The shirt smells like chemicals. I have washed it twice. Not happy to have a shirt that smells.

Poor design, too heavy. Too large. I wanted a lighter weight denim, better for layering, with a standard simple design. I don't like Women's clothing. It doesn't measure the body as well as mens clothes. The materials are not the same in quality.

I have purchased a number of llbean button up shirts in recent years. They have always been true to size but too short in the sleeve and short in length. This shirt was too narrow in the shoulders and too short in the sleeve. The rest of the shirt was very roomy. I am disappointed and will return. I won't replace with a bigger size because that will be much bigger around, still short in the sleeve and could very well still be tight in the shoulders. Catalogue shopping requires dependable sizes to be worthwhile.

I have washed the shirt multiple times and hung it outside for several days but the odor remains.

Not the Jean shirts we remember, and wanted so badly again! Material was not right. Too heavy, use American cotton again.please!

This had a smell when it arrived. Since it was cotton, I assumed it would go away with washing. Well, I've washed it so much that it's now too small. Took it out this year and it still smells too much to wear. Really a shame, but it's time to admit my loss.

I've always shopped LLBean for the quality... for years. This was a disappointment! The pockets are uneven (by about 1/2"), and there were pieces of fabric sewn in on the side seams where they didn't seem to be part of the design. I expected better.

I was really disappointed in this shirt. The fit and fabric were great; I would recommend it if it weren't for the strange mothball-like smell in the fabric. I washed it, but the odor was still there, though a little bit less. Perhaps it is the dye that used? Anyhow, though I love L.L. Bean products and trust the quality, in this case I have to give it a pass and have returned it.

I bought this shirt one size larger to wear over a t-shirt or tank. It shrank after one washing in cold water - especially the sleeves! I would not recommend it.

This shirt is huge and very bulky. I bought it to use as a jacket, but it is enormous in the shoulders (too square) and doesn't hang nicely. The fabric is much more stiff than I had expected. The two chest flap pockets just add to the bulk and are very unflattering on large busted women. It sure looked good on the model in the picture. I returned it.

I like the shirt, but after several washings, I can't get rid of the material's odor. It renders the shirt useless. Very disappointing.

Color and texture were very good. I ordered XL but it fit like a L. Plus the buttons were so tiny it was hard to rebutton them and ship it back to you.

I was surprised by the poor quality of these denim shirts: heavy, coarse cotton; unflattering and unfeminine in its construction; teensy seam around the bottom that guarantees that you will have to iron it just to get the bottom to lie flat (the sides of the pocket flaps curl up, too); too short to be considered a tunic. And I paid $89 for each of these? Bad call on my part.

This shirt was at least a size too small! Fabric really skimped in shoulders and arms! Sleeves too short. "Denim" is lightweight. Couldn't even try a larger size because it's not available. Cost $6.50 just to return. Started to order other items, but with my recent experiences, I've concluded that the reliable quality of L.L.Bean is history and I changed my mind. So sad. This was one of the great companies at one time.
