First purchased these skorts in medium because I wanted the skort to be a little longer. But it was way to big. So I ordered the small. The waist band is thick and bulky. The pockets since they are patch pockets cause the skorts to look funny on. They add to the bulky look of the skort. The small fit is a lot better but I have an issue with the way the seams do not lie flat. They look as tho a thread was pulled which causes the seams to look puckered . To me the seams add a messy look to the skort. The bulky faux zipper, lays open when you move and with the patch pockets and the puckering of the seams the fit is just off. I am still not sure if I will keep them. In looking for skirts and skorts there is not a lot to choose from in the market place. (that are at a modest length) The temperature outside calls for skirts and skorts!! The medium is definitely going to be returned.

I was hoping for a skirt with matching, attached shorts. This was a skirt with built-in underwear. Quality of fabric was nice however.

I found this skort a little uncomfortable, though I could see it might be cute. The waist sat a little low. I feel better in the camp shorts, which are nearly as cute.

I guess it was ok, but it felt like it was short and my underwear was showing. Sent it back.

It fits but it rides up when I sit down - it's a little too short. I would love it if it had 2" inches

Love the green color and the fabric is nice. Washes well. I would like it better if the waist were a bit higher and the shorts a little longer. There is a weird ridge where the waistband, skirt, and shorts all come together which puts a lot of emphasis on the hips. Other skorts that I have are put together in a different way which avoids this problem. What is the point of the faux fly which adds another strange bulge? For me the beautiful color was reason to keep it despite the style not being as flattering as I had hoped it would be.

The design is good; I like the zip pockets, length and elastic waist band. But the shorts ride up and chaff the inner thighs. The shorts do not have a good enough elastic band at the hem to prevent riding up when walking and hiking. That's too bad because I like the other colors but won't buy another pair. I have another brand of skorts and the shorts don't ride up so I hope LL Bean fixes this problem

I bought 2 skorts 4 years ago (Vista Trekking Bottoms Skort) and I love them and am still wearing them. I hoped this skort would be similar, but unfortunately it is very uncomfortable because the shorts underneath are very short, and they ride up constantly. I'm keeping it because I already have worn it a couple of times, but not pleased with the design.

The skirt part is a nice color; the waist band is comfortable but the inner shorts are ridiculously short in comparison to the skirt - as a result they are uncomfortable. Ended up removing them entirely.

I am dissatisfied with the quality of the material.

Purchased a size 2 and had to send it back, as it was way too big in the hips. Would be great if LLBean made clothes in a O size too! 95lbs. 5' 11/2".

For reference I am a 5'1" 104 lb 55 year old woman. So excited to find an army green skort in a small size but unfortunately, even the smallest size was not small enough so I ended up sending it back and getting a my money back ( minus the six dollars for shipping and handling. LLBean was quick to refund my money. I checked the kids section to see if I could find any shorts that would work for me but no. Such are the fashion woes of smaller sized adults:(

The skirt part fits well but the shorts don't stay in place

I LOVE the vista camp shorts and have multiple colors. I like skorts so thought I'd give this a try. The stretch is great and length good. But the shorts inside are a little tight and don't stay down. I feel that the skirt part would be too big in a larger size. I'll keep this skort, but I won't buy another. It might work better if you have thin thighs.

Love the skirt, good length. The zipper pockets are nice. However the shorts are a bit tight around the thigh and so short they tend to ride up. Pairing this skirt with the shorts from the Trail Skort would make the ideal combination.

This is a great skort, but the shorts underneath aren't long enough. The skirt is a great length and I love just about anything with pockets! These pockets zip which is a bonus, too. If you're a bigger girl like me, make sure you grab some chafing cream for the thighs as the shorts ride up. If they were just a couple inches longer they'd be perfect.

The skirt part is high quality and fits well - I like the zippered pockets. Unfortunately the internal shorts ride up my legs and so my thighs chafe - not only is this uncomfortable but the whole point of skorts is to stop thigh chafing so they are not the best.

I looked at other reviews and wrote off comments on the shorts riding up assuming that folks didn't buy the right size. Don't make my mistake. I got the right size. The shorts fit perfectly. But they definitely ride up which is disappointing because now I chafe in it just like in every other skirt, which the shorts were supposed to prevent. It still looks ok so I'll keep it, but bummed out the shorts didn't work out as expected.

First the good. This is a great looking skort made of beautiful fabric in a nice color. It looked to be the perfect addition to my summer active wardrobe. That the length was a bit too long (came to the top of my knees, and not available in Petite), I was willing to overlook because I liked the style. But the shorts underneath were way too uncomfortable. I think it's because the rise is cut too short. I did not want to sit down in them.Regretfully, I sent this back.

My measurements don't match LLBean chart. Waist 33, Hips 35 1/2. Because of elastic waist I went with hip size according to their chart. I bought pants of similar design awhile ago and xs works. The rise in the shorts is too short (note another review). Need more time to wear and decide. If the shorts are cutting into me, I will cut out the shorts. The skirt itself is a good length for me and I think overall the skirt will work. Wish there was more room in the shorts rise.

A bit disappointed in them. Thought they'd fit the same as the camp slim pants which I love, but they do not fit the same. The side pockets bulge which I thought was related to needing a larger size, but it did not make any difference. I think if the pockets had zippers they would lay flat and look much nicer. They are comfortable and look cute compared to regular shorts.

I wanted to love this skort since I am a lover of skorts. The wide elastic waistband was exactly what I was looking for. The fabric was nice and stretchy with mesh type shorts. However, the fabric around the waistline had a weird "bunching" underneath the elastic that made me look like an old lady in elastic waisted pants! The hips and thighs fit nice and snug, but not too tight. However, I just could not convince this skort to make my waistline look anything but frumpy. Perhaps a size XS would have done the trick but I don't really think so. The length was quite long which was nice and modest...but maybe not for super hot weather. I did return it.

This skirt is amazing. I am an apple shape, which means that no waistbands look good on me and this does an okay job - I think the waist band could be a bit thicker so it doesn't roll. The issue I have with this skirt is that the shorts lining the inside ride up the minute you start walking. I truly believe this could be avoided if they made the lining shorts 2" longer and a bit tighter, like a bike short. Overall the piece dries quickly and looks rather cute. I'll be looking now for a skort with longer shorts lining. Bummed.

This skirt has such promise! It's a great fabric, the colors are good but the cut is not flattering. It's gathered so it makes you look much bigger than you are because of the gathered waistband. The Vista Camp shorts have the same waistband and they are flattering. The skirt under pant is tight and hot and rides up. Not comfortable at all. LL Bean used to make a great skort. It fit well. It was cool and comfortable and it looked great on. I still Have mine but they are wearing out. Please bring it back! It was fantastic!

I love the skirt besides the shorts riding up...but I cannot get over the fact that the fabric is piling. I love the skirt but the piling is really bothersome.
