Shirt is beautiful, fabric very nice, and the fiery red is a bright Christmas or Fourth of July color. BUT I already own several of these shirts in Medium Petite so I thought I knew what size to order. Wrong! Medium Petite this time was a good 2 inches too long in the body and the sleeves and a big looser overall. What a shock and disappointment. I decided to order a Small Petite and see if that would work. To be honest I didn't hold out much hope, but to my surprise the Small Petite will do the trick. It is almost identical in size to my older shirts. I am 5' 1" and 145 pounds. I wish everybody would include their height/weight info in these reviews along with what sizes did or didn't work for them. That is the information I am most looking for when I read the reviews. That and whether or not there are pockets and whether the pockets have zippers to keep valuables secure!

Fits 4'10" 110lbs. frame in Petite XS. The lengths are always long on me, but this shirt is not as long. It does shrink slightly with laundering, but that helps me. The sleeves are a little longer on me too, but passable. I bought in the black and really like the charcoal gray. Went back to order another charcoal gray. I wish Bean would carry chocolate brown or colors for dark hair women rather than only blonde and redheads whose colors are not in my color wheel at all.

I've been buying these for years and have five or more now. It was several years back that the fabric seemed to change and the fit became closer so that I did not like that so much. However, I learned that they are great for winter because of the close fit -- they keep the cold air out. Are a little tight on me in the arm after drying on low, so that I just pull on the fabric a bit and make a little more room. Love them under a button-up shirt or pullover sweater, and they look nice alone as well. Like all LLBean clothing, they are well made and last year after year if you treat them right.

Very nice, comfortable Tee. Not too fitted, which was what I was looking for. Only complaint is that it shrunk in both sleeve length and body length in the dryer. I purchased several in different colors, and luckily I only shrunk one - the rest will not go in the dryer, which is an added inconvenience. I could try a larger size, but them you never know if it will shrink enough, so a conundrum.

I have purchased several of the Pima cotton tees, but the last one I ordered (cobalt) was noticeably shorter than the other LL Bean Pima tees I've ordered. I had to return it. I hope LL Bean imposes a little stricter sizing standards so that we get what is advertised. Otherwise, the colors are bright, the sleeves are long enough, and the fabric finish is nice.

The line on this shirt is elegant and flattering to the full figure, and it is both warm and soft. I bought the black one. However, for whatever reason, the black dye appears not to be color-fast as it turned my bra gray, especially the under arm part. It might not be just this shirt but the combination of it with the deodorant I use which might have chemically interacted with it, but I hope L.L. Bean will double check this. Still keeping the shirt as it's beautiful, but will wash with a color fixative. If that doesn't work, I'll just wear it with a black bra!

The fabric is very nice, not thin. The fit is good, too. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it will probably shrink after a lot of washings, like my older ones.

I quite like the Pima cotton tops, but if you are petite sized, be aware that the arms run quite long, and you'll have to roll-up the sleeves.

Here is my dilemma. I love these shirts when they are new. Perfect styling, softness and size. However, after a number of washes, they shrink short and bell out at the bottom. Then you can't tuck them in very well. I wash in cold water and only put in dryer for one minute and then hang to dry. I guess they are one season shirts but I keep buying them every year because I like them that much despite this issue.

I wanted to order some more Pima, Longsleeve Crewneck Shirts, but was so dissappointed that Petites don't get the same colors as do Misses. I really really wanted the Royal Purple and the Colbalt. I often feel discriminated against when it comes to buying clothes. You have no idea how difficult it is to get a good fit and the colors. I guess I will just have to wait until next season to see if there is something new. Hey how about a nice rich dark Brown.

...ordered 4 shirts Size M long-sleeve, all PIMA (BEST Quality still) Here are the issues in order of fit: CHARCOAL HEATHER (crew) and DEEP TEAL (turtleneck) -great-; RED (crew) -too loose- fits like a size larger, little "thin" feel of knit, - will be returned. Then I ordered a WHITE (turtleneck) PETITE, just to see a difference in sleeve length (unrelated to this order) and I really like that size. In retrospect should have ordered this size for years!! Conclusion: Sizing was inconsistent, maybe due to different factory sites, time of production, or manufacture of the knit/jersey itself. BUT, I'm still sold on PIMA shirts and will be back for more.

Great quality. It is the only t-shirt my 82 year old mother will wear. The only downside is that over time the length shortens with repeated washing/drying.

I have ordered Beans tees and the Pima tees for many years. I now find Beans tees not attractive on my older body. I continue to wear the Pima tees as I feel they are age appropriate for me. The fabric is so soft and the drape is good. I wish Bean would offer three quarter tees that are more fitted and shorter than the new one offered this spring. You can not go wrong wIth Beans Pima cotton tees. It is a beautiful fabric and comes in a great variety of colors and styles. Only gave it a four rating for the lack of more fitted styles.

I have a number of these shirts and they are very comfortable and also wash/dry well. The only downside is that they either shrink or they are a little too short. I am 5'7" so a little taller than average but not extreme.

This fits well for a size 2X except for the neck. It really isn't a true crewneck edging. It needs to be wider and smaller around the neck. I ran narrow elastic through the neck 'binding' to make it smaller.

I am thankful that LLBean carries a knit shirt with a nice fitting crew neck in a hard to find bright holiday red. Almost all shirts for sale have a large neck that makes me feel chilled when I wear them. I was undecided whether to order petite or regular medium size but read that it shrinks when washed, so I ordered regular. I am 5' tall. The agent on the phone said that if they shrink, it is in length rather than width. I found that the sleeves and bodice are long on me but I have not washed it yet. The smooth finely knit fabric is rather light weight but it fits well under a jacket or vest. I gave it 4 out of stars for the weight, season-wise.

I love the supima cotton tees and turtlenecks and have been ordering them for a long time. The fabric is the right weight and comfort. My only complaint is they are now a slightly fitted fit rather than a relaxed fit they once were.

Well I do appreciate the nice smooth fabric, the sizes are a bit off. I originally ordered a mediam in the regular fit; I was wearing the petite large but they shrunk up to above hip. The large regular is a bit too loose but the medium is too tight for me. I like a bit of room even though I am a size 8 small frame. The lighter colors are offputting that they show a bit too much re bra covering. The plum is great and as always the black. Hopefully will fit better if I dryer them.

Material is very thin compared to what my sister-in-law has. She purchased hers years ago. Don't feel like Pima cotton, very disappointed.

While I love that this is made with cotton and is very comfortable, the fit is slightly awkward. It feels baggy around the middle, the shoulder width is fine, but the sleeves are slightly short. I would rather have to cuff a sleeve than feel like I am constantly trying to pull it down to my wrist.

I wash in cold and dry on low. All 4 shirts' sleeves are now 3/4 length and the length just barely covers the waist band of my high rise jeans. I love the Pima cotton so I am going to purchase a tall to compensate for shrinkage.

I've been wearing the prima long sleeve crewnecks for decades. No issues. I had just gotten 2 new ones recently. After washing them, I was surprised....they shrank. They are much shorter. I'll hesitate ordering in the future. I hate questioning the quality of LLBean as far as my long time favorite prima cotton tops are concerned.
