I've been looking for a comfortable pair of shorts that would work with my big thigh + small waist combo and these fit the bill! I usually chafe really bad with shorts and have issues with the thigh area being too tight with no airflow, but these shorts give me so much room to breathe. The waistband is stretchy even if you tie it tighter which is soooo nice for me since I tend to bloat easily. The fabric is also very soft and doesn't trigger my eczema at all. I ordered a L when I'm usually a M and it was definitely the right choice. A M would've fit my waist better, but then my thighs would be too tight. Even with the extra fabric, the shorts are very flattering and I can wear them out on trails or when running errands.

These are super comfy, lightweight, and perfect for not only hiking, but walking the dog, working in the yard and just about anything. I would say they are mid-rise shorts and hit at just the right place on me; not super high (mom jeans? really??) and not too low (bye bye muffin top) - these are just right.

Love the fit of these shorts. They do run a little big, which I love as well. Love the deep pockets. They are thin and very cool. The price is a little high, though. They should be @ $49 given how thin they are and how much you have to pay attention to what you're sitting on. Picnic benches will destroy these shorts. Keep this in mind.

Great shorts. The quality is LL Bean. Several colors to choose from. I bought one and went back to buy another as they were so comfortable and TTS.

4th pair! Love them and wear them all the time. Great length- not too short, not too long.

I got a pair of these last year and liked them some much I decided to get a second pair. They are very light weight, yet seem pretty durable. I like a comfy waistband, and these definitely make the grade! I usually wear mediums, but these seem to run a tad big, so I went with a small.

I have liked my Vista Camp Crop Pants so much that I decided I needed a pair of shorts. They're so comfortable, perfect for hot summer days.

Very comfortable, lightweight. Legs not too baggy (a usual problem for me) Zipper pocket to protect keys, etc. Love these shorts!

These are Great for hot and humid weather. The have real POCKETS. They dry quickly, therefore, can double as paddleboard or swim shorts.

I bought a pair for hiking & boating and it's really worked out well. They're comfortable, fit great, and dry quickly.

Love these shorts! I wear them for golf and they are perfect! There's a little bit of stretch, pockets are good sized, they are so comfortable and the length is just right. What more could I want? They wash well and dry fast! Thanks LLBean!

These are really comfortable lightweight shorts. In the heat and humidity of SWFL they are my favorite. It is like wearing nothing they are do lightweight. Pocket size is perfect too. My only complaint is that they pill pretty easily. They can not rub up against anything and must be washed on a delicate cycle and air dried. They are really expensive for something so delicate. They also fit large. I usually wear a medium but these are smalls.

I have multiple colors in these shorts. I wear them anytime: working out, going to the beach, being outdoors, hiking, you name it! If they get wet they dry quickly. Highly recommend!

Best shorts I've ever owned. They pack so small, I can vacation in every color, just in case. LOL so comfortable. Not bulky with t shirt over them. Modest but not overly long.

I bought two pairs of these shorts for a 3-week summer road trip to National Parks. I didn't wear anything else. They were perfect: light weight, loose fitting, knee length option, comfortable waistband for driving with an adjustable drawstring, worked for hiking, washed and dried quickly. I needed the zip up front pockets for my car key fob.Didn't try to keep my phone in the pockets, though. I looked a long time to find something appropriate and these were perfect.

Granddaughter loved these but waist was still a little large at her size of extra small.

These are exactly what i had been looking for to hike in, great length, light weight, great fit, SUPER comfy w pockets...front zipper pockets were a GREAT bonus!!
