I am a bit disappointed in them. They are not soft, rather scratchy. They don't live up to the Wire cutter review. The review that prompted me tp purchase them.

2 years ago I purchased a set of these sheets in light tan. Based on other things I purchased at LL Bean it seemed like a good idea. BUT over time the sheets faded where my body touched the sheets. The pillow cases now are a much lighter color where my head rests, while the sheets have a similar lighter color along the area where my back rests. The fading seems to now cast a light green tinge rather than the original tan. Highly disappointed, not up to the quality I expect from LL Bean.

Wirecutter recommended these, but these cannot be what Wirecutter was recommending. The fabric is actively abrasive, skin raw and irritated by the morning. This is not the usual needs-time-to-soften-and-supple cotton. Something else woven in? Chemicals? Doesn't matter. Yes, they have been washed, multiple times. Yes, they have been used, for weeks, wanting them to work. How many more gallons of water and sleepless nights? With my apologies to L.L.Bean, who have been producing excellent products for decades, but this is a definite No.

All my life I have used 100% cotton percale sheets because I prefer a thicker, crisper texture. I know percale. Unfortunately these sheets are not typical percale, nor do they even feel like cotton. They are smooth, slippery, and coated with something that prevents them from absorbing water during washing. In addition, the pillowcases are poorly finished. I got two sets without hesitation (one as a gift), trusting that the quality would meet expectations. Now I can't wait to replace them. I feel so let down by LLBean.

I can't understand all the good reviews. Not soft, so I toss and turn, which causes a ridiculous cacophony of scratchy cotton. Hearing my bed partner move around normally wakes me up and drives me insane. These sheets will be the beginning of the end of my marriage.

Very disappointed in the performance of these sheets. They bunch up with every toss and turn of my body and making me so uncomfortable I haven't had a good night's sleep since purchasing them.

I bought these because Wirecutter recommended them, and it's the first time I've been disappointed. I was looking for soft sheets and these are scratchy. I emailed customer service and was told there's nothing I can really do to improve them, that I should just request a refund. I tried washing them many times, to no avail. These are not soft.

My mother bought these sheets for us for Christmas as I had read they were good quality. I expected an expensive set of sheets to last more than 2-3 years. Instead they have multiple rips in them after normal laundering in gentle detergent. These are rotated out with other sheets and are washed approximately every 2-3 weeks. I am very disappointed in the poor quality and will not be purchasing again.

For the cost of these sheets and the wonderful feel of them, I thought they'd last longer than they did. They ripped.

We bought these again after the first set ripped and have regretted it. Ordered December of 2020, and the fitted sheet has worn and is tearing down the middle by February of 2023. Our first set had the same issue and only lasted about 2 years before tearing. We do love how these sheets feel (hence the second order), but durability is a huge issue. Especially for the price. Unfortunately this is a product to avoid.

I have going to send them back but had a fall and things got behind but they are just too big. I had the all cotton Bean queen size before and they were perfect. And I really don't like the material of these. Thanking you. And sorry

The fitted sheet is uncomfortably wrinkled, when you move the sheet binds trying to move with you. Granted the sheet is for 15" pocket depth and my Avocado Green with Pillow Top is 14+". I love the mattress but not the sheets. This is my second set. The first fitted sheet ripped after a little more than two years of very comfortable use just as others have experienced. Perhaps Bean added material to lessen ripping? Sad

I purchased this set a little over a year ago. I also have an set of flannel sheets and another set of sheets so I use these only about one third of the time. That's fewer than 20 washings and they are worn through and ripped in two spots. Poor quality for the money and such little ise.

My wife and I purchased these sheets in Sept. of 2021. In Jan of 2023 I was rolling over in bed and the fitted sheet just completely tore where my elbow landed....not something I've ever had happen. I weigh 150 lbs so there wasn't a ton of stress on them. We love the feel of the sheets and were about to purchase another set as a backup. Now I'm not sure we want to do that. It seems like price vs. quality are not aligned. Customer service basically said, ship them in and wait 4-5 weeks while they evaluate and see what happens. So we have to go 4-5 weeks without a bedsheet or purchase another one and hope they decide to replace the one we already spent money on. Not great for quality or customer service. Very disappointed from what people were saying about their "lifetime guarantee". Just make it difficult to return when your product fails and hope people don't follow through...not a great business model for the end consumer. We will definitely look elsewhere for our second set of sheets and I've lost some respect for the company based on the quality of the item and the response from customer service. I get it's been over a year (by 5 months) but I've had $30 sheets last longer.

Not one, but two of my LL Bean fitted sheets ripped through after just 2 years of use. I bought one set and after some use the fitted sheet ripped. I reported this to customer service, but it was out of warranty. Then I bought a second set thinking it was just a one time flaw. Again after a couple years they also ripped through. I loved the sheets, and they are highly rated everywhere but they will not last more than a couple years. I do NOT recommend.

My fitted sheet literally ripped when I got into bed. The sheet was 1.5 years old. My wife and I were baffled...at first, it was funny. But after sending the sheets back and marking them as defective, it took 6 weeks to get a response. LL Bean said the condition was "threadbare", which they define as "normal use" and that they "don't guarantee a lifespan for their sheets". I asked where I could give feedback and the rep told me he wouldn't give me any suggestions since he works for LL Bean. I've bought sheets from LL Bean for 20 years. No more.

I regret buying these. They have a very odd feel. Almost slick despite being Pima percale. Nect time I'll buy organic.

I purchased these sheets 12/11/2019. While I initially loved them, a tear has formed within the sheets from use. It's disappointing to see a degradation of quality from L.L. Bean.

As others have noted, this duvet cover does not feel like cotton but a polyester shower liner. It is also not breathable like cotton; sleeping under this duvet cover leaves you hot and sweaty, also like polyester. I'm very doubtful that this is really 100% cotton and also surprised Wirecutter would recommend it. Very disappointed in LL Bean. I'll be returning this.

I ordered these and I may be returning them. They feel wonderful and I love the color, but they are way too big for my bed. I even checked to be sure they weren't queens. My mattress is at least a foot thick, but the pockets are much bigger. There is no way to pull the fitted bottom sheet taut and have it be comfortable. The bed always looks rumpled even before getting in. I need to check to see if all sheets are that size now. Still making up my mind.

Wish I had read the 1 star reviews before purchasing. These ARE slimy, some kind of coating that makes it feel like cheap polyester. Or maybe they are and the labeling/description are inaccurate? Beware....

These sheets are not the high quality I have bought from LLBean in the past. They do not feel like 100% cotton and definitely not like percale. Very thin, cold and actually somewhat slimy. If you want soft, cozy comfortable sheets, keep looking.

After reading a glowing review of these sheets in Wirecutter, (Why We Love L.L. Bean Sheets, March 2021) we excitedly purchased our first set of L.L. Bean Sheets. No more big box store or Internet warehouses for us I thought! Less than 15 months later, our fitted sheet came apart, shredded and ripped. We are BUMMED to put it mildly, not just by the performance of the material but also by Bean's 12 month warranty. We are three months too late! I read another reviewer's tale almost identical to mine. My advice: beware buyer!! Check your purchase PRIOR to the expiration of the 12 month warranty. We did not expect to have to be so proactive with a product from Bean. Now we know!

Too slippery! They don't stay put, and are oversized. They hang on the floor.
