Every other store has the split king xl size except for ll bean. Al lot of people have adjustable beds now and the king requires 2 fitted single xl sheets

These light weight sheets have a fairly rough texture causing my bed clothes to stick as I tried to roll over. They also have one simple elastic gather at the corner and easily come off a motorized bed corner when raised.

If I could give these sheets zero stars I would. It is like sleeping on shower curtains. I returned them.

I bought these sheets because they were recommended by Wirecutter. When I first opened them and felt the fabric it seemed kind of slick and creepy feeling as though there was a lot of polyester involved. I figured it might just be some sort of finish that was put on the fabric so I washed them a couple of times and put them on my bed and the fabric still felt unpleasantly slick and artificial. So I washed them and dried them and washed them and dried them--probably about ten times--and they got better (less artificial and slick) but they never got better enough to feel comfortable. I put them on my bed one more time, determined to make them work, but they were simply not like the pima cotton sheets and pillowcases that had bought from other stores. Other reviewers have talked about the sheets being scratchy. I could have put up with that, especially if they became softer over time. But slick and polyester-ish was too much for me.

I didn't like the feel of these so I never took them out of the package. They didn't look like percale sheets that I remembered and upon checking a pillow case in the package they didn't feel like cotton. They were sent back.

I love LL Bean products so much! I had wanted their sheets for quite some time and finally splurged on them. I was very disappointed. I washed them 3 times and could not get whatever chemicals/starch that they are treated with in China off and was allergic to it. I fully believe if tgey were manufacturing somewhere else this would nit uave been an issue. Was not planning to leave a review but an email asked me to. After 3 washes they didnt even smell different, I use free and clear laundry soap and Borax but it didn't even touch it. So disappointed, but understand that some times they have to manufacturer there.
LL Bean is the best company, nobodies perfect, they are really close!!!

I purchased these because Wirecutter said they were great. They were wrong. The sheets have a scratchy feel to them that when you move at night wakes you up. I really did have my worst sleep in a long time using these sheets. I am usually a pretty easy-going person, but I needed to tell others these are not worth $160.

I have ordered these percale sheets for years. The latest, in Mid-Blue, are frankly terrible. They are finished with some kind of chemical that makes them itchy, and I can't get it out, no matter what I try. They also lay and feel more like sateen, not percale. If I wanted sateen, that's what I'd buy! So, it you want impossibly itchy, sateen sheets, this is for you.

I love the fabric but they are too deep for my mattress. I forgot to check that before ordering.

I was so extremely disappointed when I received these sheets. I was so excited to get them that I paid for expedited shipping. They are not as soft as I thought they would be. They did not fit and definitely NOT wrinkle proof. I regret spending almost $200 on these sheets. Next time I'll stick to my $19.99 sheets from an online company.
Disappointed,

I was so hoping these sheets were the crisp cool cotton ones I remember as a kid. Unfortunately like another reviewer, they never made it out of the plastic. I could tell they were not what I expected. They looked and had a nylon type feel to them as I did stick my hand in the bag. I was really disappointed for a percale sheet.

This material feels like polyester from years ago. I am stunned the New York Times recommends them as "best pima cotton percale." That's how I heard about them and why I bought them. Luckily I only pulled out the pillow case. I stuffed it back in and returned the package. Don't shoot the messenger. You asked.

Something almost slimy, at the very least slippery about the finish on these sheets. Pillowcases want to jump off the pillows, and you'll want to join them as you slip off the bed. I''ve washed them to see if it helps, but so far still slippery.

These sheets may have been cotton at some point, but some chemical process has changed the feel to plastic. When lightly bunched by hand and released, the fabric springs open like a shower curtain. If the fibers are inspected with a hand lens (10x), they look like nylon cords.

Sheets Arrived soiled / stained. Tried to wash them out but they persisted. Returned them and rather than credit my account, got a gift card. Huh?

The sheets (both sets we ordered, one a king and one a queen) were soiled when they arrived despite being in their original packaging. Small brown stains, perhaps from packaging, appeared all over the sheets. Tried to wash them out, but they stubbornly remained. Sent them back, only received a store credit/gift card. Received several calls from LL Bean but no change to the situation. Very disappointing. Our family grew up buying LL Bean merchandise, and we even had an LL Bean credit card. What's happened to this company?

The quality of the sheet set was fine.
The service was not.
I ordered the set as a present and then realized that I had ordered a twin instead of a queen set.
I tried to get in touch with customer service, but reached a recording telling m3 that I had to call back during normal working hours.
I called back the following morning and explained the situation.
I was told that there was nothing that could be done and the order had already been shipped.
I was told to return the order using the slip that was included in the package.
No slip.
Little help.

I purchased this sheet set a week ago. The color was duller than it appeared in the photo, but that can happen when shopping online. I planned to wash the sheets prior to using, but as soon as I touched the fabric, I knew I would be sending them back. They felt slick, almost slippery, and too thin. I expect better from LL Bean.

These percale sheets are NOT worth the money (almost $200) for a queen set. The bottom "Fitted " sheet does not hold its shape after one washing and stretches out and loses its tightness. It becomes very sloppy, no longer a tight sheet. Very disappointed in this LLB product! I would definitely not recommend this sheet set

The bottom sheet developed a tear after about 2 years, after reading other reviews this appears to be a common problem. for the price I would expect better quality from LL Bean. I am practically a walking billboard for LL Bean but I will never buy sheets from them again . The box store set we have was less expensive and still fine.

These sheets are not crispy or soft at all. Super scratchy even after washing. Thankfully LL Bean has a great return policy and I was able to return no problem
