These shirts last after years of washing, and they keep their shape and size. Great quality. However, I must agree with the other buyers: you need to make the length of the the body AT LEAST 1" longer! For some reason LL Bean skimps on the length of some shirts and sweaters, this one being no exception. Also, bring back ivory, pale pink & blue and other softer colors; not bright yellow, dark pink or turquoise.

As many others have pointed out, the sleeves are too short, as is the body of the shirt. I keep pulling the sleeves down, trying to get them to reach my wrists, to no avail. i also retuck the bottom of the shirt constantly. I love the colors and the high-quality pima cotton, and I have a number of these. But PLEASE, Bean's,
make these a decent length! I ordered a similar shirt from Lands' End, which is inches longer in both areas. I prefer Bean's, but I can't argue with getting what I need and want in a base layer T-shirt.

This is a very nice shirt. I have it in two colors. The material is very soft. It is thin but warmer than you might expect from the weight. (I do wear layers in cold months.)
The fit is decent although it shrank a tiny bit after washing. That shrinkage is noticeable in the sleeve length more than anywhere else and was maybe half an inch. Funny thing is the black shirt shrunk a little bit more than the purplish/ maroony one.
Shrinkage could probably be eliminated if the manufacturers pre-shrunk the material before cutting it. It has not shrunk further after washing a few more times.

These shirts were very thin and clingy. I sent them back and exchanged them for the cotton tees that are much heavier.

I love L.L. Bean's pima cotton products and own several of them, from v-neck tees to cardigans to shells. However, the long-sleeve tee comes up very short. I usually wear petite sizes (being just over five feet tall), but even regular sizes in this tee are too short. Meanwhile, the short-sleeve v-neck tee is a *perfect* length, and I can tuck it in even in a petite size without worrying about it falling out of my waistband. There is no way I could tuck in this shirt.
I beg of L.L. Bean to please make this tee longer. I cannot find cotton shirts of this quality anywhere and would live in this cotton 24/7 if I could - but I resort to long-sleeve cotton tees from other stores because this tee isn't long enough.

I've hardly worn this shirt because it's just too short for me. I ordered Small Petite. Perhaps if you are usually a petite, the regular would be a bit longer.

When I got it, I tried it on and it barely fit for being a XL. I bought this as a replacement because all my other pima tees SHRANK in the wash with being air dried (the length shrunk not the sleeves). I don't know if I got one that was just cut to small or if this is how they run know.

I have a T-shirt I was wearing which I love for both its comfort and sizing. So I ordered 3 more of the same size, large regular. All 3 are sized much smaller, made in Peru which is usually a good thing, and on 2 of them the tags were dyed the color of the T-shirt which I find unusual. I have returned them as I am now doing on most items purchased from LLBean. So very disappointing as I have always been a loyal customer but can no longer take the chance with an order.

Why are these tees so short? The petite XS would be a perfect fit for me if it it were about 2 inches longer. I'm only 5'1" and not long-waisted, but this tee barely covers the top of my jeans. I'm constantly tugging at it to keep it from riding up. Actual dimensions of clothing should be available on the website.

I was disappointed in the quality of the fabric. Years ago I bought the same shirt in the same color. The fabric from the older shirt is much heavier. I wish you would go back to the same fabric because it's much better than this shirt I bought a few weeks ago. I'm going to keep it because I needed another shirt while the other was in the wash.

This shirt runs small, I need to exchange it for a large.

The tags (multiple) in the side seam were so irritating that I had to remove them IMMEDIATELY. In the process - there is no way to avoid breaking the side seam. So next I had to sew that back up again. Also - the sleeves are rather tight - like too tight to push up above the elbow - and they are a bit short for me - landing a couple inches above my wrist.
The fabric is very soft and comfortable- once the tags were removed. And the color is lovely. I bought the light blue one.
For the price - I'm not satisfied

In many years of ordering from Bean, I never encountered such a bad odor upon opening a package. Formaldehyde? It is a sour, vinegar-y smell and very strong. I am assuming it will wash out, so I will keep it, but wouldn't order another. The cotton is not as smooth as I expect from Pima.

I usually fit in a small from LLBean but the small was too tight. I sent the small back and got a medium, which was a better fit. I was disappointed that after washing, I think it shrunk, which is unusual for LLBean's quality of clothing. Returns are easy with the LLBean credit card.

This is not one of LL Bean's more durable shirts. The color fades after just a few washes.

I have purchased LL Bean pima cotton long sleeve t shirts for at least 10 years because of the fabric quality but especially because the sleeve length was perfect. The sleeve length on this shirt was 1 and 1/2 inches longer than previous shirts so was greatly disappointed. I wear the shirt with a rolled up cuff. Kept it only because the color was so pretty. Doubt I will order more which is truly disappointing.

Liked the colors. I ordered tall but I wish they were a little longer in the body. Seems to shrink a little in the wash.

These tees have been my favorite shirts for years (definitely were 5 Stars). They were always just the right weight/thickness and always had a silky feel. I always wore the same size. Sometime this year, it seems the material changed. I ordered red and azalea and they just aren't the same shirt. The material is heavier and not silky, and has a strange stretch to it. And the fit is off by one size -- XL is too small now.... and the length is way shorter than before. Has LLBean changed the material for these tees after all these years? Please change them back. Thank you.

I don't ever post reviews but in this case, I needed to save other women a lot of frustration.
I purchased 5 of these T's in size LG, which is my usual size with LL Bean, at my local store. I washed them in cold and dried them on low. They shrank a great deal in the arm length (about 2")as well as in the body length. I brought them back and re-purchased them in an XL. After washing and drying them, I got the same shrinkage results. I just ordered them in a women's plus because other than the shrinkage, they are very soft and comfortable. I will update this post after the one I ordered is washed and dried.

Length is too short as well as sleeve length . It will also shrink. I wash it in warm water , delicate cycle & air dry. I never put it in the dryer. But, it does shrink 2-3 inches. Love the cotton fabric.

Very nice fabric but boy did it shrink, way more than I expected since I washed in cold and dried on med. The neckline is also very tight. I think if I sized up it would have been okay

I've always ordered my T-Shirts from LL Bean and was a little disappointed with the fit of this one. It is more fitted than I look for in a T.

I typically order petite and am usually happy with the sizing but this shirt just won't stay tucked in and I am short waisted. I will keep it because I love the color and fabric, just not tuck it as I planned

I have been buying these shirts for many years and the quality and sizing has deteriorated. These shirts are running too short. Sadly, until LL Bean stops changing best selling products, I will not buy as much as I have in the past. Recently, over the past few years, you have been cutting corners on women's clothing and making the sizing much smaller, shorter and much, much too fitted! The body on these shirts are now running much too short.

Pls make length longer - these tend to shrink length wise anyway. Usually buy at Target because their lengths tend to be longer. Wish top was longer to drape more over waist to hip
