog description fits the sweatshirt, I have an older Bean's sweatshirt which is about twice the thickness of this. This one is more like a heavy t-shirt, not at all a thick,warm one like my last. Cute, good color, and fabric just not up to sweatshirt weight. so disappointed that i sent it back unworn.

The fabric is very nice and the petite medium fits perfect. The only thing I would like better is if it was made with a white cord and white trim inside the hood, as I ordered it in white, but the cord and trim are an ivory color. I would've given it 5 stars then.
