I have ordered at least 8 of these tunics in both large and extra large. They shrink quite a bit even washing on delicate. But my biggest complaint is every single one of these shirts and other cotton LL Bean T-shirts develop holes in the area where my pants waistband is. I don't know if it's from the car seatbelt rubbing in that area or just my waistband but it's a very consistent issue and only seems to happen to the LL Bean shirts. I have other t-shirts I've worn for years that this doesn't happen to. I think the fabric must be super cheap for this to happen.
I tried to load a photo but it wouldn't work.

Extra large too big, large too small. I'm sure the quality is there for the right shopper, but I was not the right shopper.

Washed in cold water and put in the dryer. This is the same way I have been caring for my LL Bean cotton tops for many, many years. I don't remember this being a problem in the past. This top is now too small for me to wear. Where is the quality I have come to expect from LL Bean? UGH!

The cotton material was very thin. I have ordered t-shirts from LL Bean for many years and the material is usually very substantial and lasts for years. These t-shirts were not of the same usual quality.

I ordered four of these tunics; three pastels this past summer and a black one recently. I love the fabric and fit of the pastel ones I ordered but the black one I just received is completely different. The fit is sloppy and huge and the fabric is much thinner than the ones I received this summer. It's going back.

I ordered "coral rose," which was pictured to be more of a lighter "plumb color" in LL Bean's layout. I wanted the lighter "plumb color. The shirt I received was more of the "sunlit coral," or as in a former order I did, is the same as a "coral rose." I hate dealing with returns. LL Bean, you should keep the name of the colors the same since some might be the same color in reality. Also, you need to make sure the layout shows the same color as in reality. I've been a customer of LL Bean's for about 30 years. Not pleased with this purchase. I now have two shirts that are similar in style and the same color.

I am 5'10" and this top is not tunic length. It is really a t-shirt. It falls barely at the top of the hip bone. If I raise my arms, you can see my waistband. Way too short to be advertised as a tunic.

As other reviewers have stated sometimes you order the Pima cotton and it fits like silk but L.L. Bean has changed the countries of origin and the ones made in Peru in particular are clingy and feel like they are made of poor quality stretch material. This is a total waste of money but L.L. Bean will charge you for the return.
Bean has lost its credibility with me.

When these shirts first arrived I was so excited. I am tall and these shirts had the perfect tunic length. After washing in cold and hang drying one shirt I noticed it looked quite a bit shorter. I had not washed the other shirt purchase so I held them up to compare. The shirt shrunk nearly two inches in length! What a waste. I had really liked them before washing. These are 100% cotton. They will shrink like crazy. I do not recommend them. I hope LLBEAN looks into how they are made and has material pre-washed before sewing.

This is the third of these shirts that I have bought, and this one is a full 3" longer than the one I purchased in November. It looks stupid. If I were younger and thinner I'd wear it as a dress.
Once again I have to pay for return shipping, not because I made a mistake but because bean changed a favorite item.

The size runs big. I really dislike ironing a garment after receiving it, but had to do it this time. And I found out why: after wearing it for about 2 hours, it was totally wrinkled. And my husband asked "why are you wearing hospital scrubs?" So, I would not recommend purchasing this item; definitely not up to LL Bean standards.
