These sheets are not the same quality as I've ordered in past years and I was thinking of returning them, until I tried some other brands. Apparently sheet material and construction, like so many other things, has gone downhill since I last purchased. After comparing other sheets, these are less rough and more substantial than most, though a little pricey. I brought them on sale. They also come with some type of slick coating which I removed by washing them with baking soda and rinsing with vinegar in the final rinse. After that that coating was gone. All in all, they are good quality, but not excellent.

Nice sheets with one problem. The fabric is smooth and substantial; the "make" shows quality, with well-finished seams, no loose threads and simple, pretty hem-stitched details; the color is subtle and attractive. BUT: the fitted sheet is clearly made to accommodate the enormous puffy pillow-top mattresses that have become popular in recent years. I put them on my firm new mattress, which is a traditional and very comfortable 9" deep, and they are far too big. The extra size is okay for the top sheet, but the fitted sheet can't be tucked in smoothly and pulls out as I sleep on it, making uncomfortable and unsightly wrinkles all over the surface. I suppose I could use those clip-on elastic "sheet garters" to secure the bottom sheet, but that means up-ending the mattress every time I change the linens, and I'm getting too old for that. Please, LLBean, consider making these otherwise excellent sheets in a size that fits normal mattresses. (Think of all the fabric you'd save.)

I'm a percale sheet lover and have some high-end sheet sets. These sheets are nice and thick, and very smooth, but they lack a certain crispness that I've found in some of my other sheets. In my estimation they fall somewhere between crisp percale and sateen in terms of "drape" and crispness. I line-dry my sheets and then iron the pillow cases, and that usually gives me "maximum crispness", but these sheet just have more "drape" than my favorite percales. They're pretty thick, and that's a plus. They're not bad, but I don't think they'll be my favorites. The search for "crispness" continues!

The first set of these percale sheets reminded me of old fashioned percale, crispy would be an appropriate description. Yes, wrinkled if left in the dryer too long.
Subsequent sets must have some sort of coating on them. They don't wrinkle but they don't feel like percale. They feel like a combination of percale and sateen. When I called customer service to ask what had changed, they told me to wash them with vinegar. They didn't seem to understand that I wasn't looking to make them softer, I wanted the percale crispness back!
Please note that I first purchased these in January of '17.and they were proper percale. Later purchases in '17 and '18 felt coated. This was not disclosed in product description.

I am a big fan of percale over sateen sheets. Percale to me means crisp, substantial, durable fabric. The fabric on these feels a little thin, and rather silky smooth, like sateen. So we'll see how they hold up. The size is generous, with plenty of overhang on each side, even with our extra thick mattress. There is another company I buy sheets from; the fabric is A+, but the sheets aren't as long or wide, very little tuck in or overhang. Still looking for the perfect percale sheets.
But all in all, these are lovely.

I have long looked for sheets that don't look like a piece of crumbled paper coming out of the dryer. All of my percale pima, supima or Egyptian cotton sheets need ironing. I am not a fan of sateen sheets which are better at reducing the wrinkled look. Although these L.L. Bean sheets are not wrinkle free they are one of the best I have found. I just wish there were more color selections.

The dimensions for queen flat sheet as posted on the LL Bean site are INCORRECT. I received my sheets this weekend and the actual dimensions of the flat sheet are 96" wide by 104" long. Those are both the dimensions printed on the card that came with the order as well as the measurements I took.
In addition, these are definitely warm-weather sheets. They are smooth and comfortable to the touch, but at the high altitude where I live (7000 feet) I need to add a blanket to prevent getting chilled.
The fitted sheet fits over my deep mattress. Glad to see that manufacturers are at last starting to keep up with the trend for deeper mattresses.

The sheets are comfortable and soft. Wash well, but are not wrinkle free. I would purchase them again. I have a had a set of full size, twin and now queen. The fit has been perfect for all sizes.

The sheets are crisp and cool and the hemstitching is beautiful. The sheets are not wrinkle free, but are acceptable to me straight out of the dryer. (I maybe retired, but I'm not ironing sheets.) These sheets are very comfortable to sleep on, they don't hold in too much heat, like some of the very high thread count sheets.
Good quality, pretty sheets are hard to find and especially so if you want percale instead of cotton satin. I bought these sheets to replace two sets from another company. One set was supposed to be "light blue" but was really more gray. The second set was navy, great color, but they showed every speck from my white cotton blanket. My only complaint about these sheet is the "light blue" is a little too intense for my taste, I wish they were a paler/icier color.
I use 6 pillows on my bed, so I bought an extra set of pillow cases. I noticed that 2 pair of the cases have a seam on only one side, while one pair have a seam on both sides. I would prefer a seam on only one side of my pillow cases.

