Looked for this blanket for two years - originally a wedding gift many years ago. Soft, cozy, warm, and no piling. Easy to wash and dry on casual/gentle cycle.

This is the softest blanket I've ever bought. Highly recommended. The only downside to this blanket, you never want to get out of bed. Very well made also. Will probably last me forever. Love it!!!!

Very pleased with blanket. It is very soft and warm. The only problem with it is that my wife keeps "stealing" it in the middle of the night.

I fell in love with this blanket at Bean's outlet store but it was my sister who sent it to me for an early birthday present. I LOVE it! It is so plush and warm. I love the softness, the feel of it, it's magical! The only negative thing about it is that it's much harder to get out of bed. I'm hoping it will retain it's plushy softness after it gets washed.

The blanket arrived yesterday, and I had my first sleep in it with night-time temperatures just over freezing, and no heating on in my home. It is wonderfully soft and warm, much warmer than the fleece blanket which it replaced, and I felt toasty and comfortable all night. I use it with LL Bean flannel sheets which are a few years old at this point, and a light cotton quilt from IKEA, and did not find the alleged slipperiness of the item to be a problem at all. Although I can see potential difficulties when you try to use it with percale sheets. Really happy with my purchase.

I've had this blanket for over a year and I love it. It is surprisingly warm and washes and dries like a dream. I did read other reviews that mentioned pills, but mine did not. It also has not slid off the bed, I have silk sheets and it stays on just fine. Highly recommend for winter. :)

warm blanket with out being heavy

This is the most soft, luxurious, cuddly blanket on earth. Absolutely in love with this. It's great on cold nights and it will keep you warm. I can also say that for hot nights too. It will keep you at a very comfortable temperature. Highly recommend this.

I bought this blanket for guests to use when visiting, but I started using it after it got colder and I might have to get another. The blanket is really warm and comfortable. It's well-made and has held up really well so far! I'm very happy with my purchase.

I was sick of my wool blanket...itchy, dry-clean ONLY (which I was sick of and washed it anyway)... I set out to find a blanket that was warm, generous in size, soft, durable and machine washable. I'd had great luck with previous LL Bean bedding products so I started there and didn't look any further! I ordered this blanket and it is more wonderful than I imagined AND when I washed it it came out the same as from the package...I was skeptical that something would indeed change. I thought it may pill or flatten it's incredible fluff which isn't linty at all! It was perfect after washing! Downside? Our 2 cats think its awesome too and do the"cat massage" thing every time they jump up. Definitely will buy another in spite of the cats!

I bought this for our twin bed, already have one for our queen bed. I love it because it is so light, and almost feels like an electric blanket because it is so warm. I don't know why so many complain of it shedding, whatever... Mine has never had that kind of problem at all. It says to dry it without heat, which I have a setting for on my dryer - air dry. Maybe they tossed it into a hot dryer and that did something to it. This blanket is the best and I love the light blue color and it's softness.

Great cozy blanket, washes well, purchased for myself but gave it to my grandson. Need to buy another one.

This is the best blanket I have ever bought. Every winter I go through this nonsense of finding a warm, soft blanket & I never get exactly what I want. This winter I thought I'd give LLBean a try. This blanket is THE softest, cuddliest blanket ever. It is very well made, all the edges are finished off and it is WARM! I used to sleep with 3 blankets on during the winter; this year I've only needed this blanket. I loved it so much I bought a twin size to use as a throw. I can't see these blankets wearing out and I haven't washed them yet so I don't know how they turn out after that, but I don't think there will be problems - this blanket is so well made!

This is the softest most cuddly blanket ever! Really warm even when not turned on. Kinda pricey but you definitely get what you pay for.

We have purchased 3 of these blankets so far because we like them so much. You like a warm hug? Then you will like them as much as we do!

This is such a wonderful blanket I am using it for a comforter and I'm buying two more the softness is unbelievable this is the best blanket I ever owned, I love all my other L.L. Bean blankets, but this is my favorite. I highly recommend this blanket

Wish we had this blanket years ago; especially living in a State that has L O N G cold winters. It's so nice to crawl into a soft, welcoming bed that provides instant warmth. Thank you LLBean, you nailed it.

Love the feel and warmth. My only complaint is that it is so soft that it slides around on my other bedding. Not a problem worthy of giving up my wicked coziness.!

This is our third wicked cozy blanket. I bought a queen last year for myself and then a twin for my son this fall. My daughter preferred my bed because of the blanket and so I had to buy her one too. Its very warm and I love going to bed each night with my llbean flannel sheets and cozy blanket.
