Got this at the Outlet in Lake George. Didnt notice it had a marker circle on the inside back of neck. Must have been to show it was a return. Marker bled onto shirt. Very disappointed in this. If it is at the outlet customers know the items are returned.

Love the neckline and fabric in the four long sleeve tees I bought but they all became shorter after washing in cold water especially the forest green one. Will try a regular one instead of petite.

I would like to give 5 stars because of the high quality fabric, which is so smooth and comfortable and washes beautifully. However, I gave it 2 stars because Bean has persisted for decades in making this shirt in only one fit, which is a rather full cut, and too short in both shirt and sleeve lengths. I have seen other reviewers make the same complaints for years, and I have complained in the past.
This pima cotton has to be best anywhere, so why not also offer it in a fitted style, like your "best value tee" (v-neck and so on). Why not more than one fit? We're not all the same. Keep your present shape for those who like it. For me, it's sloppy and is only good covered by a sweater, and is great to sleep in.

I have been buying a few of these Pima T-shirts every year for 6 years. The last batch was definitely cut differently. Upper arm sleeves were tighter. Bust and Waist were tighter. It is not the same casual look that hides flaws. It is very disappointing that LLBean calls a shirt by the same name then changes how is it sized.

The fabric didn't wash and dry well. It is the first time that I've been disappointed with an L.L.Bean product.

I have one of these tops bought several years ago. I love it and it's still being worn. This new style has changed. The fabric is not the same. It's 'slimy' feeling. I also think it has spandex in it even though it's supposed to be all cotton. I never in my 79 yrs. of cotton wearing clothing felt anything like this before. I am returning this product.

Fabric felt good. Length of tee shirt was too short. Not enough fabric to tuck in slacks.

I bought 4 of these tops for my 95 year old Mom and when I opened them they looked plenty big. I laundered them for her since she lives in assisted living and they are barely wearable. I don't have the packaging to return these but was very disappointed in this at $28+ for each one.

Let me add my own disappointment to the list of those who, despite having followed laundry instructions, discovered that these tees shrink considerably. My husband purchased several for me in an array of colors at Christmas. After washing and drying all but one, which I used for comparison, it's readily apparent how much these tees have shrunk. While I checked "true to size" for fit, it doesn't stay true to size after laundering. Quality isn't what it used to be.

The color of this shirt is perfect and matches the sweater I wanted to wear it with. But with just one wash the shirt is too short and I am constantly pulling it down in the back and the sleeves are too short. Very disappointing.

I purchased this top 2-3 years ago in a small, the arms are a bit tight but overall I loved this top and it has worn and laundered well, This year my DIY gift was one in medium. I tried it on and it was a bit loose and the arms were long, I laundered it prior to wearing on casual cycle, cool water, damp dry and hang to dry completely. It shrunk all over, wore it a second time, laundered the same way and it shrunk further to where it now fits, however, I really hope that the 3rd wash does not shrink it to where I cannot wear it! My other older supima tee has never shrunk. Really disappointed as money is tight and I treated myself to a new everyday top, have always trusted LLBean quality. What went wrong?

I returned this item for a refund. The quality was below standard and the material was thin. I had to keep the cardigan because I had removed the tags but I was surprised that LL Bean had not kept up its quality control.

I bought three pima cotton tee long sleeve last year and love them. So this year I bought three different colors again. The material is much thinner than last year's even though they both labeled as 100% supima@cotton. It's obvious they are not the same material. I tried them on and they fit well. However, after one wash, the material doesn't hold up. The top part is wider. Crewneck, that I like, becomes boatneck. It doesn't fit well anymore. I am so disappointed. In the picture, the turquoise shirt has not been washed and the plum color shirt was washed once. Neckline has changed from crewneck towards boatneck.

I love the color and feel of this shirt but after washing it became too short to wear and boxier like the length shrank and the top became wider. I am disappointed.

I've worn Bean pima tees in this style, and all the other styles, for decades. I have had several dozen of themthe only tees I've worn all these years. But as others have mentioned the fit and fabric have changed. The fabric is especially disappointing. It's much thinner, and again as others have mentioned, almsot feels like it has polyester in it (it's also a bit shiny) though I know these say 100% pima cotton. Past ones have been a lovely substantial pima cotton. In terms of sizing, this is longer than they used to be, which is good as they shrink so much in length, but the sleeves are much narrower. Too narrow for my comfort level even though Im fairly thin. The width is a bit narrower too but that would be fine for me. But I am beynd disappointed in the fabric as the pima tees have beens uch a staple for me. Bean, please making changes for the worse!

I bought the same shirt, only with short sleeves, a couple years ago. I followed laundering instructions but unfortunately it shrunk. Lost about 2 1/2 inches in length. I just bought the long sleeve version and had the same problem. Too bad. It's a beautiful looking shirt, beautiful fabric, too. It has become way too short. I am very disappointed!

I purchased two shirts the same size. When I bought them they fit me just fine. I washed them for the first time in cold water and I let them air dry. Now the sleeves and neckline are tight. They no longer fit me in a way that makes me comfortable wearing them which is unfortunate. The length and shoulders seem to be the same, but I'm not sure what happened with the sleeves and neckline.

Maybe the definition of a crewneck opening has changed, and I missed the update, but the crewneck long-sleeved T-shirt that I received is closer to a scoop neck. This seems to be the style for all Bean T-shirts now, at least for the short sleeve and long sleeve versions I've ordered for the past year. If you are looking for a crewneck T-shirt that fits close to the base of the neck, this is not the shirt to buy.

Will not wear your new fit which is several inches smaller making the fit too tight. The shoulders and neckline fit as before. I will no longer purchase your tee shirts.

When I got 3 of these, fit great. Then laundered, following guidelines to wash cold, dry low heat. After, EVERY SINGLE ONE SHRUNK A SIZE!! also, material is very thin and flimsy. Would return but since fit good before laundering, did not keep receipt. Disappointed a lot!

I normally take a large in this type of shirt. The material was of good quality but I was very disappointed in the length of the shirt. Felt like a belly shirt. Plenty of room otherwise.

I have several of these tees and have worn them a lot. However, I had to go up a size this time :( and the sleeves were much too long. I wear a petite because of my height and going up a size should not have affected the sleeve length but it did.....by about 3". Even if these would shrink a bit, the sleeves would still have been too long, so I had to return them. The quality is good but I have noticed in the past few years that the sizing consistency is lacking.

For many years, I have ordered Bean's crewneck pima tops. For the first time, I have been disappointed by the length, which was shorter than usual and by the dye color of one of the 2 shirts that I ordered. The lavender color that I ordered turned out to be much more gray than lavender. The dark green one was true to the photo and description. The quality control seems to have slipped, and I would be reluctant to order this these items again (sigh).

This shirt does not live up to my expectations for L.L. Bean.
Originally, I ordered a size small in coral but after I washed it (cool wash, low temp dry) it had shrunk so much that it was uncomfortable - tight in the arms and too short through the body. I gave this shirt to my mother-in-law who is 5 feet tall and 100 pounds. She, too, commented on how short it was through the body.
I ordered a medium (I'm 5'5" and 125 pounds -and not big in any area), and, again after washing it was short through the body. I have never had this problem in a shirt before.
I do not recommend this shirt unless the wearer is short-waisted. Average and long-waisted people will not be covered.
