I was looking forward to trying these sheets based on the Consumer report review. However, i found them to be loose and not provide a secure fit around the mattress. The material was soft and comfy.

These sheets had a very noticeable perfume-y smell. I washed and air-dried them and put them on the bed, then had to get up after a half hour and change the sheets. I washed and air-dried them again, and could still pick up the scent. The other drawback - the sheets felt clammy. I don't know how 100% cotton sheets could feel clammy, but they did.

We live in a hot climate and really like these sheets. Unfortunately, our first set developed a rip or tear within about a year. We bought another set, thinking maybe we had a sharp toenail or something, but it happened again (within a year). We felt like we were buying the best, as they are Wirecutter's top pick, but we are disappointed in how long they last. Other than that, they seem well made and are cool and comfortable.

Lovely colors and quality, got a new bed and high quality sheets, a beautiful blue and a pale gray.

I really loved these sheets but then my husband started complaining about itching and sweating. Apparently he's allergic to the nicest and most expensive sheets I've ever had. Plus he says they don't wick away the sweat and he wakes in a pool of water.
My suggestion of "go sleep in the guest room" did not go over well and I really don't want to divorce the guy so here I am stuck with these beautiful, & did I say most expensive? sheets we've ever had and I can't use them.

I returned these sheets. I don't care for "slickery" sheets, much like sateen. I like the true cotton, wrinkly almost stiff sheets. These were definitely not that. Just a personal preference issue.

I have bought these sheets in both Queen and King. They are soft, crisp, and cool. Much prefer them over supima and higher thread count sheets. Wish there were more patterns and colors.

I bought these sheets for a guest bedroom, mainly for the color, which matches a quilt I have for the bed. I used Bean Bucks. I don't really like the feel of the sheets, and really prefer Egyptian cotton, but hopefully over time the sheets will soften and feel less "slippery.

I love the way these sheets feel but the fitted sheet is way too big. I ordered the queen and even with 4+ inches of mattress toppers, it still crumples up and makes for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. I wish I could return them.

I washed them a few times and they are still rough. They don't pill and are relatively cool. But, for the price, you can do better.

The flat sheet for king and cal king are the same size, so if you have a mattress topper or a plush top mattress, the sheets will likely be too short.
My mattress plus topper is 13", leaving no sheet left to tuck in at the bottom.
Or, turn the top sheet sideways; it is 110' wide. Of course, that leaves the top hem on one side and the labels to scratch your face.

I was surprised by the lack of quality finishing on the elastic binding of the bottom sheet. Doesn't rise to the quality finishing I've experienced with LL Bean purchases. I don't expect the elastic to last.

Very nice quality sheets. But, disappointed that the 15" depth of the fitted sheet doesn't really fit a 15" mattress. It fits around the corners, not at all on the sides (can't tuck under mattress), then starts to slide out from the corners. So it's a hassle to keep the bottom sheet hugging the mattress.

These LLBean sheets were purchased six years ago to replace a set that a parent slept upon as child and young adult, and which had begun to tear with age after our inheritance and use of them. While this LLBean set's thread count of 280 was lower than desired, the 100% Supima cotton sheets wash well, and sleep and layer well. The pocket on the fitted sheet is too deep, unfortunately, resulting in bunching/sliding. It was surprising that after only six years' worth of weekly washing in cold water and tumble drying on low heat that both the fitted and flat sheets began to show signs of brittleness, tearing/puncturing easily along seams and folds. While the longest tear is about 12 inches and possibly mendable with a zigzag stitch on the machine, what sheets might be good replacements for these? Not sure these are worth a second purchase.

I bought my first set of these a year ago and love the feel. However, too big and bottom sheet wrinkles with excess material. Bought a second set recently and even those same item number, sheet are thinner so sent back. I don't know what's happening to LL Bean. Have noticed other issues with different things that I've bought. Just not up to par for the reputation that LL Bean had for many, many years.

Soft and comfortable. However, the fitted sheet does not fit well. Too loose. Would not buy again. Purchased because recommended by consumer report.

I've only had the sheet set for a couple of weeks -- time will tell how durable they will be. The fitted sheet could benefit from better elastic -- I've purchased additional elastic/clips to keep the sheet more snug on the mattress. I've washed the sheets twice and they remain a bit scratchy and they come out of the dryer somewhat wrinkled. Overall, in my opinion, the sheet set is just okay. I'd have to say not a good value and not what I expect from LLBean.

Nice fabric but the fit of the fitted sheet is not as good as it should be for this price

I ordered standard, twin size sheets. According to the measurements in description they would be the correct size.
After washing and drying, the fitted sheet was much too long for the bed.
The quality of the sheets seemed excellent.
I did return the sheets.

My mattress is a Temperpedic (Grande) a very tall mattress, unfortunately my new sheets which are awesome in every other aspect do not have deep enough pockets and do not stay in place after a night of sleep.

Disappointing. Nothing special for what you pay. The cotton doesn't leap out at you,

I bought on recommendation of Consumer Reports, we have a Tempur-Pedic King Mattress
They wrinkle about the same as all others, the quick refresh steam option on my dryer helps.
The fitted sheet hangs loose, elastic is worthless and sheet pulls up easily.
They are crisp feeling not scratchy like some, but not soft absolutely. Wife is more ok with this than I am.
King pillow cases are huge, King pillows are swallowed in them and the extra has to be tucked in

I REALLY wanted to like these sheets and was hoping that all of the reviews that said they were scratchy were wrong, Having tried them for about a month, however, I am sorry to say that they felt scratchy to me too. I am usually able to count on Consumer Reports ratings but not in this case. I love percale and was hoping that these sheets would be soft but crisp like the Wamsutta Supercale sheets I used to buy 20+ years ago. The LLBean sheets appear to be well made, but no matter how many times I washed them, they just did not feel good on my skin, so I am returning them. I know that the feeling of sheet is very subjective and I am sure they are great for some people but not for me :( It is good to know, however, that other people had the same experience as me, so I am not crazy about the way these sheets felt to me.
Disappointed I,

The fabric is lovely. But the full size fitted sheet is too big for our mattress about 3" too big in both length and width. It is impossible to get a smooth fit.

I like the fabric very much. But the bottom sheet fits very loosely on my full size bed which results in lots of wrinkles.
