The sheets are of good quality, but they are not what I wanted. I thought I was ordering pale blue, but they arrived in a medium blue. However, I've been using them anyway.

I wish it had more thread count BUT they are still great; otherwise, I would give them a 5 star. I have never had a queen sheet set that fits right, usually got smaller after washing and had to struggle to get the bottom sheet around the bed. BUT, this sheet set is great--large enough, even after washing, to fit on the queen bed. I love them and they are really comfortable. I would like to buy another set. -- I just hope they last after several washings--so far, so good.

I bought these to replace the LL Bean "peached percale" sheets I bought about 10 years ago, no longer made. The peached percales are truly the elusive "just like your grandmother's" super-soft, substantial, cool and crisp cotton sheets. These were recommended as the closest alternative, and they are very nice sheets, but they just don't have that soft finish, as if they've been washed a hundred times, like the old ones do. The closest I've found are the LL Bean sun-washed percales, though even those are not as luxuriously soft as the originals. I ended up giving the new, unused LL Bean percales to a friend and bought a less expensive "peached percale" from a different company.

NIce sheets, but could be heavier. Wrinkles a great deal after washing.

I like the feel and texture of the sheets. They are very cool against the skin. For our 11" thick King mattress they are simply too large. The fitted sheet is very loose and, as a result, tends to pull loose from under the mattress. If the mattress were 6" thicker these would be five star.

These were top rated sheets on internet search, so I bought them. I expected 300 count to be softer/smoother than those I buy for much less at Kohl's. They are very nice and well made, but I felt they didn't live up to my expectations. Maybe
my expectations were too high. Perhaps they will soften more during future washes. I'm sure they will wear well. I'm not sure they're worth the price. I did get them with promotion and coupons.

These are fantastic sheets BUT THEY NEED TO BE LARGER TO ACCOMODATE NEW THICKER MATTRESSES. They launder beautifully, feel great, and are very durable. I have used these sheets for several years on all the mattesses in my home but they do not fit well on my new 16 inch mattress. The fit on the new mattress why I only gave 4 stars---otherwise it would be five stars. Would also like to see more soft, pastel colors.

I was a bit skeptic about these sheets. I guess I mistakenly considered a higher thread count to mean a better sheet. Well I was wrong about these sheets. They are nice - very nice. It only got 4 stars because the color on the website was quite different than what showed up at the door. Also their packaging isn't very good for something like sheets. Fortunately the marks from UPS rough handling (both shipping bag and inner plastic bag were punctured several places) washed out. If they ever have these in a color that will go better with the bedroom I'll definitely buy again.

My problem in purchasing sheets online has always been variation in dimension. These from LL Bean are generous in the queen size (bottom sheet almost too generous!)and fit far better than other brands/manufacturers. They are nice and soft after only one washing. I'd have no trouble recommending them. In fact, a friend recommended them to me!

While I usually like higher thread counts, these are very good quality sheets and suit my purpose perfectly.

I chose these sheets because I needed a flat sheet that was longer than those I sometimes buy. This set is perfect in that regard. They are full and generously cut. My only criticism is that they were a bit "scratchy" at first, even though I had washed them before putting them on the bed. After a second wash, they became very soft and comfortable. They are also heavier than some, perfect for cooler weather. I would give them a 4.5 if that were possible.

Pretty sheets, but still a little stiff even after washing - not soft. A good sturdy sheet that will hold up over time.

Just ok. Egyptian premium percale are much better.

I will start out say these are very comfortable sheets. My wife and I bought a set and loved how comfortable they were. However, being from Maine my family and I have always tried to buy LL Bean whenever we could. I'd hate to know how much money we all spent over the years. BUT, you were almost guaranteed that it was a good product and they stood by their products if there were any issues. As much as we liked these sheets, a little over a year, it wore so much that it started to tear wear we laid. Mind you, we used other sheets in between washes. The warranty is for a year so we were out of luck. Ok so it happens. We ended up ordering more with an additional comforter. This is two months later and the comforter is starting to fall apart and and the sheets are seeing signs of wear again. We aren't doing anything out of the ordinary for this to happen. I'm definitely not the type of person to complain but I feel the need to write a review.

I purchased this set on the recommendation of Wirecutter. They feel very nice. They do not hold heat or cold so sleep temperature is very good. The problem is these sheets & pillow cases are very large. I have a queen size Avocado mattress: the fitted sheet has excess fabric to tuck in & because the sheets are so smooth, they come untucked; the sides of the top sheet touch the carpet on both sides (bed frame sets low.) & I had to find larger pillows to hold the pillow cases so they would not slide out of the case each night.

Bought these sheets almost 2 years ago and they are soft and cool and I enjoyed them. The other night it ripped in the middle and now I need to replace it. Despite LL Bean selling separate pieces of the set (which I appreciate!), not sure I'll be replacing it with the same sheet because I'll be doing it again in 2 years (or less). This set was expensive enough and the fitted sheet is nearly half the cost of the set.

I guess I have to say these are well made and probably of good quality fabric. But I find I am not a fan of Percal and so not happy with them. After washing them several times and sleeping on them, trying to like them, I find myself shopping around for a cotton based fabric that is softer that I will be happier with.

The sheets are okay. I don't care for the color. It's difficult to assess colors when ordering online.

I'm wondering if I'm missing something because a lot of people find these to be amazing and a lot of websites suggested these. I wanted to try percale sheets for the first time but when I first felt them they immediately reminded me of plastic table cloths that come in many different colors. Slik and plastic like. Not what I was expecting. The hem elastic also made me think of plastic coverings. Comfortable enough first sleep but can't get over plastic feel which is ironic because these are in supposed to be 100 percent cotton. I'm wondering if maybe I'm just not used to expensive sheets? Also read that vinegar and baking soda can help. Will keep trying them out.

These turned out to be a lot thinner than I expected and they are wrinkly. We were looking for something for winter and will have to use them for summer.

The fabric felt too slippery. Laundering might have helped but then we couldn't have returned it.
So we did return the sheets.

These are fine, but I won't buy another set. I had high expectations considering how much I like their flannel sheets.

We purchased this 280-Thread-Count Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set on March 4, 2023. In August 2024 (about 1718 months later), the flat sheet developed a tear near the edge, and L.L.Bean replaced the entire set.
The replacement set unfortunately followed a very similar pattern. Around November/December 2025, the flat sheet began tearing in nearly the same area. Rather than go through another full return process at that time, we purchased a replacement flat sheet at the end of January 2026.
Within a week of replacing the flat sheet, the fitted sheet from the replacement set developed multiple tears several feet into the body of the fabric not at the corners or elastic.
The sheets fit our mattress properly and were washed weekly in warm water and dried on normal heat, separately from other laundry.
We really like the crisp percale feel, but after two sets showing similar durability issues within roughly 18 months of use, long-term wear is a concern. L.L.Bean allowed us to return the set for a refund and apply a 10% discount toward upgrading to their Egyptian Percale collection, which we appreciated.

The feel of these sheets are nice but not as crisp as the description. The fit is awful the skinny strip of elastic results in loose sloppy sheets after one nights sleep. I find myself changing the bed a couple of times a week to have smooth snug fitting sheets. I would understand if I wasn't the only person in the bed.
I have held off sending this review but I am disappointed and suspect I will be returning the unopened set and moving the open set to the guest room.
Back to my search for the Wamsutta crisp percal cotton sheets I could purchase from Bed Bath and Beyond.

I'm a bit disappointed in these sheets for the price I paid. They're thin, wrinkle more than advertised and are not soft even after washing. I would not buy this product again. I was more pleased with a set of hotel sheets I purchased from Sam's.
