I bought two separate colors of these because of the cargo pockets and the relaxed fit. Very comfortable and cool and very stylish. All my friends are jealous

These are my daily go to pants in the summer. They are comfortable, move with you, dry almost instantly after being caught in the rain and pack compactly for travel. I have been an LL Bean customer for many years and you have hit the ball out of the park with the Vista Camp Pants!

I'm on a tight budget. I'd wanted these pants forever, and when I'd saved up enough Bean Bucks, I ordered them. These are so wonderful that in the future I would not hesitate to pay full price. Here's how they compare with the Comfort Trail pants that I already own (and love):
Weight: The Vista pants are about half the weight of the CT pants. I was worried they'd be flimsy. Not at all. Not only did they wear just as well as the CTs, they were far cooler on.
Fit: Vista wins here because of the wide soft elastic waistband. The older I get, the more leeway I need around the middle. Don't be afraid that they will look like sweatpants! The legs are looser but still in pants proportion. No baggy hips, etc. I found that the CT pants had a smaller waist and lower rise, so you may have to deal with a slight wedgie feeling.
Wearability: If you're going to hike in the same pair of pants for multiple days, the CTs clean up better. Just wipe them down with a wet washcloth and they look like new. The Vistas are a bit fussier. You'll need to use soap on many spots. They don't seem to repel dirt as well as the CTs do. Both dry in minutes.
Convenience: It's a tie. The CTs have cargo pockets deep enough to hold an iPhone, while the Vistas' pockets are a bit too shallow. But for those "duck behind the bushes" moments, it's so much easier to maneuver with an elastic waist than the traditional button and zipper fly of the CTs.
Appearance: The CTs look more polished. But frankly, I'm not worried about looking well pressed when relaxing in the woods. And the Vistas come in BROWN!! It's SO hard to find camping or athletic pants in anything other than black, grey, or navy. It's a beautiful shade of brown, too.
I'm pleased with both pairs. For comfort reasons alone, I'd reach for my Vistas first. For heavy duty, long term trips, I'd be glad to have the CTs along.

I purchased these pants to wear for outdoor sports to protect me from the sun. I found them so comfortable I find myself wearing them for running errands too. In fact, I love them so much I ordered a pair for each of my adult daughters too!! They are very light weight and are not uncomfortable to wear on humid days when wearing shorts are inappropriate.

These are great for warm weather. They are light and comfortable for walking, hiking, and good cover for sun.

These are great summer pants as an alternative to shorts. The material is lightweight and thin. Water sheds off and they dry very quickly. Fit is great. Rise and length are perfect. I got the navy color first then came back for the olive. The only downside is the price. I would order every color if they weren't so expensive.

I bought these pants for my 91 year aunt who is now living with us due to Covid19/Pandemic. She has Dementia and some incontinence issues. These pants were PERFECT. They are easy to put on and take off. They are good looking and wash well. They are lightweight and comfortable for warm weather. She has lost weight in the last month unfortunately and thanks to the draw string waist she will be able to wear these pants even if she loses MORE weight. Great purchase, highly recommended.

Love these pants. I have three pair in black, grey and navy. I was 15 lbs lighter before COVID, and took a medium which fit great. Had to move to a large and they are very comfortable for my extra 15. I recommend them--light in weight, wash great and dry quickly, lots of pockets.

I bought two pairs of the pants and loved them. They have pockets with zippers, light weight and so very comfortable. I have been able to wear them to work since the bank is still closed inside. Since I was wearing them every day, I bought three more pairs.

I actually bought the blue pair then bought another pair. I really love these pants. When I first got them I thought they would make that swooch sound because of the type of material. They don't! Their very lite weight and comfy. You can pull them in at the ankle or leave them straight. I bought the large. These are a little bigger than most other makers large but I'm very happy with that. And if you are in a cold area then you have room for tights or something underneath. I'm going back for yet another pair.

I love the fit of these pants! It feels very light and allows me to feel cool on very warm days. I like to have the ability to use the drawstring at the bottom of each leg. The fit is roomy so I can move easily and wear it on long drives without feeling cramped.

I love these pants. Well, maybe it's not love ... but it is at least obsession. The kind of obsession that leads me to do a teeny-tiny load of laundry just to wash these pants so I can keep on wearing them. They are an "all-day-every-day" kind of comfortable. Great pants for the summer when you want to avoid getting sun burnt or have your legs be a buffet for mosquitos. Plus I get complements when I wear them (but really, compliments are just icing on the cake with pants this comfortable). Mmm cake. I ordered two more pairs so now I don't have to do so much laundry.

Comfortable pants. If they get wet, they dry really fast.

I have had a hard time finding pants that I like because my waist is a size larger than my hips. These pants have a wide, non-binding waist band, that does not pinch my waist. The material is light weight and very comfortable over all.

I love these pants. I wore them hiking today and they are perfect for summer-early fall hikes. LL tends to run on the larger size, so I ordered the small, I'm normally a size 6 in most pants these fit really well and are so comfortable. I was originally concerned over the elastic waist but they are not tight at all. What I like is that they stay up and in place as you hike. No muffin top!

Amazing travel pants! Incredibly comfortable. Lightweight protection from sun and biting bugs. They can be tightly rolled and tucked into a duffel bag. The fabric and design can go from casual to dressy. Added bonus - easily converted to skimmers by cinching in the ankle draw cord and pulling up to just below the knee.

Just wore my camp pants for the first time on a cool morning walk, got caught in the rain without an umbrella, wet pretty good all over before my return home, and my legs were NOT wet or cold from the exposure, so happy with this purchase, thank you!

I love these pants. Though they've been a bit long the bottom hem ties, making the pant leg shorter and allowing me to wear these with my heels!
I usually take a large in a pant (12 for me) but these are mediums and fit to perfection! And I love the smaller size!

Women's Vista Camp Pants: I followed other reviewers advice and ordered a size smaller than usual and the fit was perfect. Comfy stretch waist, light weight material that is mildly stretchy overall with lots of pockets. I find them perfect for summer hiking as they protect my legs but are not hot. I bought my first pair over a year ago and loved them SO much that I bought another pair in a different color...and then another and another...And now I have all 5 colors! I live in a mountain town, known for its outdoor activities so, for me, I can wear these anywhere--grocery, dining out or hiking!

Wow. These are really some of the best pants I've ever owned. I wore them most of the week during a camping trip and they were perfect just hanging out at the site or out hiking and exploring. The fabric is super lightweight and never felt hot; it is also quick drying. I'm ready to order more pairs! Agree with others that it would be great to have lighter color options.