The sheets are of good quality, but they are not what I wanted. I thought I was ordering pale blue, but they arrived in a medium blue. However, I've been using them anyway.

I wish it had more thread count BUT they are still great; otherwise, I would give them a 5 star. I have never had a queen sheet set that fits right, usually got smaller after washing and had to struggle to get the bottom sheet around the bed. BUT, this sheet set is great--large enough, even after washing, to fit on the queen bed. I love them and they are really comfortable. I would like to buy another set. -- I just hope they last after several washings--so far, so good.

I bought these to replace the LL Bean "peached percale" sheets I bought about 10 years ago, no longer made. The peached percales are truly the elusive "just like your grandmother's" super-soft, substantial, cool and crisp cotton sheets. These were recommended as the closest alternative, and they are very nice sheets, but they just don't have that soft finish, as if they've been washed a hundred times, like the old ones do. The closest I've found are the LL Bean sun-washed percales, though even those are not as luxuriously soft as the originals. I ended up giving the new, unused LL Bean percales to a friend and bought a less expensive "peached percale" from a different company.

NIce sheets, but could be heavier. Wrinkles a great deal after washing.

I like the feel and texture of the sheets. They are very cool against the skin. For our 11" thick King mattress they are simply too large. The fitted sheet is very loose and, as a result, tends to pull loose from under the mattress. If the mattress were 6" thicker these would be five star.

These were top rated sheets on internet search, so I bought them. I expected 300 count to be softer/smoother than those I buy for much less at Kohl's. They are very nice and well made, but I felt they didn't live up to my expectations. Maybe
my expectations were too high. Perhaps they will soften more during future washes. I'm sure they will wear well. I'm not sure they're worth the price. I did get them with promotion and coupons.

These are fantastic sheets BUT THEY NEED TO BE LARGER TO ACCOMODATE NEW THICKER MATTRESSES. They launder beautifully, feel great, and are very durable. I have used these sheets for several years on all the mattesses in my home but they do not fit well on my new 16 inch mattress. The fit on the new mattress why I only gave 4 stars---otherwise it would be five stars. Would also like to see more soft, pastel colors.

I was a bit skeptic about these sheets. I guess I mistakenly considered a higher thread count to mean a better sheet. Well I was wrong about these sheets. They are nice - very nice. It only got 4 stars because the color on the website was quite different than what showed up at the door. Also their packaging isn't very good for something like sheets. Fortunately the marks from UPS rough handling (both shipping bag and inner plastic bag were punctured several places) washed out. If they ever have these in a color that will go better with the bedroom I'll definitely buy again.

My problem in purchasing sheets online has always been variation in dimension. These from LL Bean are generous in the queen size (bottom sheet almost too generous!)and fit far better than other brands/manufacturers. They are nice and soft after only one washing. I'd have no trouble recommending them. In fact, a friend recommended them to me!

I chose these sheets because I needed a flat sheet that was longer than those I sometimes buy. This set is perfect in that regard. They are full and generously cut. My only criticism is that they were a bit "scratchy" at first, even though I had washed them before putting them on the bed. After a second wash, they became very soft and comfortable. They are also heavier than some, perfect for cooler weather. I would give them a 4.5 if that were possible.

Bought these sheets almost 2 years ago and they are soft and cool and I enjoyed them. The other night it ripped in the middle and now I need to replace it. Despite LL Bean selling separate pieces of the set (which I appreciate!), not sure I'll be replacing it with the same sheet because I'll be doing it again in 2 years (or less). This set was expensive enough and the fitted sheet is nearly half the cost of the set.

I guess I have to say these are well made and probably of good quality fabric. But I find I am not a fan of Percal and so not happy with them. After washing them several times and sleeping on them, trying to like them, I find myself shopping around for a cotton based fabric that is softer that I will be happier with.

The sheets are okay. I don't care for the color. It's difficult to assess colors when ordering online.

I'm wondering if I'm missing something because a lot of people find these to be amazing and a lot of websites suggested these. I wanted to try percale sheets for the first time but when I first felt them they immediately reminded me of plastic table cloths that come in many different colors. Slik and plastic like. Not what I was expecting. The hem elastic also made me think of plastic coverings. Comfortable enough first sleep but can't get over plastic feel which is ironic because these are in supposed to be 100 percent cotton. I'm wondering if maybe I'm just not used to expensive sheets? Also read that vinegar and baking soda can help. Will keep trying them out.
