The skirt fit great, and I love the fabric and the zippered pockets. They are lightweight and breezy and will feel great in the hot summer months. The insert/shorts part, however, was too short for my needs and kept riding up. I need shorts under skirts because my thighs chafe otherwise. At 4" these shorts were too small for the task. If you just want to cover your underwear and don't mind if they ride up a bit, this item will be perfect for you. My solution? I cut the shorts out with my pinking shears and wear the skirt with a pair of pocketed bicycle shorts that are longer and do not ride up. Now the camp skort is perfect for my needs.

I bought 2 of these: Soft Spruce and Toasted Almond. They have just enough stretch to not hinder range of movement. I read several people had problems with the inner short riding up but that hasn't happened for me. They launder beautifully and I just hang them to dry. I would give 5 stars if they were just a tad longer. I'm in my 60s and prefer a little more coverage when out and about.

I purchased this in XL and it is comfortable and very lightweight for hot weather, but as a large 200lb woman with big thighs, I usually have to wear undergarments that keep my inner thighs from chafing as I walk and I assumed this skirt with the built in shorts would serve that purpose but the shorts ride up leaving my thighs bare and rubbing against each other causing me to pull the shorts down discretely as often as I get the chance. I feel this skirt in a smaller size on a smaller framed woman would be beautiful and extremely comfortable but it is not the perfect skirt for me. Therefore, I give this skirt a four star rating.

Skort fabric is light and comfortable.
Nice length.
Wish the inner short fit tighter.
I wear them when riding bike taking walks.

Comfortable. But needs to be ironed before wearing.

The skirt seems to be good quality. I wear a size 14 and the XL fit as expected. I'm 5'4" & 185 lbs. I've only worn the skirt a few times so far and my only complaint is the the skirt fabric wrinkles.

Liked the fabrics (inner and auteur), the number, configuration and location of the pockets, as well as the length. When I tightened the waist string, there was "bunching" on the back side that looked very unattractive. The M was kinda small, but the L was too large. The inner short felt kinda skimpy. Also, the color selection (current, as well as navy blue and black) are not great for the summer, which is when one would wear skorts! I really wish they came in bright and cheerful summer colors (or at least the "standard" khaki)! I returned the item, ordered a navy one in L, but had to return that one as well. Sadly, it's a no-go.

The skort is made well and provides coverage with the look of a skirt.
I am disappointed with the fit of this skort. It sits just below the navel, and this doesn't work for me. I would prefer it come up to the waist.

I loved this little skort. The skirt part fit fine. I loved the material and the design and details. I only wish the shorts underneath were longer and looser: those just felt like I was wearing a second pair of underpants. Returning item. For almost $85 (total) I had to love them and I did not.

Cute skort but shorts do not stay put which is very annoying. I'd return but I've already worn and washed. Bummer

It is super cute and fits beautifully. Women know the point of a skort is to have the look of a skirt without your legs rubbing in the heat. The shorts in this skort are about an inch too short, so they ride up as you walk or sit. By the time you've gone a block or two in hot weather, you might as well just have on a plain skirt. I bought this for exploring on vacation. I'm going to keep it because it is very cute and it's great for dinner or lunch out. But it is not an all day wandering around town outfit, sadly. It's a pretty easy fix. I wore it for about an hour went back to my hotel and put on a much cheaper skort from a big online vendor that is not as cute but performs much better.

I like the thyme color and the drape of the skirt, as well as the length (I'm 5'3" and the medium hits just above the knee); however as many have mentioned, the shorts are useless since they ride up (I'll likely have to cut them out and wear my own bicycle shorts), and the waistband is odd. It extends below the waist and rolls out to create a little ridge- not something anyone wants protruding from their waist area!) I generally don't understand how either of these features made it through the design process., Especially with a reputable store like L.L. Bean and at this price point.

Great length and overall fit. The short/liners ride up and bunch at top of legs when walking around. Easy to pull back down, but kinda' of uncomfortable at times. If just sitting, no issue. Probably would have rated higher if short/liners stayed in place.

I really like the look and fit of the skirt itself BUT the shorts that are connected underneath are extremely uncomfortable. They are too short and ride up with the smallest movement giving a front wedgie! I'm tempted to just cut them out and wear my bike shorts under instead.

This Skort was so cute, but I was super disappointed when I put it on that it fit very tight and seemed to run small. The waist in particular had no extra room and was tight too. I had hoped for a looser fitting, more flattering skort for hot sweaty weather, so I sent it back.

I love the length and fabric of this skort, I do think the attached shorts are too short and ride up which makes it uncomfortable. I also do not care for the waist band. It seems to roll over.

I've really enjoyed this skort. However, the seam tore within the first day so I'm already looking at doing a repair. Otherwise nice skort. Nice color, great lightweight fabric.

The good: this skirt runs true to size for me, it looks very cute and flattering on my plus size self, and it's super comfortable.
The frustrating: The inner shorts are weirdly loose. The skort itself is the perfect size, if I go down a size I think it would be too tight and honestly the shorts might *still* be too loose. I don't really understand the design/intent, because the shorts fabric is nice and stretchy so it seems like it would be very easy to make them properly fitted like bike shorts, but instead they're loose around the bottom and ride up really easily. That means there's not necessarily as much "coverage" if I'm sitting weird or bending down or whatever and not paying attention to where the shorts are, and it means I'm still chafing in the summer heat. And those are the main two reasons for anyone to buy a skort rather than just a skirt. I may as well just keep putting on bike shorts under my existing clothes.
Extremely annoying because it seems like such a simple obvious fix. An inch or even half an inch longer in the shorts + fitted like a bike short and I would buy these in every single color. I'm keeping the one I have because it's cute and comfy if I'm lounging around indoors or something, but I was really hoping this would be easy to throw on and wear walking my dogs or out with friends on hot summer days and unfortunately the shorts issue means that won't happen.

The skirt is a nice length for traveling. You feel comfortable going from countryside to city with lots of roomy pockets. The big negative for this skort are the underlying shorts, they are too short and are very uncomfortable.

Like style overall and lightweight fabric. Oddly bunches up where elastic waist meets body of skirt and is a little lower in rise than I like. Still a nice alternative to shorts.

The Vista Camp Skort was fine but fit a little bit snug. I didn't love the color. I was really looking for something a bit more summery in color so I returned the skort. However the quality looked good, it was lightweight and it would have probably worked ok if I had kept it.

Have been searching for a lightweight navy skort and thought this would be perfect. However, the medium was tight and I always take medium in LLBean clothing. Large fit oddly so unfortunately had to return.

These would be my favorite if the hem stitching would hold. I have many stretchy fabric skirts and these are the only ones with this problem of hem sticking popping.
An inch longer would also be ideal.

Love the fabric and design of the skirt but the shorts underneath need to be longer, always pulling them done after I sit. Won't buy another pair because of the length of the shorts.

I like the lightweight skirt material, the pockets, and overall look but the included shorts are quite short and ride aaalll the way up when I walk so my thighs chafe. Will be returning.
