Used for hiking. Worked well. Would like another zip pocket on the leg. Good product

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
These pants, a size 6, were perfect in the length, hip, thigh--everything but the waist. Alas, the waist had no elastic, so ultimately the pants were a no-go. Bummer.

Overall I like these pants a lot. However the fit is weird- way too big in the waist. So I had to sew 4 tucks into them to make them fit - & I have to wear a belt to keep them up. The length is good, the butt is good- they're just huge around my waist. And I'm a very average-sized person. And I measured before I ordered. It's a pain in the butt to return things so I'll just make do with my altered pants. I do love the way they feel & they are super comfortable. and no ticks so far! So this is good.

I wanted permethrin treated, not zip off but these were on daily markdown. The zippers do not bother me at all like I thought they might. No ticks. However so light weight I keep getting wild parsnip burns above sock line. Had to switch back to jeans I spray. I thought fiber content would be uncomfortable in heat, it isn't. Please no favorite fit, make these in at the waist. Dry very quickly when hung to dry after washing. Don't know why someone would zip off for shorts when you are trying to avoid ticks and mosquitos!

I wore the NO FLY ZONE ZIP OFF PANTS WOMEN'S REGULAR on a recent trip to French Polynesia to prevent mosquitoes bites. It didn't work for me wearing these full Length pants. I didn't use them as shorts. Furthermore, I experienced a terrible rash wearing these pants in a high humidity, hot climate. Apparently, I have sensitive skin reacting to the pant fabric along with the high humidity, hot climate, and extensive walking throughout my travels. I switched to cotton, loose fitting pants, after my visit to to the onboard ship doctor for treatment of my lower legs rash. I wanted to wear these pants because of the great fit and cute styling.

The sizing is for an hourglass figure. The pant legs fit great but the waist was way too small and I wear a size 6 with no muffin top so I actually have a waist. Otherwise nice pants.

Length not sufficient. I'm 5'6" tall and wear a 6 or S. I would have expected the length to have covered my ankles particularly since the draw for me was the insect-repelling feature. No protection for ankles at all. Sadly, sending back.

It's disappointing to receive pants a full inch shorter than the advertised length. Customers service offered to replace, but could not assure me the replacement pair would be the correct length. I need them so I will keep them, but I wish LLBean would get their quality control under control.

Quality is a 5 star....however sizing consistency is awful. The waist on my second pair is 2.4" smaller than the pair I just ordered 2 months ago. So back they go.

The legs are cut very wide. I felt clumsy with so much material. I do appreciate the insect control function.

I ordered these pants AFTER filling out the size survey. LL Bean specifically indicated they expected me to be a size 12 REGULAR. And they are waaay too short for me. I'm 5'9 and 160 lbs. The waist fits fine, but they only fall to a bit above my ankles. I didn't realize there was a charge for shipping them back :( Going to try and exchange in store. I would highly recommend if you are 5'7 and above clicking the LONG size option. When I get the new size, if they fit, I can give a review on their insect repelling abilities, but right now I look ridiculous in them! I will say the material is nice, and the quality seems decent.

Ordered a size up in hopes that they'd be more comfortable. I'm not sure why women's zip off pants are thigh restricting, but they are. Great shorts, not so much when they're zipped together. The zippered area is pinchy.

Since I'm one of those people bugs love, I was eager to try these pants, so I hate to say I'm disappointed. The material is not giving at all. As an outdoor person, I hike and canoe a lot and need clothing that works with me, not against me. Adding a bit of stretch to the material would be a bonus. They also run small, if the size chart is accurate on the website. I followed it, had to send the first pair back, and feel the replacement in a larger size is also too tight. However, they do deter insects!

Really wanted to love these pants but I never understand why they have to narrow so much in the leg that if you have larger legs, they squeeze. ADD MORE WIDTH AT THE ZIPPER! Could literally be 1-2" wider to fit perfectly. Tried the size 20 and everywhere else fit perfectly. Happens a lot in this kind of pant.

I ordered these pants to use for an upcoming trip to Switzerland. I am a size 12. I ordered a 12 and a 14 because I had not ordered pants from LLBean and wasn't sure of the sizing. The fabric, quality and design of the pants was perfect. The waist on both pairs was way too tight. The pants are used for hiking and did fit me perfectly in legs, rearend and length.. Perhaps a redesign to make the waist more flexible with some stretch and a little lower. Unfortunately I had to return these pants.

After reading good reviews I ordered these pants. Fabric quality seemed good but the fit was awful ! I am not a small person but the legs on these were huge below the hips. Not flattering at all. Bottom of pant also wide but might work over heavy boots. Pants were also a little snug thru the crotch. A tall size might have been roomier ? Will not re-order.

Sizing was wrong. I went by the size chart that LL Bean provides but when I tried on the pants they were were too small.

This is quite possibly the most disappointing product I've ever gotten from LLB. They aren't shaped for women at all, but then the waist of these (which used to be Classic Fit, so another disappointing change) doesn't come within 5 inches of my waist. I buy these for gardening, and I know from experience that they can and do work as far as bugs are concerned; fortunately, there are other brands, such as Insect Shield and Ex Officio, that also work. I am very active whenever outside, but these would never be comfortable enough to wear for even a few minutes. So too short, too wide through the calf, and pockets are particularly badly done. Lower zip pockets are too small to zip shut with a phone, and any vertical-entry pockets such as these are useless because when you kneel or stand, contents fall out. I washed one pair in COLD water and they shrank in vertical length even more. So much money down the drain.
