So light and comfortable, I ordered two more colors. I usually wear a 4 or 6 in bottoms, but the XS fits great.

These are my favorite shorts. Bought them in 2 colors. They are comfortable, quick drying and fit perfectly.

They run a little big so I went a size down. Love the fit! So comfortable and length is perfect!

These shorts are light, comfortable, and dry quickly. They are perfect for active summer life.

My biggest question when I saw these in the catalog was "will these fit like the pants, or will this be yet another nonsensical mail order nightmare?" Luckily, they fit the same as the pants. I am a chubby size 10, and the M pants are pretty fitted on me, but even when I was slimmer I had a bigger butt, calves and thighs. Anyway, the shorts are lovely, flattering fit, cool, and the 6" inseam is both flattering and modest, and does not bunch up in the crotch (well, it does ever so slightly, but does not require constant tugging, and again, big thighs. Very recommended, especially if you like the fit/weight/look of the pants.

These shorts are the perfect length and in a great lightweight fabric. Love the zippered pockets too. I didn't read the tag though, and attempted to iron them on high heat, and ruined the fabric. They are so comfy that I may need to buy another pair.

I LOVE these shorts. The material is cool and the fit is loose enough to be very comfortable. Plus, the pockets help a lot when working outside. I ordered two more pair so I now have four pair. I highly recommend these shorts to anyone who wants to be comfortable and cool.

These truly are the perfect pair of shorts. I am an athletic build and lifestyle. The zip pockets lie flat and dont have awkward bunching. They are my go to for walks, hikes, or active days! I have them in 4 colors and hope llbean never stops making them!

Bought these for my daily walks. They are just the right length and I love the pockets! I liked the first pair so much that I ordered another color. They are cool on hot days and come out of the dryer ready to wear.

I loved my first pair so much that I immediately bought a second. The fabric is very comfortable. The fact that they flair out a bit gives them a fun 40's vibe. They are pricier than some shorts but worth it for the style and quality.

Yes! Buy these shorts for hiking. I had brought a pair of hiking shorts with me on our trip to Utah from a different company and after one day on the mountain, needed a better pair - thank goodness for the Park City L.L.Bean store and the Vista Camp Short! The fabric is flexible (pliable, easy for hiking up steep inclines), lightweight, and durable. We had HOT weather hiking and these shorts were perfect. The elastic waist with drawstring allowed for comfortable and consistent fit even with backpack and uphill/downhill movement. I recommend 100% for hiking.

I love these! The fit is comfy and just right on my curvy body. I have trouble with shorts that ride up between my thighs when I walk and these DO NOT DO THAT!! I love the real sized functional pockets. The front pockets zip which were great while traveling for security plus when unzipped the zipper doesn't feel annoying on your hand. They are quick dry, the fabric is stretchy (comfy), I like the thin fabric that feels durable yet light. If traveling- they take up almost no space in the suitcase or duffle. They were great both at the beach/camping and walking around in the city. I bought one pair in store and just ordered two more. If I were to change anything at all about them it would be to have one of the back pockets also have a button or zipper for securing items. Highly recommend!

I love these shorts. I own most of the colors. They are the right length, right comfort and can go from hiking, to the grocery store and then to a backyard BBQ! The colors are great, however, I would like to request to L.L.Bean to make a light stone/tan color! I asked last year too. Holding out hope for this lighter color to be addedmaybe next season?!

These shorts are so comfortable! The fabric s lightweight and cool. I have only worn them hiking but they are nice enough to wear anywhere. I got the olive color and they go with just about anything. The pockets are great - deep and zippered. They also wash really well too. I hang mine up to dry. They dry really quickly and do not wrinkle. I will definitely be purchasing another pair.

They are the most comfortable shorts. I prefer cotton, but have been traveling and wanted light-weight shorts. They are wrinkle-free and as cool as cotton, light weight and hit about 4 inches above the knee. they roll up nice and small for packing.

These shorts are light weight and comfortable for hot summer days. Zippered pockets can hold my phone and keys. Length is perfect.

These are very light-weight and extremely comfortable in heat and humidity. The front pockets are roomy -- my iPhone 12 fits nicely with a little extra room for a few keys. Nice!

Lightweight comfortable shorts which look good on the trail or sidewalk

Shorts fit okay; slightly snugger in the thighs, but fine. Length is perfect; it is great to have plus sized shorts that are not too long. Fabric is outstanding for sports.

The length is just right. The waistband is very comfortable. I wanted a slightly looser fit for working in the yard, but I think these shorts look good enough for running errands too.
