I like all the pockets, but the leg and back pockets are not long enough to hold a cell phone and the weight of my phone pulls down my pants, not a good look. I do love the lightweight material, it's like wearing PJ's all day they are very comfortable, but maybe a tad heaver???, also I am confused by the leg ties, If you have them, why not provide a lock?? I think maybe the rise could be a tiny bit longer, they fit great as is for sure, but it wouldn't hurt to have it a little tiny bit longer. Bottom line is they look good and feel good so I'm happy.

I bought these pants mainly because when I go out photographing there are lots of pockets for my lenses and filters. They are VERY lightweight which is good in the warm weather and they offer lots of space for bending down and sitting on the ground without binding, especially around the knees. In colder weather I will wear some tights underneath. I wish they were an inch longer. Don't like to buy the tall as the waist comes up too high. I wish there was some way way to keep the ankle drawstring tight without making a knot.

My wife loves these pants so much that she asked for a second pair in another color. I love her so much that I got them. She is working from home and I am pretty sure these two pairs of pants are the only ones she is wearing.

I have 4 pairs of these pants and love them. Because the fabric tends to pill after a few washings, I was unable to give them 5 stars. However, I imagine that I'll continue purchasing them as long as they're available. These pants are that comfortable.

These pants are okay. I bought three colors. I intended to use them for travel, because they wash and dry easily, and have lots of pockets. Although I like these pants, for me, they aren't warm enough when the weather is cooler, and they aren't cool enough when the weather is hot. I also bought the lined version of these pants and am regretting that I didn't buy more because they are perfect for spring and fall, and I find I use them frequently. Unfortunately, it appears LL Bean no longer makes the lined version. I hope they bring them back for the fall season, because I want to order two or three more of item 502841.

I had high hopes for these pants because of the adjustable waist, that they would replace my old Comfort Trail Pants which never really fit right because of the lower rise. Unfortunately, the same is true of these Vista Camp Pants, since they are "Favorite Fit" which means lower rise. That said, they do have many good features: They are made of soft stretchy quick-drying nylon of a perfect weight; excellent quality construction; lots of pockets; many colors to choose from; adjustable 17" leg opening at bottom is large enough to fit over a hiking boot; side zip security pockets; and true-to-size as designed. The adjustable tie elastic waist is a major improvement over the gaping waistband of the Comfort Trail Pants. However, the tie waistband is also the problem in my view as it sits well below the waist and causes the tie in front to stick out on the largest part of the abdomen. This causes a noticeable bump in front when wearing a knit top over the pants, and it is not very flattering. Note to LL Bean: Fabric bulk at the navel level is never flattering, even on thin people. Higher rise pants that come unto the actual waistline would avoid that problem. The front rise is only 10-1/2" which is too short in my view. (Bean's Favorite Fit has never been my favorite fit.) Other Cons: None of the pockets are really deep enough to hold much of anything. A late model cell phone would just barely fit in the front zip pockets and may not fit in the flap cargo pockets. The button flap pockets on the legs and in the back are not only unflattering as the flaps add bulk, but they would be difficult to use when hiking or going through security at the airport. I am waiting for LL Bean to offer this type of hiking pant in Classic or Original Fit, with an adequate front rise that allows for comfort when moving and a more flattering appearance. I had to return both colors purchased.

The pants offered flexibility, but were too long. With the pull cord in the cuff, they will not be easy to shorten. I wish L.L. Bean was consistent on its inseams being 30".

Have only worn a few times, but very comfortable pant. love the cut and fit. Like the zip pocket in front for bills or credit card security. Dries quickly. Cargo pocket is useless. Everything falls out. Just don't use it. Do wonder what they intended it to hold.

