Perfect fit! I depended on ll bean for all of my safari clothing & gear! They did not disappoint. Spending time in various countries in Africa in May (the beginning of their winter) could be tricky. Buying tanks, short sleeves, long sleeves, insect repellent clothing, as well as fleeces fit every safari condition! I was well-prepared & comfortable every day!

Got these for a trip to Central America and they were light weight, also repelled rain. A bit smelly at first then great.

I have been too cheap to invest in anti-mosquito gear, never quite believing it would really work. This year, I was finally driven to distraction by the mosquitos in our yard, absolutely unable to garden night or day without being bitten to death, so I decided to gamble on these pants. I was AMAZED at how effective they are. I sat in the grass and weeded for an hour and a half in ~90 degree heat with nary ONE BITE. That is absolutely unbelievable. I could SEE the mosquitos in the air, but not one landed on me. I also thought the sizing was exactly right - I ordered a size 6 for 5' 6," 125 lbs and the waist and everything else fit exactly as expected. In fact, if anything, they are just roomy enough that when winter comes, I can layer them over leggings. I'm so impressed and glad I finally bought these!

Love these pants/shorts combo in a very cool color. So lightweight and great for travel in the summer, spring or fall for a hike or a casual walk.

The No Fly Zone line of apparel is a wonderful solution to the problem of being attacked by insects while you are trying to engage in outdoor activities. We have so many mosquitoes in our area and having No Fly Zone clothing allows me to engage in gardening and lawn maintenance without having to cover myself entirely with insect repellant. The clothing is light weight and comfortable and protects my skin from excessive sun exposure. It is also easy to care for and looks fine right out of the dryer. I highly recommend No Fly Zone products for comfort, easy care, and most importantly, protection from insects.

Very comfortable pants, and nice looking. The olive gray is a great color. The legs zip off and on easily, to convert the pants into shorts. I recently wore the pants in Arizona , where they worked well in the heat. Perspiration evaporates quickly. In the woods of NY state, the pants performed well against moderate mosquitoes. I haven't tested them in a very buggy environment. I look forward to the jacket, although wonder if it will get much wear. When it's cool enough to wear it, there won't be many bugs.

I wore this pant just yesterday when i was hiking, in the woods, meadows, swamp. No bugs came close by and the name no fly zone seems very appropriate. I could unzip it and wear it as shorts, but i have not tried it I did think the side pocket near the knee is slightly small to fit an iphone, i did not want to tear it, so it was not used. The fit was good. I have not yet washed it so can't comment on it.

Attractive and comfortable. Worth the $$$. Bought them just before heading for a vacation in the White Mountains. No ticks!

I really love these pants, I have wore them several times, they are light and provide a shield against flies, mosquitoes, and bugs. They are super comfortable and fit true to size. I have received many compliments on them. I thought they were pricey, but you get what you pay for!

These fit perfectly. I'm 5'3" and 112 lbs. I got size 2.

Love my new "bug pants"! Being able to be outside without worrying about tick-borne disease adds a great sense of security and allows me to really enjoy the outdoors.

I really love these. They're so versatile. I got them for a trip to Alaska and now I wish I'd gotten more pairs. The did the job against the mosquitos and allowed me to zip them off when it got hot. Pants that fit me range in size from 0 - 4. The 2s in these fit great and allowed for room underneath for leggings when it got cold. I'm 5'3" and 110lb.

I've been looking for a pair of hiking pants that convert to shorts and LL Bean had them! Going on my first Battlefield Tour to test them out today. Great fit.

They're fine, except no belt (the last pair I bought had a belt), they're a little short, and I wish they came in classic fit.

Fabric is comfortable. But the fit is more for a man's body. Someone without any butt, gut or hips. I noticed this on myself and on other women on a hiking trip.

I needed a pair of these for a recent trip that involved hiking in the rain forest. They would be perfect if not for LLBean's tendency to make the waist too small on their pants. If the waist fits well, the hips and legs are 2 sizes too big. I thought these had some stretch and might be ok, but the waistband doesn't stretch at all, so be forewarned. They are great otherwise.

Used for hiking. Worked well. Would like another zip pocket on the leg. Good product

These pants, a size 6, were perfect in the length, hip, thigh--everything but the waist. Alas, the waist had no elastic, so ultimately the pants were a no-go. Bummer.
