Sheet were uncomfortable. Felt like they were made of cactus.

Just arrived. I am accustomed to putting new fabrics through an initial washing to remove any chemical that may irritate my skin. I was amazed to find that my washer was full of lint and I examined the sheets to find that the stitches on the hem fell apart. It was very difficult for me to clean the washer drum of lint. In years past I have relied on llbean for quality. Began to notice over the past eight years or more poor quality control. Yet I continued to purchase items hoping "that this time" the quality would be good. What happened to llbean that I relied on for many year. But the bigger question is why I continued to order after so many disappointments. I am ill so that returning items I am dissatisfied with is not possible.

I am sure if you have a thick mattress you love it, but I have a thinner one and I don't know how to handle all the extra fabric. I can tuck and tuck and still have wrinkles!!! Do they make anything for me? The fabric is nice ..but, help!

Purchased this set of sheets solely because the description reads made of Supima cotton.
Which would account for the high price for a relatively low thread count. When sheets arrived the label states 100% cotton but Supima is not on tag at all which was a red flag. Washed them and they are not soft. So basically I have overpaid for low thread count cotton sheets? Seems like it.

After second washing I noticed a vertical tear. Doesnt seem like great quality to me. Not going to last much longer I'm afraid I expected better quality for the $

The fitted sheet is way too big! The sheets hang too long after placing on the bed!

I recently bought these and the material is very nice, but they are way too big for the bed and the material hangs over with the fitted sheet that's not snug on the bed! Not satisfied with these!

Expensive purchase for me, was excited when the percale sheets arrived; such good reviews. Washed them, put on my bed, next morning they were all loose, elastic won't hold sheets in place.

Let me just say that I have no problem splurging on sheets or anything for that matter. I found the sheets to be comfortable but they didn't hold up. I don't think they should have worn through in multiple places after a year of use.

This is my second set of flannel sheets. I like them because they are so warm in winter. The first set wore a hole in the bottom sheet even though we only use a few months of the year. The second set is starting to pull heavily after the first use. They are nice but very expensive for the quality.

I received these sheets in September, the following January (3ish months later) after light use the stitching is ripping on the corner of the fitted sheet.

After not quite 2 years of use, the bottom sheet completely ripped through. I air dry our laundry so these were never subjected to the dryer.

Got this as a gift and washed it (by itself) not thinking I would need to check it for stains. There are stains on both pillow cases! :( very disappointed as they are not cheap. I honestly haven't even done a thorough check of the fitted / top sheet because I just made the entire bed which is annoying.

I don't understand the great review from Wirecutter. These were so scratchy, even after 6 washes, that I can't stand to use them. Like sandpaper. And WAY too big for my king-sized mattress. Nothing good about these sheets, except the color was ok.

I bought this exact set nearly seven years ago and they have been well-loved for a long time. I only have one set of sheets, I wash them and return them to the bed so they get a lot of wear. They were finally getting threadbare, I decided to replace them. This set I just bought was plastic feeling and did not soften up with a wash. The fitted sheet was ridiculously large and so loose on my oversized pillow-top mattress that the sheet would get bunched up and wrinkled underneath me. Very disappointed in the quality and will be looking for a new brand of sheets.

Inferior quality. I purchased these sheets in the past when they were made in Portugal. They were fantastic. These were made in China and they were awful!!

The full size fitted bottom sheet is to small to fit on a full size mattress. Completely unusable.

I am super disappointed with these sheets. They are thick and feel like they have some sort of coating on them. The fabric doesn't even feel like cotton. I am hopeful they will soften over time, but after several washes they seem the same. They feel more like sateen sheets rather than percale.

The color on one of the pillowcases is fading after just one wash. It fades in blotches, not all over. This is the second set of the sheets I've had, and the first one did the same thing, only worse. I should have returned them. This second set is definitely going back. Too bad--I really like the color and the quality seems good. I've bought other sheets from Bean and never had a problem like this.

We used these king sized sheets for about a year and a half. In the last month or two of use they started to feel thin and fragile with small holes forming in the fabric. I then woke up one morning to my feet on the bare mattress, and an 18" horizontal tear along the sheet. The same thing is now happening to the matching comforter cover we purchased at the same time. For bedding at this price point, I expect better quality and longevity.

I was so disappointed in these sheets! Even though we have a thicker mattress, the sheets are oversized. This causes the fitted sheet to wrinkle which isn't comfortable when sleeping. Also, I find the sheets very rough, scratchy, and irritating to my skin. No way are is this sheet set worth the cost.

I bought these expecting smooth, but soft sheets. They are slick and shiny like polyester. I'm told that this is a quality called "cool" sheets. Lesson learned. I'll return these.

I was so exited for these sheets based on the NYT Wirecutter review, which just raved about them. I should have paid closer attention to the part of the review where it says, "percale isn't for everyone" because some find it too rough on the skin. To me these sheets feel like they're made of woven plastic. Hopefully they'll soften with repeated washing (as the review assures they will). But so far first impressions are not good.

I purchased initially the Mid-Blue color and loved the sheets, so with-in a year I ordered Vapor Gray and alternate between colors as I wash them. The Vapor Gray bottom sheet has developed 2 large areas at opposite corners where it became thin and shredded.
I patched the approximately 9x26 inch area with the extra length from the king sized pillow cases and now recently have purchased a new bottom sheet. Very disappointed and confused why the quality of one color is so different than the other. Paid the higher price for percale sheets expecting a quality item. I will be really mad if it happens again to the new bottom sheet I had to purchase!!!!

I do not recommend purchase. Product was significantly delayed. Once received, two tears appeared on opposite sides of the bed for no apparent reason. We have never had this happen. Very disappointing.