I like the Women's Vista Camp Pants a lot. Love the fit and fabric. They're long enough without dragging on the ground (I'm 5'4/5" wearing an X-Large)., although they're too long for me to use the cinch at the leg opening. They're great for traveling, active wear and everyday activities. I especially like them in warm weather when I still must wear long pants for whatever reason. The nylon material is very light so they're easy to pack, wash and dry. The only problem is the pockets. I like that there are 6 of them - 2 side, 2 back and 2 leg/cargo. But the size and configuration of the pockets are the problems. Due to the side pockets' shape and placement, everything falls out of them when I sit down. They do have zippers, but for everyday use, it's not convenient to have to zip and unzip all the time. But zippers are good for outdoor activities and travel. The back pockets are borderline small, and the placement of the button closure makes them even smaller...zippers or Velcro would have been good here. The leg/cargo pockets are quite small...my phone (the smallest iPhone still made), just barely fits in them and has to go in sideways. Like the back pockets, the placement of the button closure makes the pockets even smaller..zippers or Velcro would be better here. If they took the pockets of the Vista Trekking pant combined with the fit and styling of this pant, I'd have the perfect pant.

These pants worked for the purpose I was going for. I just wish they came with a shorter leg option, because the type of fabric is miserable to hem.

Overall, I like this pant. Very comfortable. I bought the petite inseam, but even though I am 5'2", I may need the regular. I'm just on the edge of which would be best. My only complaint is that the pockets on the side of the leg are more decorative than functional. Too short for an iPhone 6, which is the smaller size of the phone. A few keys, some cash, or a credit card would fit in the pocket ok. The phone fits in the front or back pocket, but not very comfortably. I would rather have no pocket on the leg instead of one that is not very useful.

I bought these originally for backpacking, they are light and comfortable in all weather conditions. I started wearing them at work as a rural mail carrier and I really LOVE them. I do have to say that the material has started to pill in the areas that my seat belt rubs. Not sure if it's because of the constant movement and the taking off and on of the seat belt, just thought I would mention it.

I love these pants. Bought several pair. They look and feel great and pack into nothing. The one suggestion I have is regarding the drawstring at the waist. The string itself is very stretchy, making it near to impossible to cinch the waist tight.

Very comfortable, lightweight pants. I've purchased them before. Only thing I'd prefer is to have a regular pockets that can hold keys or a phone without having to unzip them. I assume they have zippers because the pants are so lightweight. They wash easily and dry almost instantly if you hang them to dry. I used them on safari and was very happy with them

Bought this to wear while traveling - waistband is comfy, material is nice and light, and the zippered pockets are pretty handy! They were still maybe a little long on me, but fine after I used the drawstrings at the bottom. The two minor downsides: - material does sometimes feel like it might get some static cling in the right conditions although I haven't noticed anything egregious. - there are one or two small snags on the thigh after only a couple of wears, but I did only notice that after hanging out at my parents with a cat that apparently doesn't get her claws clipped if I'm not there...

It is made in Vietnam which is fine but might explain why the sizes are not really S, M, L and so forth. Plan on at least a size down, maybe two. Other than that, they feel really good.

Very comfortable, looks nice, good fit. However, frabic does have a tendency to snag or develop little pulls.

Unlike other similar brands of camp pants, these wrinkled way too easily - both in a suitcase and folded on a shelf.

These pants look very nice on. Cinch strings at the bottom of the leg do not stay cinched. Hip pockets are nice with zips, side thighs pockets have buttons, would be better with zips. Material is very light weight, great for travel. Material pills with anything rubbing against it. Second time I wore them it pilled. Material snags easily. Waist band is nice, sits at natural waist and has a stretchy string so they can be lowered without having to untie. Really like the pants but have to say they are fragile.

I bought these slacks for myself as well as my daughter. We both like to spend time outdoors - hiking, working in garden, etc. Love the fit and functionality with zippered pockets. I have one disappointment. After just a few times worn, my navy blue slacks have pilled up on one knee. Not sure what happened but I expected them to withstand some wear since they are advertised as a camp pant and they are a little more expensive. I will be more careful in the future and make sure I wash inside out.

I would give these pants 5 stars but the pair I have in gray pills. They were my first pair a year ago and I wore them constantly. Then I bought one in navy. This summer I bought a pair in olive. I'm 83 and no longer wear shorts, just roll these up a few times. They are the mainstay of my casual summer wardrobe.

I am pleased with the pants. They fit perfectly. I didn't have to shorten them at all. They dry quickly and look good. My only complaint is the cargo pockets. I'm not sure why the designers think that women don't need large cargo pockets. That's the point. When I'm in the field, I need large pockets for notebooks, tissues, phone, lens covers for my cameras, etc. These cargo pockets are useless.
