I do a fair amount of garden/yard work. I bought these pants because my jeans are uncomfortable to work in when it is hot. When I put these on they felt light and comfortable. They were a bit large on me but that is because I am not "true to size" and I ordered the larger of the two sizes I am between. The pants don't seem to "breathe". After I had worked for a while and had started sweating, the pants clung to me in a very uncomfortable way. The waist was uncomfortable and when I took them off, it was somewhat still and misshapen. The pants may be fine for just walking, maybe even in hot weather. I probably bought them for an inappropriate use.

I have the green color and always washed and dried according to instructions. A strange puckering of the fabric below the knees happened almost instantly but I put up with because I absolutely love the style, fit, and lightweight feel of these pants. However, I pulled them out this spring, and was astonished at the amount of pilling that has occurred. I was too embarrassed to wear them! I have missed the return window so will try to use a fabric shaver to salvage them. So disappointing for such a great fitting pant to have such poor quality fabric!

Pants were way too big, material so very thin, ties at ankles-was expecting elastic or cuff. Quality was so poor. Appearance below par. Sent them back the same day I received them. Have never been so disappointed by a product from LLBean. I recommend you don`t buy them.

I purchased these pants in the green color this past spring. I have to wear green bottoms for my job as a fee collector at a state park and these pants seemed practical for sitting in a tollbooth on warm, summer days. The material is very lightweight, stretchy and they have a very comfortable waistband. I really liked the pants until they badly pilled after just a couple of washings...all over too, not just in areas like the inner thighs where you'd expect some pilling. The material below the knees also got these crepe paper looking lines in it. After just a few wearings and washings, they looked awful and I felt unprofessional at work, so I used a fabric shaver to remove the pills. They pilled once again after a few more wears. I have fabric shaved these pants so many times over the past few months that the fabric has become so thin and the pants just look raggedy. I'm very disappointed in the quality of the material. I had expected to get a number of years from these pants, not a few months.

These pants have seams below the front pockets that are very uncomfortable. I don't know why these seams were placed as they are. I wanted to like these pants, but I had to send them back.

I am now on the 3rd pair of this style of pants from L.L. Bean. I have returned 2 other pairs and within 6 months each pair is destroyed. I was hopeful but they have yet to fix the material from pilling. It does not seem they have remedy the problem with this material. I will attach pictures. I would suggest getting different pair of pants. I am a size Large in these pants and I have purchased similar style from Lululemon and no issues at all.

I've had these for less than 2 months now and the fabric does not hold up well at all. Even with cold wash and hang to dry there is significant piling and sort of puckering of the fabric. Very disappointing because the style is good.

These pants fit well and I like the style. However the fabric is terrible. I placed the order March 31st. They have pilled all over and look years old instead of months. Disappointing

I don't know if it was the style or the fabric, but the fit was awful. Looked like I was wearing a sack. Also the tie at the ankle had nothing to secure it with. Was I supposed to knot it each time? Anyway, I sent them back.

I bought these pants in both black and green. I loved the fit and the soft feel of the fabric. Unfortunately, after just several wearings and washings (cold water, line dried), the fabric began to pill. I was so disappointed because I had big travel plans for these pants! Hopefully, LL B will improve the fabric quality because pilling makes a garment look rather cheap. I returned them.

The minute I saw these pants in the catalog I order a pair. I fell in love with them as they fit perfectly. I immediately ordered three more pants in different colors; however, by the time they arrived, the pair I had wore (nearly everyday) were visibully full of fabric balls and snags on the thighs. Once the order arrived, I tried wearing another pair of the same pants , and the same damage happened. I returned all the pants and now caution my friends not to order the Vista Camps pants.
