I usually wear a Bean's womens large regular size for full length pants. However I found the inseam on this item too long. So I sent back the item and re-ordered large petite. This works for me. However no one would consider me petite and other purveyers of slacks sell items that I never need to purchase petite. I think LLBean's Vietnamese manufacturer needs some guidance.

I got these to update/replace some old, similar pants from Bean that simply aren't flattering. These are not bad looking and something I would wear in public. I like the drawstring at the leg openings. The material and cut make these comfortable and I believe, just a bit more flattering than the wider legs of their old camp pants.

I love how lightweight these pants are, love the drawstring ankles, and love the relaxed elastic waistband. My only complaint is that the fabric pills pretty bad between my thighs. I still recommend them though. They are very lightweight and can be worn even on hot days if you need your legs covered (think ticks) They don't stick to you even if sweaty. I took them on a recent camping trip out West and had a ton of compliments and people asking where I got them. I have navy and green, and will replace them as they wear out.

Great feel-very lightweight and well made. I wear 4's and 6's. LL Bean sizing for this item is 2-4 (XS) and 6-8 (S). I went with the small and it is too baggy. If you're trying to decide between 2 sizes, go with the smaller one.

I wore these pants to Scotland. They were so comfortable on trains, planes and automobiles. I love them as travel pants but I am unsure about hiking in them. The fabric is very soft and they did pill a bit near the pocket. I am not sure why that happened.

I LOVE these pants! they are so comfortable and look neat, not sloppy. One small request to improve the adjustable hems: without a toggle or something to hold them, they do not stay up when I try to wear as capris. Or make the drawstrings a little longer so I can tie them in a knot. Otherwise- PERFECT!!

I've bought several pair of these pants because they are so comfortable. I wear a L in almost everything from Beans, but in these I wear a medium. They're pretty cool and comfortable. I like the stretchy waist (could do without the hanging cords around the waist though!), and the length is just a little short and the legs are baggy. Overall, the pants are very comfortable and easy to live in so I do recommend them. Maybe better for shorter women. I'm 5'8" but long legs/ high waistline.

I was surprised to find these fit rather large. I ordered 2X based on the size chart. I decided to keep them because I think they'll be comfortable for summer. They are very lightweight and airy. If you want a tighter fit, order down.

In most clothes, I have been having to buy a large, but with the elastic waist, no problems. Very comfortable and the length can be adjusted up if necessary. Washes and wears well. Gets limper as they are washed over and over. Suggest drying on low and taking out promptly. This is my second order of these, so obviously, I like them.

Loved the fabric and style and the light but rugged material. Returned because they were much too long even in the petite. Can't be shortened given the leg style so had to send back.

Small was too large, but x-small fit fine. Lightweight fabric softened when washed and dried quickly, even the waistband. Nice detailing. Pockets lie flat, so no bulk. Will be great for travel and outdoor activities. Like optional draw string bottom on pant legs. Look great on. Very satisfied.

These pants are lightweight, really comfortable, great fit! They do stretch a bit, surprisingly. The 1 complaint I have is that on the first wear they snagged way too easily, especially if they are designed for "camping".

I'll start by saying that, besides the fit, I really like these pants. They are comfortable, breathable, lightweight, and great for warmer weather. However, even for a petite size the length still feels long, so that makes the fit a little bunchy on the bottom. While the drawstring waist is comfortable, I found that it runs a bit loose to start with, and continues to loosen up throughout the day so that I am constantly adjusting it. They also do wrinkle pretty easily, but that isn't the worst. I am 5'2", 122lbs, and am usually an XS/S or 2/4 in pants - I ordered an XS petite.

Great pants....a tad short for my height but otherwise great. Very lightweight and really comfortable. Wish the button pocket was a bit deeper....would be nice if it would hold a cell phone.

Vista Camp Pants fit great, very comfortable and versatile, from gym to trail. I like the weight and feel. I did experience some "pilling" after wearing them under rain pants, that would be my only concern.

If I could return them for a new pair, I would, but I would be much more careful to use the next pair for very light daily use, not for camping or hiking. Love the design, color, comfort, and fabric weight of these camp pants. However, the first time that I wore them was on a 20-minute South Africa bush walk in very light grassland. The lower pant legs and leg closure fabric for the adjustable hems were significantly snagged / damaged during this first use.

I ordered these pants because I had a knee replacement and need a pant that was a little wider in the leg than my jeans, because of the swelling. I find myself wearing these quite a bit. The knee is fine now. These pants have been great with lots of pockets. They come out of the was and look great. I did get cord locks for the adjustments at the bottom. It seems to be better than knotting the bottom.

I LOVE these pants. As a matter of fact I own three pairs and have also turned a few friends on to them.HOWEVER they started pilling within the first couple of months which I find insane given what I paid for these. And the pilling is not just where fabric rubs on something. It is all over-effectively making these pants good only for hiking and stuff where it doesn't matter what I am wearing. This is unfortunate because if not for the pilling I would wear them to everything!

First off thank you L.L Bean for your size inclusivity!!! This pant is great for larger women who love to hike :) Prior to finding this pant I was stuck hiking in basketball shorts or yoga pants (no pockets). A couple of things about the pants for people reading reviews and trying to figure out what sizes too get: I am an extreme pear shape with a 53" circumference at my widest hip/seat spot with my waist at 38" and got a misses' extra-large. The pants fit up over my hips no problem and come up to just above my belly button. The pants are neither too tight nor too loose in the hip area, having a nice slimming effect. I can squat and sit cross-legged without any pull in the seat. Additionally, the soft adjustable waistband allows me to cinch the pants in a fair amount at my waist. One thing that bothers me a little is the waistband tie is stretchy so it feels like I'm pulling feet of the tie out to get the waistband cinched down and then I have rather comically large bow, but it does allow the waist to give a little when bending down. The pant legs are a nice size, allowing for good movement. These pants also have an adjustable pant cuff which is amazing. They are incredibly light weight and wrinkles fall out of them very easily making them an excellent backpacking pant. They are so comfortable though that I've started wearing them almost daily, and they have so many wonderful pockets. They seem relatively durable. I had a nice tumble on the trail recently on rocky terrain and was pleasantly surprised that I didn't get any tears in the knees. I will note that I have had my first pair of these for just about four months now and have started seeing the first signs of pilling, and I am concerned with how this will affect the strength of the pant moving forward. If they still last me a few years despite the pilling, they will be well-worth the price. If the material in the inner thigh develops holes or tears within the first year, I'd be a little bummed. Overall so far an excellent pair of pants!!!

Fabric is unbelievably light and cool! Never felt anything quite like it. I don't usually wear petite, but the regular was way too long; exchanged for petite, and it's perfect. I ordered another pair.

Love these pants with the pockets and wide band. They make me look a little slimmer too. I would of given a 5 star but for one thing, the pockets are just too small for todays women's life style. Love all the pockets but in todays world we carry more that a key, LLBean people. Also please bring back your cotton PJ pants that were like this with the wide elastic band, so comfortable.

I bought these pants for a recent trip to Sedona, AZ. They are very comfortable. They were perfect for traveling and hiking. They washed easily and air dried quickly. I'm giving 4 stars because after wearing them once, I noticed piling on the back of them. I think it was from my backpack rubbing on them. I feel that for the cost, this shouldn't happen after one wear. I also felt they stretched out quite a bit. I wish I'd tried the extra small. I'd recommend, but buy with a promotional code so you're not paying full price.

Nice material, nice color (green) and very comfortable. However, they run large and I ordered an x-small. Since I can't order anything smaller, I would like to see them fit better for petite people.
