I ordered this vest in a regular medium which is my usual size. The vest fit good with enough room to add a warm layer underneath and very well constructed. The length was longer than I like, coming down over my butt so unfortunately I had to return it. I'm 5'4" and weigh 120lb with a slim frame.

Nice looking vest that is a great weight. I tend to get hot (hot-flashes), so vests are my go-to in the winter because they keep me warm enough, and are easy enough to remove if needed. The only draw back is that if you have a belly, it will hug it very snuggly. I do love that it is longer (I have a Vineyard Vines vest that is more forgiving of the middle, but is shorter in length).

Very well constructed. A little tight with any more than a T shirt.

Returned - did not care for style of front pocket and different material. The design and material are good.

A nice vestwarm and easy to pair with most tops. However, I deducted one star for design because of the contrasting color and material on the breast pocket. I returned the women's vest and purchased the men's version in medium. Same color but more subtle, with a simple zipper chest pocket. Not all women prefer a large contrasting square of material on one side of the chest.

Bought a petite but it's really not for the short waisted person - it's fine but not perfect.

I bought this last year. I love the material and especially the length but I dislike the large breast pocket of a contrasting color. I would order more if the breast pocket was removed.

Nice material and colors, but the glaring, contrasting breast pocket on the women's model greatly reduces its appeal. Bad design. The men's model is much more attractive.

I usually like most sweater fleece products, but this vest is long and boxy looking on me. I also did not care for the patch pocket at the top. I returned mine, but others may like the style.

Great fit, not smooth to get on, fabric sticks to shirts underneath. Love the upper outside pocket.

Keeps my hips warm, which was the goal. It is not as form-fitting as I hoped - in my size of a petite small, (128 lbs., 5 feet tall, 62-year-old body - not large up top), the back gaps a bit at the back waist. But it's warm and comfortable and does the job.

Would have preferred the LLBean tag to be at the bottom of the vest in a less obvious place. Was able to remove the LLBean label with a seam ripper and it looks fine.

The petite is a little boxy, but cute. The material pulls and gets downy if it comes into contact with Velcro. Comfortable.

I have Bean sweater fleece jackets in several colors and love them. I like the sailcloth color so I ordered the vest in the same color. Surprise! When I tried the vest on, the large "white" breast pocket was the first thing that caught my eye, literally. It's very shiny and unappealing. But I loved the fit of the vest and the color. I surmised that I could remove the pocket without damaging the knit fabric. I went back to the reviews and thankfully others had removed the pocket with success. This gave me confidence to get my seam ripper out and remove the stitching to release the pocket. Mind you sailcloth is a light color, so I don't know how this would work with darker colors. I removed stitches in a bottom corner first, and saw no issue. I was careful not to catch and pull the fabric loops. As to fit, I'm 5'3" and like the longer length because the vest looks nice with leggings. I have ordered the medium in all the sweater fleece; and, at 130# they fit perfectly.

Would like the collar to lay down, otherwise perfect

I needed a vest for those in-between temperatures but I'm not entirely sold on this one. The collar refuses to lie down and the silhouette isn't flattering. Hmmm

I did not like the placement of this pocket. Felt it was in an awkward position. So I took a seam remover tool and carefully removed the stitches. Took 10 minutes. I think the vest now looks more balanced and wearable.

Wanting a vest for spring, LL Bean was my go-to company. The vest is warm, practical and will get use for spring and fall walks. Although I haven't washed it yet, I expect good results when I do. The only concern I have is that the color and shaping do light up my heart the way I want. For any money, I want something on my shelf which does. For that reason, I may return it.

I liked the pullover sweater fleece so much that I ordered the vest version. It's the same top quality material and workmanship, but man oh man, they weren't kidding when they called it LONG. MY BAD for not confirming the actual length before ordering. I'm almost 5'7", weigh 140, and am long-waisted, but my hips don't have the boyish narrowness of my youth. I tried sitting down in the vest while it was zipped closed and there seemed to be WAY too much stress on the zipper's lower section (think stuffed sausage). I'm keeping it because, other than the length, it's wonderful quality and looks great, but will unzip it whenever I sit down. I would recommend it, as is, but only for women with very narrow hips. 3"- 4" off the current length would be perfect for me, but.....I guess you'd have to then name this product simply "Vest" instead of "Long Vest." duh. Oh! Almost forgot- the breast pocket? Can't get my regular-size (5.75"L x just under 3" W), iPhone 13 in it, even without the case.

Love this vest! It keeps you warm and the color is perfect. The only down side is it runs a bit snug and bottom curls up a bit. Wish it had a 2 way zipper.

Love the colors, the length, the stand-up collar, zipper pockets, and the quality. Once the vest arrived, though, I almost returned it because of the massive chest pocket that realistically serves no purpose except to advertise the brand name. Fortunately, it's removable with tiny scissors and a steady hand! Now the vest looks great!

This vest is nicely constructed, quality. But it was too big for me. I am 5'2"/108#/34' bust/27" waist. It was more than roomy in the body. But some might want the roominess to go over bulkier clothing. I wanted a closer fit to go over a long sleeve t or turtleneck or thin sweater.

This is a wonderful vest, nice and long. But what is the big patch on the chest? I'm trying to remove it. I'd like the vest much more without the patch.

Good vest, but should be made as relaxed at 2X size
