I am extremely disappointed with the king Pima Percale sheets we purchased from L.L.Bean. They are too big for our king mattress and they are not soft.

Not impressed with these sheets. Bought the queen set in the Lake color, which is much darker in person than they seem on-line. Three things really stood out from the get go: they wrinkle terribly after washing and drying, with little to no shrinking, and seeing how the bottom sheet is way too big for my 13" mattress depth it comes untucked easily; as reviewer Joan W (see below) pointed out, the bottom sheet elastic is quite flimsy with the "side" indicator (top, bottom, side) tag being so small I could hardly find it; and finally, these sheets aren't at all that soft, but feel course to the touch, with minimal "crispness." Have washed them and used them, so unable to return them. Lesson learned that the percale 280-thread-count sheets aren't that great.

I DON'T KNOW HOW I LIKE THESE SHEETS. I purchased these as a gift, and did so some weeks ago because your company offered a special discount to new customers. Pushing me to write this review now is stupid. Your review process needs to understand how people actually buy and use your products. You really need to have some marketing "experts" review your review processes, because I am supremely unimpressed.

The sheets are well made with good quality and a material is nice to touch. The width of the bottom fitted sheet could be larger to ensure the sheet stays tucked under the mattress.

These sheets were highly recommended and so I decided to spend more than I normally would to buy them. My only objection is that the fitted sheet does not fit tightly. Whether it's a case of not enough elastic on the sides or not strong enough elastic, the net result is that the fitted sheet immediately becomes loose and wrinkly. I've tried to tuck it in more forcefully when I make the bed but it immediately becomes loose. It is very disappointing.

Bought these due to high ratings; the sheets are just "fine" as I cannot complain about them overall. However, I was really looking for a "wow" experience, as a treat from the luxury quality. That did not happen. I regret paying quite a higher price for these sheets as I could have purchased similar ones for much less, elsewhere.

This fit perfect on my full size bed. I have washed them several times no fading but they do not feel soft at all. They feel scratchy for some reason. This is my 4th pair I haven bought so I am not sure if they changed manufacturers or the quality is just not there. Disappointed these sheets are expensive and they do hold up well but this pair is not my favorite.

There is a certain crispness and coolness to the finer hotel sheets. I wish I knew how they were weaved! These sheets come up short for me. I'm sure they are fine for anyone else.

Quality is fine. Color is very bright--brighter than web image.

I've ordered these full size sheet sets a few times over the years. I believe the cotton material has become thinner and the fitted sheet has become looser. I'm not sure I'll purchase these again.

Not staying on bed. Could be my matress pad that is impeding things but still frustrating. Seems well put together

After several washings, the sheets are quite soft but have started to cling/stick to each other. They also appear to have gotten thinner as though initially there was some type of finish that disappeared in the wash. The NYT Wire cutter rating/review led to this purchase. Will have to wait and see if this set lasts 4 years with weekly washing as did our previous $250 set.

The sheet set (full) allows for a very thick mattress. Mine is not, so the bottom sheet is very loose and not taut. They do seem comfortable. Jury's still out on their longevity. I have longer pillows so the cases aren't of use to me. Would have been nice if I could have swapped the pillow cases for longer ones. Kinda expensive.

The sheets are ok. Not very thick and they get baggy on the bed.

I received these in May and was thrilled with the color, they are not the softest but is a good quality strong fabric. So I order another fitted sheet in December so I could swap it out more. I only wash these about once every three weeks for better or worse and with mild detergent and as you can see in that short time and few washes they went from a unique beautiful color to a faded just okay color.

These sheets are nice, although not that soft. My wife and I are hoping that they get softer over time. We have a 11.5" thick mattress and the fitted sheet fits well. The flat sheet is huge and hangs quite a bit on both sides.

I bought 3 sets but returned 2 because the sheets were a bit scratchy even after several washes.

Washed 2x, still not sure if I love them. Not as smooth as sheets I have bought from bean.

I love these sheets! Beautiful and feel great, but I wish the cases had an envelope closure to make them perfect.

Thin, no special feel, extra width makes it a chore to tuck in both sides.

Comfortable fabric. The fitted sheet seems a bit too large; It doesn't hug the mattress like other fitted sheets.

The sheets are very soft and comfortable but the fitted one is too big. The flat one is too wide and sticks out from under my quilt on each side. I was very disappointed.

These are not a crisp percale sheet, even with ironing. They seem sturdy and should last. The color seems uneven throughout the material; I should have selected a pattern instead of a solid so I wouldn't notice that.

These are passable cotton sheets. Not noticably better, perhaps slightly worse, than much cheaper sheets from big box stores/online.

Bought these sheets 3 years ago and today, discovered some holes in the flat sheet, used as the bottom sheet. I guess I'll be pulling out my darning needle. I have bought many LL Bean products over the years and love the way things last. Not so much with these sheets.
